Colt Single Action Army .32-20 SN: 335156

Lot # 225a (Sale Order: 301 of 795)      

The classic American Colt SAA 1st Generation smokeless chambered in .32 W.C.F. (32-20). Manufactured 1917. Blued metal finish, with black, hard rubber checkered grips with Rampant Colt. 4 3/4" barrel, with open iron sights. V-notched frame. Two line Colt address on top of barrel. Caliber on left side of barrel. 'VP' proof along with "1"on left triggerguard. Patent dates, and rampant Colt on left frame. Serial numbers match on frame, triggerguard, and backstrap. Numbers, and markings are clear. Assembly number is clear on the loading gate. (104). Cylinder chambers appear excellent. Bore appears very good/bright with strong rifling. Original blued finish is about 75%, with minor scratches, muzzle/edge wear, handling wear on the barrel triggerguard, and straps. Correct ejector, and cylinder pin for this model. Grips are sound but worn smooth. Action is crisp/tight. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.

'Range Model' Vintage single-shot falling-block rifle chambered in .38-55 Winchester, manufactured in Chicopee Falls, MA circa 1896-1916. Features a blued 25" No. 1 weight half-octagon barrel, beach front sight, blank inserted in the rear sight dovetail, Lyman adjustable dual-aperture tang sight, double set triggers, case hardened frame, curved lever, checkered hammer spur, smooth walnut forend with metal tip and straight grip shoulder stock with swiss style buttplate. The barrel retains approximately 65% of it's blued finish showing areas of heavy wear turning to patina and some light scattered dark surface rust. The receiver has turned to an even aged brown patina with trace amounts of case coloring in the protected areas. Action is crisp, bore is very good+ and wood stocks are very good showing an old crack/repair at the wrist. Condition is NRA Good to Very Good. ***C&R Firearm***

WW1 era Colt New Service revolver issued to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who used the New Service in 455 Webley and 45 Colt through much of the early 20th century, including into the 1940s. Manufactured 1915. Blade front and notch rear sights, the two-line Hartford address and patent dates on top of the barrel, "NEW SERVICE .455 Eley" on the left side of the barrel, "VP" and "3" on the left side of the trigger guard and the Rampant Colt on the side plate. The knurled hammer, cylinder catch and smooth trigger are finished in a dark royal blue, "rampant Colt" on left frame. Fitted with a lanyard swivel. Also stamped on the left frame is Canadian proofs, the broad arrow, "V5F" under crown. crossed flags, etc. "RCMP" is stamped on the frame beneath the cylinder. 5.5" barrel. blue finish, smooth wood grips, fixed sights. Bore is good, bright, with some light scattered pitting, grips are very good, action is crisp/tight, blue is about 40% with handling loss, scratches, holster wear. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.

Lowered version of the popular CFD15 This holster drops the gun down to the lowest lever allowed by the sport. It has the same cant the CFD15 has then it has been dressed up with an elongated piece of silver concho by Coast Silversmith. Comes with a 6 loop cartridge holder for .38/.357. Very good condition, inside of holster scuffed from use.

