Revolver exhibits a small amount of bright handling marks/superficial scratches, a drag line on the cylinder, and minor edge wear. U.S.A.-", full-length magazine tube, dovetailed blade front sight with bead top, semi-buckhorn adjustable rear sporting sight, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur, smooth walnut forend with metal cap and straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. Rifle exhibits strong bluing on the magazine ring, spring cover plate on the right side of the receiver & bolt with the rest of the metal surfaces in-the-white bearing a light amount of pin prick pitting & some traces of bluing. A painter of cowboy and Indian and other western subjects, he was born and raised in Maine, was in Korea with the Army in the late 1960s, and then studied painting for two years at the Art Institute of Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the Portland Maine School of Art. Following a career in commercial art in Wisconsin and South Dakota, he began painting in his spare time and decided to paint only the West. His first painting sold to actress Melanie Griffith. In 1993, he created the commemorative print for the 75th anniversary of the Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede.

Revolver exhibits approximately 93% of its blued refinish showing edge wear and scattered handling marks with the frame, cylinder & grip frame turned plum. SN: 296266 Vintage small frame double action revolver chambered in .32 Smith & Wesson Long, manufactured circa 1917-1942. Features a blued finish, pinned 6" barrel, forged round blade front sight, 'u' notched rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, smooth .235" trigger, .235" hammer with knurled spur, five screw round butt I frame and two-piece diamond checkered walnut grips with brass S&W medallions & "PAT. JUNE 5. 1917" patent date stamped into the butt of the left panel. Revolver exhibits approximately 40% of it's original finish with the majority of the bluing retained on the barrel(shows some pin prick pitting & surface rust towards the muzzle) while the frame & cylinder display a browned patina with scattered splotches of blued finish. Action is smooth with good lock-up, the bore is mirror bright with some scattered rust & pitting and the matching wood grips are good with some imperfections. Condition is NRA Good. ***C&R Firearm***

Mauser C96 'Red Nine' 9mm SN: 58121

'Model 1915' Imperial German Army contract single action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm, manufactured circa 1915-1918. Though their standard sidearm was the P.08, during WWI the Imperial German Army ordered 150,000 C96 pistols chambered in 9mm Parabellum to offset the slow production of the Luger pistol. Features a blued finish, 5.5" barrel, blade front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 500 meters, smooth trigger, small ring hammer, manual safety on the rear of the grip frame, integral 10 round box magazine, steel frame with lanyard loop on the butt, and two-piece 27-groove walnut grips with red painted "9"s branded into each panel. Includes a wooden holster, shoulder stock which bears the number "210" on the upper tang and shows a repair to the to lid. Serial numbers on the pistol are all matching with the exception of the floorplate. Pistol exhibits approximately 80% of it's blued finish showing honest wear/thinning. Action is crisp, the bore shows light pitting throughout and the matching wood grips are very good. Condition is NRA Very Good. ***C&R Firearm***

Features a black finish, 24.8" quick detach barrel with integral conical flash hider, adjustable gas system & left side mounted shrouded front sight, elevation adjustable aperture rear sight with dial adjustment to 2,000 yards, carry handle that doubles as a forward grip, folding adjustable bipod, smooth magazine, three-position selector on the left side of the receiver, folding charging handle, detachable 30 round box magazine, sliding dust cover, green canvas sling, smooth wood pistol grip and walnut shoulder stock with metal buttplate. Includes an adjustable tripod, wood transit case, six spare magazines, two spare barrels, a blank firing barrel, pan magazine, anti-aircraft sight, loading tool, cleaning rod, two spare pistons, misc small parts and a spare barrel/holdall canvas bag with an additional spare barrel, spare parts kit, combination tool & other accessories. Co. of Santa Ana, California with the import information incorporated into a 'barrel address' type marking. Features a blued & case hardened finish, 7 1/2" barrel, blade front sight, square notched rear sight, smooth wide trigger, knurled hammer spur, fluted six-shot cylinder, ejector rod with webbed housing, and two-piece vanished wood grips. Revolver exhibits approximately 98% of it's original blued finish showing drag marks on the cylinder, a few handling marks and some muted case colors. Features a blued finish, 5.5" barrel, blade front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 1,000 meters, smooth trigger, small ring hammer, manual safety on the rear of the grip frame with a hole through the knob, integral 10 round box magazine, steel frame with bright lanyard ring, and two-piece 33-groove walnut grips. All observed serial numbers match including the grips. Includes a wood stock/holster that bears the number "22296" on the upper tang and shows two repaired cracks on the bottom. Pistol exhibits approximately 60% of it's old professionally reblued finish showing honest wear and thinning with a very small amount of old pin prick pitting on the barrel. Action is crisp, the bore shows good luster & rifling with some scattered pitting, and the refinished wood grips are very good. Condition is near NRA Very Good as refinished. ***C&R Firearm***

Born and raised in Nebraska, Martha Pettigrew is a sculptor of Indian figures and animals. She has a B.F.A. degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and several years experience as a scientific illustrator for the Nebraska State Museum. In 1978, she married Delmar Pettigrew and set aside her art career to raise thoroughbred horses with him. After twelve years, they lost their business but recouped with the success of her resumed art career--as a sculptor. She studied in Colorado with Fritz White and read books on Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi, and Francisco Zuniga. Many of her subjects depict Plains and Southwest Indians, an interest stemming from her exposure at the State Museum. -askART
