Each person wanting to bid must be at least 18 years of age and must register through Proxibid. There is no onsite bidding for this auction. A valid photo I.D. issued by a local, state or federal agency is required to complete all transactions. The way you register for this auction is how your vehicle paperwork will be completed. Please make sure your name and/or company name and address are spelled correctly so your documents are completed correctly. If you are a car dealer please make sure you register this way. There is a $25 fee for corrections after paperwork has been completed. Buyers Premium of 15% will be added on all purchases (i.e. purchase price is 1,000 x .15 = $1,150 total). Sales Tax is not collected on vehicles; you will remit your taxes to your title facility when you transfer the vehicle. Some items in this auction may be subject to seller’s reserve; if reserve is not met the item will not be declared as sold. A $25 notary fee applies to each item. If you are high bidder, Auction Company will contact you within a few hours after auction has concluded to determine your form of payment and then an Invoice will be emailed to you. Due to Covid 19 state and/or local regulations, a mask or face covering is required to enter premises and social distancing must be observed. Other restrictions may be in place due to Covid19 that were not known at the time of this posting. No more than 10 people will be allowed in the yard at one time. No one under the age of 18 is allowed on auction premises. Registered persons will be permitted on the auction premises on the day before the auction date to preview the vehicles from 9AM until 3PM. In order to view vehicles on inspection day a $50 CASH ONLY deposit & Valid ID is required per person in order to enter auction site. You must claim this deposit before you leave premises on inspection day. Any person found altering or tampering with any items at the Almonaster Towing Facility will forfeit his/her deposit along with the right to bid at the auction or future auctions and will be removed from the premises. Although information is derived from sources believed to be true and correct, the auction company/seller makes no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, on the items for sale and shall not be held responsible for any advertising discrepancies or inaccuracies. All vehicles are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED and are sold WITHOUT KEYS. Running condition is UNKNOWN. All sales are final. No warranties are made as to the merchantability of any items or their fitness for any purpose. Please rely on your own inspection of item before bidding. The vehicles are from an impound yard. They were impounded for one reason or another and have NO KEYS. They may be a branded vehicle; please check lot listing for this information. Prior to bidding on a vehicle, please run Carfax reports, NMVTIS reports, Recall checks and/or other checks you deem necessary to make your own determination on vehicle. Odometer readings are shown in pictures if they were readable; however vehicles that are over 10 years old are exempt from mileage disclosure. If the vehicle is within 10 years then the odometer will be required however it could not be obtained by seller as there are no keys to the vehicles. Vehicles may be wrecked, have dents, scratches, flat tires, tears in seat, etc. Although the lot description may not mention defects or missing parts, does not mean there aren't any, rely on your own inspection before bidding. The vehicles will have a Louisiana Permit to Sell, which looks and acts like a title. It 'PERMITS' the tow facility to sell the vehicle to help recoup towing and/or storage fees. Buyer will be provided a notarized bill of sale and “Permit to Sell” issued by the Office of Motor Vehicles in accordance with LA R.S. 32:1711-1732. Please make sure this is accepted in your state of residence before bidding on these lots, as there is no guarantee of transfer into other states and all sales are final. A $25 Notary fee applies per item in this auction. PAYMENT IN FULL is required on auction day by 2PM or by noon on the following business day 9/4/20 in US DOLLARS payable to ServCorp International, Inc. The credit card on file will be automatically charged if full payment has not been received by noon on 9/4/20. Payment shall be made by cash, cashier’s check, certified check, money order, company/personal check with a current irrevocable bank letter of guarantee and/or bank wire. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express will be accepted through APN or by paying onsite with Auction Company. Any card transaction will have a 3% convenience fee added to invoice. Checks without a guarantee letter will only be accepted up to the amount of $5,000. Checks must be pre-printed, no counter checks are accepted. Bank wires must have $25 bank fee added to total. Credit Card charge backs are not accepted. Once item has been declared sold, the buyer has entered into a contract and is responsible for the items. All items declared as “SOLD” by the auctioneer must be paid for in full within the required payment timeframe. If full payment is not made within designated time frames, then bidder will not be allowed to register or bid at any and all future auctions conducted by ServCorp International, Inc. and will be reported to Proxibid as a non-paying bidder. Purchasers have the auction day and 3 business days to remove the vehicle(s). All vehicles purchased and paid for must be removed from the auction site by the Wednesday following the auction by 3 PM. No Removal on Monday, September 7th due to Labor Day Holiday. See checkout for dates/times of removal. No shipping is provided for this auction, pickup only. The City of New Orleans does NOT have loading equipment available for lifting vehicles onto a trailer. All loading/removal is responsibility of and at the expense of the purchaser. Storage fees from the Almonaster Towing Facility will accrue after allotted removal dates at a rate of at least $19.00 per day per vehicle. Anyone who does not remove their purchases within the specified dates and times will be banned from participating in future auctions. All purchased vehicles must be signed for with the Almonaster Towing Facility prior to being removed. You must provide the Towing Facility a valid ID and paid invoice to sign for your vehicles. You will be given a release slip after signing for your purchased vehicle/vehicles. The release slip/slips will be given to the guard on duty as you remove the vehicle/vehicles. If you will not be picking up your own purchases you will need a Notarized Affidavit of Authority authorizing someone to pick up and sign for your vehicle/vehicles on your behalf. After signing for your vehicle/vehicles with the Almonaster Towing Facility you can complete your vehicle paperwork with the Notary. There is a $ 25.00 notary fee added at time of invoice, for all vehicles, boats & trailers and/or any other item that requires notarization. If purchaser is from out of state and is sending someone else to pick up vehicles, then a copy of vehicle paperwork for each applicable item will be sent to purchaser for signature. Upon receipt of these signed copies back to the Auction Company the originals will then be sent by priority mail to the purchaser within 14 business days. If buyer is local, paperwork can be picked up from the auction site or ServCorp’s office in Slidell. PLEASE do not lose your vehicle paperwork; if you do, there is a fee of at least $125 for duplicates. Purchaser does hereby indemnify and hold harmless the auctioneer and seller from any and all damages, claims or liabilities from injuries to persons or property of any type whatsoever caused during the sale or by the removal or shipping of items purchased. When entering any of the auction sites you do this at your own risk. Auction Company represents the Sellers’ interests in this transaction. Announcements made on auction day take precedence over any printed material and/or prior oral statements. The auctioneer and/or seller reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids or re-catalog or remove any item from the auction at their discretion. Buyer is responsible for knowing which item they are bidding on. The Auction Company/Seller shall have no liability to the buyer of any lot for non-delivery of any purchased item(s), other than the return of the buyer's deposit and/or payment on the lot if applicable. All sales are final and no refunds of purchases will be allowed for any reason. Auctioneer shall have no responsibility for internet bidding interruption or delays beyond their control. Internet bidders should be aware that due to the nature of the internet, delays in transmission could result in the software failing to recognize your bid. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Auction Company, seller or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the auction. Auctioneer will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid 24 hours before the auction begins to close. If you are an employee that works for the agency that this auction is being conducted for, please check with your supervisor before bidding, as most auctions for governmental agencies do not allow their employees to bid on their items. By registering for and bidding at this auction, bidder acknowledges that they have read, understand and agree to the above statements.
