(2) Pieces hand painted Devon Ware plaques. (1) Yarn figure of woman in apron marked New Orleans. She is also a bell, but the striker is missing. (1) Child in Sunday best, carrying Holy Bible. (1) Baby in red polka dot dress, with New Orleans ribbon. The arm is out of joint but the piece is otherwise in good condition. (1) Baby in blue dress, with stand. (1) Figurine of alligator biting man. (1) Handpainted figurine of child eating a watermelon. The watermelon is a dish and could be used for an ashtray. (1) Heavy figurine of child eating watermelon. Watermelon is concave and could be used for storage. (1) "Mammy" pepper shaker. Marked "Hampton Beach N.H." (1) Bobble head of child in straw hat. The child is resting against an alligator, which is marked New Orleans on the tail.

US Krag 1900 "Bowie" Bayonet

Lot # 390 (Sale Order: 573 of 848)      

Very rare piece, According to Paul Kiesling’s Bayonet’s of the World, a total of 2,800 of these combination bayonet / entrenching tools were produced at Springfield Armory in 1900, with 1,500 sent to the Philippines and 500 sent to Cuba for field testing. Most other sources place production at only 2,000 units – all manufactured in 1900. The blade is marked "1900" one side, and "US" on the other. There is some mottling of the metal, and small scratching on the wood. The metal scabbard is also included, dark patina, with some mottling and pitting. The knife is approx 13-1/2" overall with 9" blade. The scabbard is approx 10" long, 15" long with belt loop and swivel.
