American Flask & Cap Co. 6 oz. Coat of Arms "Navy" Powder Flask

Lot # 208 (Sale Order: 205 of 1256)

Very Fine American Flask & Cap Company 6 oz. Coat of Arms "Navy" Powder Flask

The powder flask has an angled spout and features crossed revolvers, stars, spread wing American eagles, and martial designs on both sides of the body. While not marked, this pattern is shown on page 202 of "The Powder Flask Book" by Ray Riling and identified as No. 590 from the American Flask & Cap Company catalog. They are similar to the Colt Model 1851 Navy flasks but actually have better detail, and would certainly look excellent in cases with Colt Navy or Army revolvers, Remington revolvers, or others. Very fine showing the vast majority of the original finish, attractive aged patina on the brass, a small dent and generally only minor wear.
