Producer of handmade spurs and bits of one piece, Joh...moren Robert McChesney was the first spur maker to widely market those Texas-style Western-gear items. The one we have here is marked as a McChesney bit, which would make it an "After McChesney", as they were not marked while he was alive. The second bit is a distinguishably and easily identifiable Mexican bit based off style and design. Both would be great for any Cowboy or Cowgirl's collection! MAKER: One bit is a marked McChesney bit, the other is unmarked.... APPROX AGE: The McChesney bit is circa 1920-1950s, and the Mexican bit is early 1900s....
