Oil on Canvas by Bill Freeman

Lot # 256 (Sale Order: 377 of 848)

Depicting mountain lion. Signed lower left. Image size 19-1/2" wide x 15-1/2" high. Framed 27-1/2" wide x 23-1/2" high. Though the son of two artist parents, Bill did not set out to be a full time artist. The lure of the open range attracted him to be a cowboy, a life he enjoyed for twelve years. As a full time, professional artist, now, Bill paints and sculpts the things he knows best and loves most. He has seen the West as few people have, from a cowboys life to big game hunts, and his canvases and bronzes reflect the honesty and respect he feels for this time and place. His work is included in many publications, among them "The Cowboy in Art", "Contemporary Western Artists", "Western Painting Today", and "Outdoor Arizona".

Tommy Singer Watch Band with Timex Watch

Lot # 265a (Sale Order: 390 of 848)

Sterling silver band with turquoise and coral inlay. Thomas Singer, a regarded silversmith, is known throughout the world for his jewelry work. His overlay pieces incorporate the most traditional of Navajo design-designs that have endured through the years. Mr. Singer became famous in the 60's for inventing the use of turquoise chips and coral chips in silver work. This method of design is referred to as "chip inlay". So successful was the invention, that many Navajo craftsmen copy the method. One can easily recognize Thomas' work. He marks his finished pieces with "T Singer", "Thomas Singer" or with "T" and a crescent moon.
