Walther PPK/RZM 7.65mm 804410

Lot # 295 (Sale Order: 402 of 644)      

Pistol. Semi-Automatic. 7 Rd Magazine. Straight blow-back action. "RZM" Third Reich era Pistol. This pre-war pistol was only available between 1934 and 1936. The RZM pistols were presented to Nazi party leaders during the late 30's. Correct pre-war Crown/N proofs on right frame and barrel. Left slide stamped with Walther address, "Zella Mehlis" Patent, caliber in two lines, followed by "Mod. PPK. "RZM in a circle is next to that. Serial number matched on slide and frame. 3.3" barrel. Ring hammer. Early 90 degree safety. Bore appears very good/bright but has some cosmoline in it. Chamber and mag also have cosmoline. Will clean up. Pistol has been re-blued at some point. Some pitting on the left slide that has been blued over. Blued finish is about 97% with edge wear/scratches. Brown plastic checkered "Walther" grips are good with a small crack at the bottom of the right panel. Mismatched magazine "267141", has a chip out of it on the left Brown plastic finger extension. Magazine stamped with "Walther" banner. NRA Condition-Very Good/Re-Blued. C&R Firearm.

'Original Series' WWII era Japanese military striker fired semi-automatic service pistol chambered in 8mm Nambu. Features a blued finish, 4.6" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'v' front sight, fixed square notch rear sight, rounded trigger, large trigger guard, knurled grooved cocking piece, manual safety on the left side of the frame, magazine disconnect safety, push button magazine release, 8 round magazine with aluminum base plug, steel frame with lanyard loop on the rear and grooved wood grips. No import marks observed. Bore is very good condition. Retains 85% finish, with edge losses, a few small areas of pinprick patina, bright drag line on the frame from the safety lever. Bare metal bolt is very good condition. Trigger and safety show good straw color. Grips are very good condition with scratches. Markings are clear and readable. Includes (1) very good condition magazine (numbered "891" under punch mark). Condition is NRA Very Good+ *** C&R Firearm ***

Blued finish is about 40% with blue remaining on the barrel/magazine. Receiver, lever, barrel bands, and buttplate are in the white, with pitting. Wood is ok with scratches/dings. BIO- Fred Fellows had early exposure to ranching and Otoe and Osage Indian reservations. As an artist, he is self-taught, and earned membership (and in 1997 presidency) of the Cowboy Artists of America. Fred Fellows grew up in California where he worked as a cowboy and apprenticed for four years to a saddle maker. Later attended Art Center School in Los Angeles and began a successful career in the aircraft industry. In 1964, he moved his family to Big Fork, Montana to devote himself to painting, while also spending his spare time roping for the big Montana cow outfits.

American made 6 shot revolver chambered for .38 Spl circa 1960's. It has a blued finish with checkered wood grips sporting the sliver Colt medallions. It has a raised ramp, pinned, front sight with adjustable "target" rear sights. Serrated trigger and knurled hammer spur. The gun shows signs of wear and handling at the muzzle with a visible drag line on the cylinder and minor surface rust on the hammer spur. The wood grips are fine but the checkering is smooth from handling. The bore looks bright. Condition is NRA Good++
