Small Silver Mounted Gentleman's Knife

Lot # 295 (Sale Order: 433 of 848)      

A very high quality with blade stamped "Thorn". The knife measures 7-1/4" overall with 3-1/2" blade. The grip scales are of darkened horn, nicely inlaid, with the initials AB surmounted by a 5 pointed crown. The scabbard is also silver mounted with matching AB and crown on throat. There are hallmarks on the silver pieces and the knife is in good to very good overall condition. We would date this knife to the1870's and is similar in style to a Scottish stocking dagger.

Lovely Pettipoint Pin/Pendant by Larry Moses Begay

Lot of (2) Carbine Boots and (1) Socket.

Lot # 306 (Sale Order: 450 of 848)      

(1) Carbine Boot. Circa 1881. Black leather construction, stamped "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL". Shows age with cracking to leather and corrosion to metal components. Approx 11" overall. (1) Indian War Era Carbine Boot. Circa 1880's. Black leather construction with brass throat. This boot was most likely used with the .45-70 Trapdoor Carbine and later for the .30-40 Krag Carbine. No visible markings. Shows age. (1) Unissued Civil War Carbine Socket. This socket was attached to the saddle and the trooper would put the barrel of his carbine through the socket while the carbine was attached to the Carbine Sling hung over the troopers shoulder and down by his side. The socket kept the carbine from swinging wildly while riding. Black leather stamped "O PETERS". With cracking of leather strap and dings on metal buckle. Approx 2-1/2" long x 2-1/2" diameter.
