Title & Transfer Fees • All title work will be handled by Crister’s License & Title Service which is located at 614 210th Ave., Monmouth, IL 61462 • Illinois retail buyers can expect to pay 6.25% Illinois sales tax. Also expect to pay $150.00 title fee. License plates will be available for purchase if desired. Crister’s Service will charge a fee to issue plates with this varying from $13.00 - $18.00. All purchases of non-dealership vehicles will have a $13 title/$18 plate fee (Illinois residents.) Out of state retail buyers can expect to pay $5.00 to Crister’s License Title & Service for title work. License automobile dealers will pay a $5.00 title fee to Crister’s License & Title Service. Sales tax will apply to not only Illinois retail buyers, but also non reciprocal states which include; AZ, CA, FL, IN, MA, MI, HI, & SC. Critser's License & Title Service will require a valid drivers license or government ID. Actual license plate cost vary as per state regulations.
