Engraved Belgian Browning London Guns Custom Medallion Grade Bolt Action Rifle in .375 H&H

Manufactured circa 1970's in Belgium by FN for Browning as a standard Medallion grade Safari rifle using FN Supreme action. Gun was shipped to London Guns of Santa Monica California who further customized it for retail sale. Matching serials on the frame and barrel. Top of the barrel is marked "CAL. .375 H&H" and "LONDON GUNS-SANTA MONICA. CAL.". 24" barrel with ramped blade front sight. Four blade express style rear sight. Factory drilled on the receiver for a scope mount. Blued finish with medallion style engraving on the barrel and receiver. Trigger guard and floor plate are also engraved with a gold inlay elephant. Gold washed trigger. Finely figured wood stock with cross cut checkering on the wrist and forearm. Metal sling studs. Capped pistol grip with brown rubber "BROWNING" marked butt pad. LOP: 13-1/2". CONDITION: Good with about 75% finish remaining. Evidence of salt wood/surface rust under the stock and at the stock line. Wood has some finish wear and signs of drying throughout. Full vent rib with steel bead front sight. The frame has a coin finish with "MANUFACTURED SINCE 1903" and "FINAL TRIBUTE FOR NORTH AMERICA" in gold inlay on the right side of the frame. Left side has "PATENT NO 659507 FEBRUARY 8, 1900" and "LIMITED SERIES ONE OF ONE THOUSAND", all in gold inlay. The manufacturing plant and designer, John M. Browning, are highlighted on the left and right sides of the frame respectively. Fine scroll laser engraving and scenes of the Browning Brothers work shop are present as well. Gold washed trigger. Factory gloss finished wood stock with round knob wrist. 2-3/4" chamber. Fine cut checkering on the wrist and forearm. Invector choke tubes with factory full, modified and improved cylinder choke tubes included. LOP: 14-1/4". Includes lock, choke tube wrench and serial matching box. CONDITION: Excellent with 99% finish remaining. Wood is excellent as well. Bore is bright and crisp. Appears to be unfired and possibly only assembled a handful of times. Hang tag still attached. French gray receiver with engraved elk scene on the right side of the frame and moose on the left. No visible engraver signature. Gold washed trigger. Gloss finished wood stock and forearm with fine cut checkering on both the wrist and forearm. Both have a carved floral outline. Metal sling studs. Factory black rubber butt pad. LOP: 13-3/4". (engraver???) CONDITION: Very fine with 98% plus finish remaining. Wood is excellent as well. Bore is clean with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. CALIBER: 7MM Rem Mag. FFL STATUS: Modern.
