Robert Redbird, Sr. was raised in Dallas, Texas, and later settling in Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Redbird, Sr. is a painter who uses stories, many of them learned from his grandfather, of his Kiowa culture, as the subjects for his artwork. He also works as a welder, auto mechanic and auto-body painter, gospel singer and Pentecostal minister. His mediums include oil, acrylic, pen and ink, gouache and pencil, and his commission work includes painting and sculpture for the Anadarko High School in Anadarko, Oklahoma; and a poster for the U.S. Open Polo Games in Palm Springs, California.

German made striker fired semi-automatic compact pistol chambered in 7.65mm, manufactured circa 1914-1934. Features a blued finish, 3.5" barrel, round blade front sight, dovetailed rear sight with 'u' notch, smooth trigger, cocked indicator, thumb safety on the left side of the frame with a push button release, heel magazine release, 8 round magazine, steel frame and one-piece checkered walnut wrap-around grip. Serial numbers match on the frame, slide barrel and side plate. Pistol exhibits approximately 93% of it's original blued finish showing edge wear, some areas of thinning and a very small amount of emerging surface rust observed on the bottom of the trigger guard. Action is very smooth, the bore is excellent and the wood grip is good with a small hairline crack on the right side above the magazine release. Condition is NRA Fine. ***C&R Firearm***

Sporterized Brazilian contract bolt action mauser rifle, produced in Germany by DWM circa 1908-1914. Imported by C.A.I. of St. Albans, V.T. with import marks on the barrel. Features a blued 29.25" barrel, raised inverted 'v' front sight, removed rear sight, Pentax Pioneer 3-9x scope on two piece base, milled nose cap with bayonet lug, barrel band with sling swivel, polished bolt with turned-down handle, internal 5 round box magazine, smooth trigger, ventilated smooth wood handguard and full-length semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with smooth metal buttplate. The rifle exhibits strong bluing on the barrel, floorplate & bottom metal with the remainder of the metal surfaces displaying a mottled aged grey patina. Action is sound, the bore appears very good but dirty and the refinished wood stock is very good. Condition is NRA Good+ as sporterized. ***C&R Firearm***

"The Fight in the Stables" signed lower left. Image measures 19 1/2" x 29 1/2" in suede and gold insets and a carved wood frame with brass title plate.. Gerald "Gerry" Patrick McCann was born in Queens, New York.McCann graduated from high school in 1934 and moved on to attend Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, studying under Monte Crews, Nick Riley, John Fleming Gould and H. Winfield. McCann switched areas of focuses between art and engineering. In 1939, for pulp magazines, McCann began drawing pen and ink story illustrations. His work appeared in Ace Sports, Thrilling Sports, Sports Story, Western Story and Wild West Weekly. "" Three months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, McCann enlisted in the Army. He attended basic training at Camp Upton in Yaphank, NY. Living on Long Island,. He studied with Harold Von Schmidt and heard lectures by Harvey Dunn when he continued his training at the Art Students League of New York. McCann joined the art community surrounding Harold Von Schmidt and the Famous Artists School in Westport, CT, where he taught courses in composition and landscape when he moved to Madison, Connecticut in 1959.