This is an early model with a 6" pinned barrel, a pinned Patridge front sight, a K target frame, floating firing pin, with flat faced hammer, Circassian walnut grips with silver S&W medallions. It has a serrated trigger, & straps, knurled hammer spur, fluted cylinder, and a non-shrouded extractor rod. Numbers match. Re-bled finish is excellent, cylinder is plum colored, marking are a little shallow due to refinish, grips are very good, action is smooth, bore is excellent/bright. Often called a "No. 4", this one is clearly stamped "MODEL 4" on the left side of the receiver. Features blued barrel and small parts, case hardened receiver, 22.5" barrel with dovetailed front blade and adjustable rear sights, smooth walnut forend & straight wristed shoulder stock, smooth metal buttplate marked "UMC". Bore is very good condition. Metal retains 90% blued finish, beginning to drift towards a plum tone, showing bare metal on breech block, near muzzle. Case colors are good on receiver, showing various colors, a bit muted. Wood is very good, varnished, with handling marks. Markings are sharp edged. Action is crisp. Bore is bright/good with a couple of areas of very light pitting, good rifling. Charge holes are good condition, visible residue from firing. Retains 10% dark blue finish at the top of the back strap, the rest is in the white. The cylinder pin is barrel length, knurled, we believe custom, it looks period done, looks great. Grips are fair condition, showing smoothing, scratches/dents. Numbers on triggerguard and back strap. Two line barrel address and patent markings are readable. Action is crisp, good lock-up. Features parkerized finish, wood stock & hand guards, 24" barrel, adjustable sights with protected front blade & protected rear peep, fixed magazine for en-bloc clip, manual safety. Rear sights and triggerguard are later style. Bore is very good condition. Metal parts retain 95% medium gray finish, some variations in color on various parts, receiver has slightly greenish tint. Shows edge losses & handling marks. Wood is very good, good color match among the stock and handguards, appears to be all walnut. Observed trigger group parts are "SA" marked, op rod is "SA", barrel is "SA 6535448 3 65 Y77", large "P" & "M" and DoD acceptance eagle marked. Markings are crisp. Stock cartouches not observed, other than rework stamp "SA JLC" (appears later deepened). Includes 1950's era green cotton web sling, oiler & combo tool in butt trap. Features, mother of pearl grips, re-barreled with a 4" In Lead We Trust threaded barrel marked ".32 ACP" (chambers .380), fixed sights, manual safety, grip safety, heel magazine release. Bore is excellent/bright. Blue re-finish is fair, with edge wear, minor scratches, and some finish loss on the left slide.. Standard Colt markings are shallow from the re-finish, scattered light pitting visible under the blue. Grips are fair with 3 small chips out of the right panel. Includes the original Colt factory barrel, (1) good condition Colt marked .32 ACP magazine. Comes in a nice dark wood form fitted yellow lined display case with printed label. This is a beautiful 17 1/2" x 14 1/2" framed color print of Houston in Uniform, below is his signature, clipped in his characteristic florid style. Excellent Condition. Also included is a vintage Carte De Visite of Houston as Senator in 1861, sitting with cane, & hat in hands by American photographer Charles DeForest Fredricks, (1823-1894), marked on back. Framed. Excellent condition.

'First Generation' Antique revolver manufactured circa 1898. Features blued finish, case hardened frame, 7.5" barrel, smooth two piece bone grips. Bore is bright & shiny, very good condition. Frame shows loss of case color, appears cleaned, now a dull silver color with traces of original colors around screw holes, scattered tiny pits visible under magnification. Blued surfaces retain 75% coverage of a faded or gray toned finish, 20% to 30% original color, some bare metal, edge losses, drag line. Screw slots are mostly good with very little marring. Markings are crisp, Rampant Colt not present, numbers match where observed. Grips are very good, show mellowing and darkening of the off-white color, cracks show as dark lines, very good fit to metal. Action is smooth and tight, all four clicks sound & feel solid. Includes a vintage belt holster, western drop loop styled, black leather in good condition. Condition is NRA Fine *** Antique Firearm ***

Features 26" round barrel, full length magazine tube, dovetailed blade front sight, sporting rear sight, smooth walnut forend & straight wristed buttstock, steel crescent buttplate. Bore is fair condition, lightly pitted throughout, grayish color with strong rifling. Barrel and mag tube retain 60% bluing, mostly showing a dark finish color, fading to brown in many places, with areas of light patina, small bare spots, edge losses. Receiver is a dull silvery gray color, speckles of patina brown, with several deep scratches running along length of receiver sides. Buttplate is mottled brown patina color. Wood is good or better condition, shows oil staining in wrist area, loss or shrinkage at toe. A thin varnish was applies to wood at some point, now showing losses from handling.
