Shipping Instructions: Steve Chupp Auctions is working with Shipping Saint to offer a shipping option for small items. Steve Chupp Auctions also has a shipping option for larger items. If the buyer needs an item shipped it is solely the responsibility of the buyer and they need to contact Steve Chupp to make arrangements. Buyers wanting to pick up their items, times are yet to be determined. If items are left past the pick-up date, those items are forfeited by the buyer and will become the property of the Auction Company. It is the buyer's responsibility to pick their items up or arrange for any shipping.
Preview Date & Times: Doors will open at 8:00 AM the day of the Auction.
Checkout Date & Times: Pick up days at location of auction are Friday night after the sale ends, September 16. After that call Steve Chupp to make arrangements for pick up and location of items. After 30 days a storage fee charge will incur.

READ THE AMAZING STORY ABOUT THIS PIECE. Framed and matted COPY of a Circa mid-1800s picture of P.T. Barnum with a fake taxidermy FeeJee Mermaid. In 1842, P.T. Barnum ran an ad in newspapers about a FeeJee Mermaid which featured the torsos of beautiful women, which were completely different than the frightening taxidermy FeeJee Mermaid that he had on display. P.T. Barnum leased the taxidermy FeeJee Mermaid for display purposes from the son of Samuel Barrett Eades who purchased it in 1822 from the Dutch, who had acquired it during their trade with Japan in the early 1800s. Eades believed it to be a real taxidermy mermaid and sold his ship for $6,000 in 1822 to get the money to buy it. Historians believe it was the head of a juvenile monkey sewn to the back half of an aquatic animal as a joke by Japanese fishermen in the early 1800s.
