Rummy Soda Bottle Display

Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 1 of 334)      

Our first lot is for a six pack of Rummy Soda with a neat little thin cardboard display sign. The bottles and six pack look like they were never used. The bottles are empty and have a plain bottle caps on each bottle. The sign also looks like it was never used but it has been reinforced with white tape on the back as the cardboard is brittle, there is a crack / tear on his front arm in the center. The bottles are 7 ounce green glass, the sign in the six pack is approximately 15" x 9". The display looks great and is sure to please the lucky winning bidder.

Victorian Figural Bill Holders

Lot # 2 (Sale Order: 2 of 334)      

This lot is for three Victorian era paper clips or bill holders. The first and best looking is that of a womans hand; it is 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" and made of brass with a steel back and spring. The next two both feature a horseshoe with the word Spencerian on it; these are 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" and 3 3/8 x 2. Spencerian Script is a script style that was used in the United States from approximately 1850 to 1925 and was considered the American standard until the 1920s when the spreading popularity of the typewriter rendered its use as a prime method of business communication obsolete.

Lot of 4 Columbia River Basin Arrowheads - Oregon

Lot # 3 (Sale Order: 3 of 334)      

Offered is a collection of 4 Columbia River Arrowheads. These offer a cross section of the material which is to be found nowhere else in the world. The largest is approximately 1" x 3/4" and the smallest is 5/8" x 5/8". These are exactly as found with few if any flaws. These were some of the original collector's favorite and have remained in their private collection until now. These were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the OAS and were found in the Columbia River Basin over several years circa 1960.

1941 Fur Company Calendar

Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 4 of 334)      

This lot is for a 1941 Calendar and thermometer. It is for Noonan Furs corner of Seventh and C Streets. It feature a diecut image of a pretty woman with working thermometor, a complete 1941 calendar pad and a telephone Index. This was from back in the day when people wrote down phone numbers. It is unused and comes complete with its original mailing box. Size is approximately 11" x 3 3/4" x 1/8" on some pretty thick stock.

Blitz Weinhard Flat Top Beer Can

Offered is a 12 ounce flat top beer can from Blitz Weinhard Company of Portland, Oregon. This is one of the cleanest examples of this can we have had. It is an indoor can with great color and shine. There are a few case dings along the rims otherwise the can is as nice as they come.

Vintage Bronze ARMCO Elephant on Culvert Statue - Spokane Culvert and Tank Co.

Old bronze advertising paperweight/statue of an elephant balancing on an iron culvert. Mounted on a triangular bronze base with a felt-lined bottom. Marked raised letters: "ARMCO" over a raised triangle on three sides and "Spokane Culvert & Tank Co. Spokane" in inscribed letters on top of the base. Wonderful detail on the elephant. Very good condition. Measures 3.5" x 3.75" tall.

US Postage Stamp Plate Blocks Lot - 1945 to 1965

Lot # 8 (Sale Order: 8 of 334)      

This lot is for approximately 125 unused United States postage stamp plate blocks from 1945 through 1965. The stamps are either 3 cent or 4 cent stamps with a couple of 5 cent blocks and one 1 cent block. They look to have come from an album as they are in black plastic holders that are used by collectors today. Some of the holders have spots of paper on back of them from use, some do not. We did not check every holder but the ones we did the stamps inside look like they were never hinged or used as the glue is intact without any marks. Two Uncut Sports Stars Elite Sports Card Sheets - 1988-1989 - Jordan, Gretzky, Montana, Lemieux

This set of two uncut sports card sheets is titled "Sports Stars Elite I" and "Sports Stars Elite II." The sheets feature athletes from the years 1988-1989, including:
  • Michael Jordan
  • Wayne Gretzky
  • Joe Montana
  • Bo Jackson
  • David Robinson
  • Mario Lemieux
  • Rickey Henderson
Other top athletes of the era are also included. Both sheets measure 20" x 13" and have various condition issues, including smudging, water damage and yellowing due to age - all of which is most notable from the reverse, stats side of the cards and not the full color photos on the front. One sheet does not have all of the players' names in the name boxes on the front of the card - please see the photos for your best description.

Vintage High Relief Carved Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch

Offered is a Victorian Era gold mount shell cameo brooch. It has great detail with a nice pink color to the top half of the shell behind the womans head. On the back this has both a pin and a movable eyelet so it could be worn as either a pendant or brooch. It is larger than most at 1 3/8 x 1 7/8 and is very well made. The mount is marked on the back 1/20 12K with no makers mark.

Maybe Site Columbia River Arrowhead

Lot # 13 (Sale Order: 13 of 334)      

This lot features a single Columbia River point. It was found circa 1960 at the Maybe Site on the Columbia River. It is a well known Late Archaic to Paleo site that produced many points and tools. This is one of the more unusual arrowheads from this collection as far as the type of rock it was made from, this looks like petrified wood. Size is approximately 1 1/4" x 1". This was found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society.

Lot of Three Golden Gate International Expo Coins - Petroleum Exhibit - San Francisco Bay

This lot of three tokens / medals comes from the Golden Gate International Exposition that was held in both 1939 and 1940. Two of the coins come from the Expo's Petroleum Exhibit - one is dated 1939 and the other 1940. Both of those coins measure 1.25" in diameter and weigh 13.4 - 13.6 grams. The third and slightly smaller coin is dated 1939 and features the likeness of the Golden Gate Bridge on one side and a plane soaring over a covered wagon with the years "1849-1939" on the other side. This coin measures approx. 1.25" in diameter and weighs 10.3 grams.

Set of Three Elongated Cents / Pennies - 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Expo - Treasure Island

This set of three elongated cents/pennies comes from the 1939-1940 Golden Gate International Exposition, held in San Francisco. All three pennies depict a similar scene - the Golden Gate Bridge behind a setting of the recently completed San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. Two of the pennies are in very good condition and the third is in good condition. As well, one of the pennies has a hole near its right edge. Please see the photos for your best description on how the pennies slightly vary from one another. Each penny measures approx. 1.25" long and weighs approx. 3 grams.

Schafer & Vater Color Nipper Flask - Kiss Me - Complete w/ Original Stopper

This Schafer & Vater color nipper comes complete with the original stopper. It is in the shape of a blonde-haired woman with puckered lips. The nipper bears the inscription "Kiss Me" at the bottom. There are some light scratches near the woman's hair that are consistent with how the nipper was originally made. Otherwise, the piece is in very good condition. Measures approximate 5" tall.

Shell Oil 20 Year Service Pins 10K Gold

Each one is marked on back 10K and has a small green stone mounted in the center and has along the bottom front "20 Years Service".
