Nazi Uniform Tunic for an District Manager in the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territorie

Lot # 1531 (Sale Order: 532 of 952)

Nazi Uniform Tunic for an District Manager in the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories

Established in July of 1941, the Reichsministerium fuer die besetzen Ostgebite, also known as the RMBO or Ostministerium, was the bureaucratic organ established to manage the Russian land seized by Operation Barbarossa. An early stage of Hitler's dreams of "lebensraum", the RMBO men served as superiors to local elders and village chiefs who had to answer to the Nazis while running the day to day operations of their areas. While the eventual goal was to drive all the Russians to death or serfdom and replace them with Germans, the collapse of the Eastern Front and the unstoppable Soviet counter-strike briskly and firmly slammed the door on those dreams. Brown wool construction overall, with a pair of collar tabs bearing laurel leaf borders and three rank diamonds each, a silver thread on brown felt Nazi eagle on the left arm, tan braided cord around the cuffs and the "state official" buttons on the front and pockets. No makers marks are visible on the light purple inner lining.

Condition: Very fine, with some minor handling marks overall. Some light staining is present on the interior.

Large Carved Hardwood Nazi Eagle Wall Hanger Marked "OBERSALZBERG", Primary Retreat of the Nazi Part

Lot # 1532 (Sale Order: 533 of 952)

Large Carved Hardwood Nazi Eagle Wall Hanger Marked "OBERSALZBERG", Primary Retreat of the Nazi Party

Measuring 36 inches tall and 26 1/2 inches wide, this hardwood carving of an eagle clenching a swastika in a wreath is finished in gold paint, with a steel hanging bracket installed into the back near the stamped marking "VERWALTUNG/OBERSALZBERG/1938". Originally a small resort town near Berchtesgaden in Southern Germany, Hitler was first told about Obersalzberg by one of the participants in his 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, and upon getting out of prison traveled there to finish dictating Mein Kampf. During the ascension of the Nazi Party, the royalties from Mein Kampf paid the rent on a small chalet called Haus Wachenfeld, which he would later buy and convert into his Burghof. Obersalzberg was bought out in it's entirety by the Party, which established a security cordon manned by the Liebstandart SS Adolph Hitler, and converted the area into the NSDAP's home away from home. Over the course of the war, the area was heavily bombed, and several buildings torched by evacuating SS troops, leaving little intact.

Condition: Fine overall, showing a mended break in the right wing, minor chipping, and some light handling marks overall.

Scarce Japanese Model 1902 Papa Nambu Pistol Rig in the Scarce 8000 Series Serial Number Range with Original Leather Holster and Original Box of Nambu Ammunition

This is a very fine example of a Tokyo Gas and Electric manufactured Model 1902 Nambu pistol which collectors refer to as a Papa Nambu version, that falls into the scarce 8,000 series serial number range. This scarce pistol and holster lot is accompanied by a very desirable original WWII box of Nambu ammunition still sealed. The top of the box has several Kanji characters which identifies the ammunition as being "1st Tokyo Arsenal ammunition, Type 14 Showa date 20.2".

The top of the receiver has the original Imperial Chrysanthemum (total intact) over the Kana characters for "9/7'Type" rifle. Equipped with an original WWII Japanese 2.5 X telescopic sight mounted on the to the left side of the receiver. The scope is marked on top "2.5 X 10/with a five pointed Star with a Circle in side/No.3878". The lower side of the mount is numbered "9304" and the back side of the mount is numbered "290". The left side of the receiver is fitted with the original scope base ( however it has a broken retainer spring, which can be replaced). Original tuned down sniper bolt numbered "076" on the underside, cocking knob numbered "421" with un-numbered firing pin and an original non-matching dust cover. Original WWII stock with cupped sheet metal buttplate and handguard. With an early Type 30 Nagoya marked hook bayonet, metal scabbard with original leather frog, original canvas scope case with shoulder straps, original leather sling and rare late war plastic push on muzzle cover.

Condition: Very good overall with half of the faded original blue finish on the metal parts, with browning on the floor plate, bolt assembly and dust cover (missing the front trigger guard screw). The stock and handguard are both good plus with minor handling marks and light scratches overall with clear proofmarks on the underside of the buttstock. Interestingly enough there is a small bullet hole on the right side of the forend that exited the left side and splintered the stock, which has been nicely glued back in place, so that it doesn't distract from the originality of this rifle. The scope is also very good plus with 90% of the black painted on finish which shows minor chips and nicks overall. You can see through the scope, however the optics are a little blurry. The scope case is also very good with intact stitching and shoulder strap with wear and scuffing on the edges and high points of the case. A very nice original historic "battle damaged" WWII Japanese Type 97 sniper rifle and scope rig.
