Manufactured c. 19th century with an ornately formed Damascus barrel with chiseled ornamentation and gold breech band, a niello/silver inlaid lock, and a leather wrapped stock with ball pommel.

Two Ornate Caucasian Style Qama/"Cossack" Daggers with Scabbards
Lot # 430 (Sale Order: 429 of 1210)
This grouping includes two similar looking Caucasian style qama daggers, also commonly referred to as "Cossack" daggers, due to the famous horsemen regularly carrying them. Both of these examples have extensive engraving and silver inlays on both the hilts and scabbards, mostly featuring floral motifs. One has a crescent moon and two stars deeply stamped on the blade. One measures 15 1/2 inches overall and the other measures 16 1/8 inches overall. The example with the unmarked blade does not properly fit in its scabbard.

Manufactured c. 1856-1859. "B 19,237/ADAMS' PATENT No 34986.R." on the right side of the frame and Robert Adams retailer mark on top. Includes a case with a Deane and Son trade label inside the lid, Adams mold, cap tin, flask, nipple wrench, oiler, additional mainspring, and balls and bullets.

Good overall as refinished with mostly distinct markings and checkering, some mild pitting, and general mild wear. The single action hold is inconsistent, but it functions fine in double action. The case and accessories are mostly good with age and storage related wear, including cracked dividers.

Daniel Ross was a gunmaker in Edinburgh, Scotland, c. 1815-1839. The gun comes in a takedown case with a mallet, powder and shot flasks, and additional tools.

Double Percussion Barrel Shotgun

This unusual 19th century shotgun appears to have had a revolving primer device likely feeding pill primers given the shape of the strikers on the hammers. It has an unclear maker's mark on the standing breech, silver trigger guard and buttplate, various animal motifs and scenes, and gilt eye accents.

Good with an older re-browned finish on the barrels, dark brown patina, aged patina on the silver, and general mild wear. The priming mechanisms are absent, but the locks function.

Minie-Cordier Percussion Rifle

These unusual rifles manufactured by Cordier & Cie of Paris are generally noted as designed by Claude Minie to train French cadets around the 1860s. However, the included note from Pembroke Fine Arms states that this is a trials rifle rather than a training rifle and states that Minie believed there was no advantage in a barrel longer than 20 inches but used this unusual design to still allow a long sight plane.

"ROBERT'S PAT./JUNE. 11. 1867" marked on the left. This rare conversion is more often seen on Model 1861 and Model 1863 Rifle-Musket. Only around 5,000 were completed by the Providence Tool Co. for the Robert Breechloading Arms Company in New York c. 1869-1870.
