Safety lever on right receiver. Blued metal finish. Laminated wood fore grip, and handguard. laminated "Thumbhole" stock, with black rubber recoil pad. Action is smooth/tight. Features a blued finish with niter blued small parts, 6" barrel, round blade front sight, 'u' notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted swing-out six shot cylinder, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur and two-piece checkered black hard rubber grips with "COLT" & Rampant Colt decor. Includes a factory maroon cardboard box for a 6" .38 Official Police. Revolver exhibits approximately 70% of it's original blued finish showing edge wear, thinning, scattered losses and some specks of light scattered rust. Action is stiff with solid lock-up, the bore appears pristine, markings are sharp and the hard rubber grips are fine with the assembly number carved into the back of both panels. Some carbon build-up on the front of cylinder. Electro-penciled number above the model # inside of frame. Grips are very good. The famous "Trapdoor" (Hinged breechblock) .51 3/4" overall length, with a 32.625" barrel. Lock plate marked "U.S. Springfield" with Eagle. Breechblock- US MODEL 1884. US marked butt pate. VP Eagle proof on barrel. P proof behind triggerguard. Inspectors cartouche present on left comb. (Unreadable) Cleaning rod present. Early Model 1879 rear sight. Blued metal finish, one-piece walnut stock. Hammer action is crisp/tight. Breech locks-up tight. Bore is ok, but has some pitting about midway. Stock is good, with numerous small dents/dings, and scratches. Nothing serious. Blued finish is dull/fading at about 60%., turning a brown patina. NRA Condition-Very good. Antique Firearm.

Colt Single Action Army .45 LC SN: 231622

Lot # 124 (Sale Order: 131 of 867)      

with a 5 ½” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, and rubber grips, S/N 231622 and made in 1902. Carried and used by Arizona lawman Orlando C. Williams of Holbrook, AZ in Navajo County. This revolver remains in good to very good condition showing 50%-70% original blue and toning case colors. Some wear to grips from being carried along while in a holster. Good markings, tight action and shiny bore. Orlando Williams began his career in the early 1920s serving as deputy U.S. Marshal for N.E. Arizona a position he held for 7 years. He was V.P. of International Peace Officers Association and one of Arizona’s first fingerprint experts. His most famous cases included 2 robbers in Winslow, AZ (Jack Russell and Charles Baker). Charles Baker was known as Arizona’s #1 kingpin of bootlegging. O.C. William’s career was long and interesting and he is buried in Mesa City Cemetery in Arizona. This and several other arms descended in William’s family until, obtained by us from his descendants. This Colt SAA has never before offered on the public auction block. Also Williams was purportedly recruited for a posse to capture John Dillinger in Mexico which was a “No Record Mission” across international borders that was “Questionable” in its legality. Extremely Fine Early 1900's. This Antique Yavapai Indian Basket is a wonderful collectible. A mountain and cross pattern is fashioned in devils claw over a willow rod foundation with an alternating rectangle and star center. It's about 14"wide and about 3-1/4" tall and circa 1910's. It is tightly woven with a beautiful patina and is in very good condition.

The serial numbers match on the frame and barrel with both sets of numbers lined out. The butt is marked "N669" and the barrel has been stamped "669". Marked "DRP" for DEUTCHES REICHS POST. Bore is bright with strong crisp rifling. Bluing is uniform, dark and even, just beginning to turn brown on the bands and very few signs of wear. Wood has some small dents around the butt and clear cartouche marking for DRP. All observed numbers match and all stampings are sharp. Not import marked. Colt 2nd Model Dragoon .44 Cal SN: 8109

Early "U.S." marked single action percussion revolver chambered for .44 caliber ammunition, manufactured circa 1850(first year production). Colt Second Model Dragoons are significantly scarcer than the First and Third Models with the approximate production numbers as follows: 2,700 2nd Mdl, 7,000 1st Mdl & 10,500 3rd Model. This revolver features a 7 1/2" part octagon barrel, German silver blade front sight, 'v' notch rear sight cut into the hammer, loading lever with vertical style latch, non-fluted six-shot cylinder with rectangular stops & no observed scene, smooth trigger, non-roller bearing hammer with smooth spur, plated brass backstrap & square back trigger guard, and one-piece smooth walnut grip. The barrel is stamped "-ADRESS SAMl COLT NEW-YORK CITY" on the top reading towards the cylinder and the frame reads "COLT'S/ ATENT/U S." The serial number 8109 is found on the frame, triggerguard, backstrap & cylinder pin, while the the partial number 109 is found on the loading lever and cylinder. Other observed markings are "G" on the triggerguard below the serial number and "9" on the loading lever latch. Revolver appear to have been heavily cleaned at some point with the majority of the iron surfaces displaying a smooth light grey patina with some mottled brown tones. The brass grip frame appear to have been replated with approximately 70% intact. The barrel wedge and loading lever catch are modern replacements. The action is slightly out of time but otherwise in functional, the bore shows strong rifling with some scattered pin prick pitting, markings are mostly legible and the wood grip is very good with worn edges at the butt. Condition is NRA Good. ***Antique Firearm***

The brass grip frame appear to have been replated with approximately 70% intact. The barrel wedge and loading lever catch are modern replacements. The action is slightly out of time but otherwise in functional, the bore shows strong rifling with some scattered pin prick pitting, markings are mostly legible and the wood grip is very good with worn edges at the butt. 20th Century 11” Length. Antique Yavapai Indian Oval. At the turn of the 19th to 20th century, these would have been in every Native household and primarily made for use. Using natural grasses, the unknown artisan created connected checkerboard patterns that usually symbolize rain. Woven with devil's claw and willow on a sturdy rod foundation, it's about 11" long, 8-3/4" wide and 4" tall. It has a beautiful patina and no apparent stitch loss, circa 1910's.

Double triggers. Etched receiver, triggerguard, hammers, and tang. Smooth wood forearm. Checkered, pistol-grip stock, with black plastic butt plate. Stag design on butt plate. Brass shield on underside of lower stock. hammer action is tight. Barrels lock-up tight. Bores are ok, but dirty. Wood is good, but worn. there is a slight crack to the rear of the left lock.
