1/2 horse, 1/2 alligator pommel bowie knife marked THOS. SHORT SHEFFIELD with "GOLD SEEKERS PROTECTOR" etched on blade surrounded by scrolls. With 9" blade and measures 13.5" overall. Blade is full dimension with some scratches normal aging and minor use. Cow horn scales and good to very good 7-8 overall on 1-10 scale. Embossed Moroccan leather scabbard with German Silver mounts is the original and 8 to 9 on 1-10 condition scale. A desirable combination of California marking and half horse coffin shaped pommel, circa 1850.

by Veryl Goodnight signed in bronzer Artist Proof NO#2. Depicting Elk measures 29X17"X19". Entitled "Spirit of Autumn". Veryl Goodnight began her career as a wildlife artist in the 1970s as a painter, but she found she enjoyed sculpting, and within five years, was sculpting exclusively. Later she took up painting again. Of her work she says: "The horse is my favorite subject. I live with them, ride them, feed them and clean up after them."She only works with live models in order to capture the true essence of the animal she is depicting. In 1998, Veryl Goodnight completed a monumental bronze sculpture depicting five horses crashing through the rubble of the collapsed Berlin Wall. Titled The Day the Wall Came Down, the work includes pieces of the Wall, and weighs 14,000 pounds. It is located at the George Bush Presidential Library. The artist's monumental works are found at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Heritage Center in Oklahoma City, the Old West Museum in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Brookgreen Gardens in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Features 17.5" round barrel, full length magazine tube, L-flip front sight (choose from thick post, or narrow post inside ring), semi-buckhorn sporting rear sight, straight grip, curved steel carbine buttplate. Bore is very good condition. Barrel and magazine tube retain 80% deep blued finish, the remainder shows thinning and fading, some color change to gray. Slight edge losses. Action retains very good case color, with much mottled bright blue color throughout, some light patina, several scratches. Buttplate is blued, very good condition overall. Wood is very good condition walnut, varnished, small dents & gouges in many places, no Marlin "bull's eye". Some sticky residue on butt. Action is smooth. Winchester 1886 Deluxe .45-90 SN: 75865

This deluxe Special order variation of the Winchester Model 1886 rifle is chambered in the very desirable 45-90, it was manufactured in 1893. 26" octagon barrel . The rifle is fitted with a special order dovetailed folding Beech combination front sight. Buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight, and a Lyman No. 1 folding tang peep sight. The top barrel flat has the two-line Winchester address ahead of the rear sight and "45-90 W.C.F." at the breech. The lower tang has the two-line patent dates marking and the serial number. The deluxe "XX" walnut forearm and pistol grip stock feature "H" style checkering. The pistol grip stock features an ebony grip insert and is fitted with a smooth steel crescent buttplate. Special order single-set trigger. Full length magazine. Bore is near excellent/bright with a couple of small patches of very light pitting. Action is crisp/smooth, the highly figured stocks are very good, with minor scratches/dings, original blue finished barrel, & magazine has dulled somewhat, but is mostly all there, about 95% with some thinning on the magazine, slight edge/muzzle wear. Nice nitre blue on the loading gate, and the blue on the bolt is all there. The case colored receiver, hammer, lever, buttplate, & fore cap are mostly in the white, with traces remaining, mostly on the receiver. All markings are crisp/clear. NRA Condition-Excellent. Antique Firearm.

Revolver exhibits approximately 75% of it's original blued finish showing holster wear , scratches. Action is smooth with good lock-up, the bore is very good/bright, and wood grips are overall; very good with a small chip on the bottom right panel. Matching serial numbers. Vintage lever action rifle chambered for .44 Winchester Center Fire (44-40) ammunition circa 1892, first year of manufacture. Low four digit serial number. It has a 24" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, blade/white bead front sight, adjustable rear buckhorn sporting sight, smooth trigger and knurled hammer spur. Two piece smooth wood stocks have a metal forend cap and a crescent metal butt plate. Blue has somewhat faded, about 65% with scratches/rubs, handling loss, mostly on the underside of the receiver, & lever, the buttplate is in the white, wood is very good with minor scratches/dings, action is crisp/tight, bore is excellent/bright. Markings are crisp/clear. A fantastic conditioned 1892 for first year of production. Comes with Winchester factory letter from the Cody Firearms Museum confirming the caliber, and octagon barrel. Received in warehouse December 30, 1892, Shipped August 19, 1893. NRA Condition-.Fine as Antique Firearm.

A semi-automatic version of the Model 50 Submachine Gun, the Model 60 was produced in limited quantities (approximately 3,248) between 1944 and 1946 for Police Use. Blade front and elevation adjustable peep rear sights, the 3-line model and address markings atop the receiver, and the "SAFE S.A." selector markings on the right side. Smooth pistol grip stock with a ribbed steel buttplate. Barrel marked "PH". !8" barrel, parkerized finish, blowback action from a closed bolt position. Charged via a port in the underside of the forearm. One piece walnut stock, sling swivels, steel buttplate. Bore is excellent/bright, action is smooth/tight, wood is very good+ with minor scratches, finish is about 97% with some minor scratches/rubs. These carbines rarely come up for sale, especially in this condition. Comes with (4) original H&R Reising M50 submachine gun 20-rd magazines, two blued, & 2 parkerized. Winchester special order Model 1886 Lightweight rifle manufactured in 1908. The rifle has a 24 inch round barrel, 3/4 magazine and straight wrist stock with crescent steel, buttplate. The stock and forearm are smooth varnished walnut. The barrel has a special order Lyman "Hunting" front sight with ivory bead and a sporting rear sight with screw-adjustable insert. Saddle ring. The left side of the barrel is roll-stamped with the two-line legend "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A.PAT.OCT. 14.1884. JAN.20.1885." in two lines ahead of the rear sight. "- NICKEL STEEL BARREL-/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" is stamped in two lines on the left side of the barrel below the rear sight and the caliber designation "33 W.C.F." is stamped on the left side of the barrel ahead of the receiver. Oval "W/P" proofmark are stamped on the top of the barrel above the breech The upper receiver tang is roll-stamped "MODEL 1886". The lower tang is stamped with the 1884 and 1885 patent dates behind the trigger along with the serial number. The bore is excellent bright, the buttplate has traces of case color, the action is smooth/tight, the stocks are very good with some minor scratches/dings. The original blue finish is about 75% with handling loss, edge wear, mostly on the receiver, and lever. The left side of the lever has a few small areas of pitting. All markings are crisp/clear. NRA Condition-Near Very Good. C&R Firearm.
