Continental European Flintlock Holster Pistol with Brass Barrel

This 18th century holster pistol is similar to others by gunmakers from Austria and Bohemia and has a smoothbore barrel with a rounded blade front sight, floral engraving at the breech and the brass lock plate, non-bridled faceted pan, internal bridle, floral designs along with busts and masks on the brass furniture, a pieced side plate, raised fleur-de-lis style carving at the upper tang and bottom of the forend, a horn forend tip and wood ramrod.

Large Attractively Carved Powder Flask
Lot # 368 (Sale Order: 365 of 1256)
14 inches long, with a matching colored plug, dog-shaped spout, and a brass base cap. The body features a carved wrap around scene of birds diving around a sailing ship and a frontiersman with a long gun, two dogs and a child. The text "In Aurelia" and "Recuerdo de un amigo lupin(?)" (Spanish: "Memory of a wolf-like friend") is present on the bottom. A split has formed at the base and the base cap is loose, otherwise very good, with attractive color and good detail in the carving.

Silver and Gilt Accented Caucasian Qama Dagger

20 5/8" OAL with a 15 1/4" spear point quad fuller blade, horn grip with gold and blackened silver panel overlay, and matching embellishment on the sheath with a skeletonized back panel exposing a section of soft leather. Very fine overall, with mild potting and handling marks. The decoration is all in very good order.

Silver Accented Knife with a Carved Antique Ivory Hilt
Lot # 373 (Sale Order: 370 of 1256)
13 5/8" OAL, 7 3/8" single edged drop point blade that features a 3 inch false edge, nearly square languet, and an integral round bolster. The bolster is attached to an aged silver collar, which has a faint "STERLING" mark on one side and traces of an illegible inscription on the other. The hilt is sent into the collar, carved from a single piece of antique ivory with carved leafy scroll motifs and checkerboard panels, with blackened silver scrolls and dots accenting the pattern. The sheath is silver plated, with leaf and acorn motifs integrated into the belt hook, and engraved scrollwork and arrays of arms on the front and back. Fine overall, some shallow pitting, good patina to the silver, and a slight age crack on the grip.
