Third Reich Hitler Youth Knife

Lot # 601 (Sale Order: 1 of 690)      

Early example with the motto maker marked blade . 5.5" blade. Nickeled steel, HJ diamond in right grip. Blade etched " Blut und Ehre" (Blood and Honor), reverse stamped "J.A, Henckels. Solingen, Zwillingswerk" below two intertwined stick figures motto, below id stamped "Ges. Geschutzt". Black painted scabbard is about 60% with paint scuffed of, mostly to the front, leather is good/intact.. Overall good condition. The early ones with the motto are getting scarce. the motto is a little worn but readable. the pommel/crossguard are very good, blade has some dark patches of very light pin-prick pitting.

Features nickel finish, 7.5" barrel with one-line address, blade front sight, u notched rear sight, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, fluted swing out six-shot cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, large square butt frame with lanyard loop, and two-piece checkered black (Left panel turned brown from oxidation/handling) hard rubber "COLT" grips. "New Service Cal. .44 on left barrel. Serial number matched inside frame and crane, no other markings observed, markings are feint but readable. Bore is bright with rifling, scattered areas of light pitting. Nickel finish has turned a brown patina with traces of nickel with almost all covered id scattered pin-prick pitting. Grips are sound with slight wear to the checkering. Hammer action is smooth but cylinder spins freely, locks up when hammer is engaged. Old tag that came with revolver states it was shipped to N.Y.C. on 2-1-1899. Condition is NRA Fair. C&R Firearm.

Features blued finish, checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt, "Colt" motifs, 6" barrel, half moon blade front sight, u notch fixed rear sight, 6 shot fluted cylinder. Bore is excellent/bright, strong rifling. Retains about 70% original blue with holster/handling wear, handling wear on the straps, scratches and some minor patches of patina. Trigger still has most of its bright nitre blue finish, the sides of the hammer are polished. Grips are very good condition, sound, no cracks or chips observed, turned brown from oxidation /handling. Assembly number "497" observed at cylinder latch, in frame, on crane. Action is smooth and lock up is tight. Circled, small "Rampant Colt" on left frame, two line address/patent date on barrel. Markings are crisp/readable. A very nice conditioned revolver for its age. Condition is NRA Good++. C&R Firearm.

Vintage double action six-shot revolver chambered in .32 Police, manufactured circa 1919. Features blued finish, vintage stag grips, fixed sights, 6" barrel, 6 shot swing-out cylinder, checkered hammer spur, smooth trigger, fires in double or single action mode. Bore is overall good/bright, bright with rifling, some very light scattered pitting. Retains about 30% coverage of original blue finish, with handling wear, scratches and areas of pitting on the frame, near the muzzle, cylinder and back strap.. All markings are crisp. Grips are overall good with two small chips out of both panels at the heel. Action is smooth and lock-up is tight. Comes in a fancy holster/cartridge belt rig. The Silver Buckle Engraved with “ARIZONA BILL”, AND “HIGH CUP NICK”. The 9.25" tall holster with silver initial badge of “MA”. The loops to the belt are for .22 cartridges. Belt and holster are polished patent leather finish inside a purple suede fringed lining, Small sharks tooth with silver casing attached to the holsters flap loop. The hallmarks on the buckle dates it to 1911. We could find no reference to the names on the buckle. The revolvers caliber does not match the belt loops.NRA Condition-Fair to Good. C&R Firearm

Single shot, break top target pistol. Introduced in 1913, these pistols were later assembled by The Marlin Firearms Corporation beginning in 1922. 10" round barrel, adjustable notch rear sight and pinned blade/bead front sight marked "Lyman" barrel marked with the one line Norwich address. Blued finish, auto extractor, barrel is released by depressing the two knurled button under the rear sight. Matching serial number on barrel underside, bottom of the monoblock and front grip strap. Fitted with varnished walnut grips with brass Hopkins and Allen monogram inserts at the tops. Bore is rough/pitted, grips are very good, action is smooth and the blue finish is about 60% with thinning from handling wear. Markings are clear/readable.NRA Condition-Fair to good/Bore. Features blued finish, Plum colored safety lever, one piece wrap-around checkered black plastic grip, double action trigger, fixed low profile sights, slide mounted decocking safety, heel magazine catch. Bore is excellent/bright. Retains 98% finish with minor edge losses/scratches. Grip is very good. Includes dark brown leather flap military/police holster, cleaning rod, one magazine with "51" electropenciled on the floorplate. "Germany" stamped on the right frame.Condition is NRA Very Good+. #W1782. German military Mauser bolt action rifle manufactured by DWM, Berlin for the Peru government circa 1891-1909. Features blued finish, wood stock & handguard, straight grip, steel buttplate, 29" barrel, military tangent sights, bayonet lug, cleaning rod under barrel, sling swivels, straight bolt handle, manual safety. Bore is good, strong rifling, light frosting in the grooves Bolt assembly and receiver have turned a brown patina the barrel and bottom have turned a gray/brown patina. "Republica Peruana" crest on chamber. (In 1901 Peru purchased the Mauser Modelo Argentino 1891 from DWM) Wood is sound with many dings/dents, some minor chips. Serial numbers on receiver and floorplate are mismatched. No import marks observed. NRA Condition-Good. C&R Firearm.

The "Springfield Sporter". Reginald F. Sedgley, a Philadelphia gunsmith who formed R.F. Sedgley, Inc. in 1916, a company that remained under his ownership until his death in 1938. Sedgley was known for buying pre-existing actions. This custom rifle was built on M1903 using the original stock. 22" tapered .30-06 barrel with highh blade front and semi-buckhorn rear sights. Blue finish with polished bolt, dog leg bolt handle, hinged floorplate. Stock forearm has been shortened, original fittings have been removed and plugged with wood, checkered diamond shaped panels on the wrist, Winchester recoil pad and sling studs installed. Stock is very good/sound with minor scratches, blue is about 90% with minor scratches, light patina on the lower barrel and handling wear to the floorplate, action is smooth and the bore is excellent/bright.NRA Condition-Near Excellent. C&R Firearm.
