Colt First Generation Single Action Army Revolver
Lot # 53 (Sale Order: 53 of 1210)
Factory letter states revolver was shipped to Em-Roe Sporting Goods Co. of Indianapolis, Indiana on June 18, 1926 with a 5 1/2 inch barrel in .38-40 caliber, blue finish, and hard rubber stocks. This was a single gun shipment. The letter goes on to state: "The records further indicate subject revolver was returned to the factory on July 14, 1926. It was then shipped to Tufts-Lyon Arms Company in Los Angeles, California on August 3, 1926 in a shipment of 2 guns."

Manufactured c. 1875-1889. Includes an extra set of celluloid grip panels, which the consignor states are unique Remington made examples. Writer has no documentation to substantiate this claim other than that the grips are certainly old.

Good as refinished, with a shortened barrel, areas of wear and pitting, filled in hole on the butt where a lanyard ring once resided, and a visible barrel address. Grips are also good, undersized at the leading edges, with some scratches and scuffs. Mechanically fine.

Smith & Wesson .44 DA 1st Model Revolver with Stock
Lot # 64 (Sale Order: 64 of 1210)
Introduced in 1881 with all frames manufactured prior to 1899. The included factory letter lists this revolver in .44 S&W with a 6 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, and checkered black hard rubber grips when shipped on February 27, 1908 to Marcus Hartley Co., New York, NY in a shipment of five units. The letter further states that the revolver was cut for the included shoulder stock after it left the factory.

Very fine overall with original finish, handling marks, and softened grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Stock is very good with handling marks and a chip on the buttplate toe.
Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 Single Action Revolver
Lot # 65 (Sale Order: 65 of 1210)
The New Model No. 3 was sold from 1878 to 1912, but all of the frames are reported to have been manufactured before the end of 1898 making them antique. Matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder, and butt. No visible number on barrel latch. Revolver falls into a serial number range (34181-35079) of New Model 3s sent to Takata, Japan, c. 1904-1908 (see "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson," page 118).

Copy of New Haven Arms Co. Volcanic Lever Action Carbine
Lot # 71 (Sale Order: 71 of 1210)
This is a professionally made copy of a New Haven Arms Co. Volcanic lever action carbine. The original pistols and carbines were manufactured in 1857-1860. Only an estimated 1,000 total carbines were produced distributed across three different barrel length configurations. The various Volcanic firearms are important pieces in the evolution of lever action firearms and predecessors to the New Haven Arms Co. Henry rifle and Winchester Model 1866. This very well-made carbine has serial number "174" stamped on the right of the lower tang, lever, and inside the buttstock channel. "47" is also stamped underside of the buttplate and the buttstock under the buttplate.

Very good as professionally made, with smooth gray patina on the iron, a brightened appearance on the brass, some light freckling, and some light dents and scratches on the re-oiled stock. Mechanically very good. This is a professionally made representative example of the iconic New Haven Arms Co. Volcanic carbines that laid the ground work for the famous Henry rifle and subsequent Winchester lever actions.
Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle

Engraved New Haven Arms Co. Henry Lever Action Rifle
Lot # 73 (Sale Order: 73 of 1210)
Approximately 14,000 Henry's were manufactured between 1860-1866, and half of them are believed to have been used by Union soldiers, mostly purchased by the men themselves, some using reenlistment bonuses. "That damned Yankee rifle that can be loaded on Sunday and fired all week" was one of the most advanced firearms of the war. This rifle was manufactured in 1864 and features L.D. Nimschke style 20th century custom scroll engraving with beaded backgrounds and "Nimschke stars" and entwining line motifs on top.

Very good with gray and artificially aged brown patina over moderate pitting on the iron, legible barrel markings, attractive aged patina and crisp engraving on the brass, and a very nicely figured replacement stock with minor dings and small chips. Mechanically fine.
Antique Special Order Winchester Deluxe Model 1873 Rifle
Lot # 74 (Sale Order: 74 of 1210)
Manufactured 1882, barrel shortened, "XXX 903 S" marked on left of lower tang, "903" repeated in the stock inlet and inside the buttplate. Included factory letter lists the rifle in .38 caliber with an octagon barrel, set trigger, half magazine, casehardened finish, and checkered pistol grip stock when received at the warehouse on 25 November 1882 and shipped two days later.

Good, with mostly grey patina, some scattered light pitting and evidence of polishing/some softened markings, and a minor repair and some scattered minor handling marks in the refinished wood. Mechanically fine.
Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured 1870, "R.L.P." stamped on both sides of the rear of the receiver, patch of heavy pitting or a bulge towards the middle of the barrel.
