This auction takes place in Arizona, so Arizona law applies. General. This is a cataloged auction and unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer, the items will be offered in order, by lot number, as listed in the catalog. Buyers are given ample opportunity to preview items and are encouraged to consult with whom ever deemed appropriate to acquire satisfaction with regards to value, condition and authenticity of the items. The Auction House (WTP) does its best to describe and photograph each lot however, those descriptions are our opinion and we are not experts in all fields, so it is ultimately the buyer's responsibility to inspect the item(s) to their satisfaction. In the event of a dispute of a bid, the validity of a bid, the priority of a bid, or any other issue with respect to bidding -- the auctioneer has final say. The title of a lot passes to the winning bidder upon cleared payment. Estimates. The estimate range is provided as a guide for prospective bidders and is based on the condition, rarity, quality and provenance of the item(s) being offered. They do not constitute a warranty, representation, guarantee or prediction of a selling price. Estimates may be subject to revision at the discretion of WTP. Estimates do not include the buyer’s premium, any applicable taxes, and any other applicable charges. WTP is not liable for any errors or omissions with respect estimates in the auction catalog. Property Condition. The physical condition of products offered can vary due to age. Dents, dings, scratches and other damage or repairs may be present, and is common, on used and vintage items. Opinions of condition may vary from person to person so items are available for preview well in advance of the auction. Please inspect thoroughly PRIOR to bidding. Read the condition report listed for each item and look at the pictures closely and form your own opinion. Bidder/Buyer assumes responsibility for ascertaining the condition of an item in their opinion. A “Buyer’s Premium” is added to the final hammer amount to help cover fees incurred by WTP. The premium is as follows: 15% (with a 2% discount offered if paid by cash, check, certified funds or wire transfers). Online Marketplace Platforms have an additional premium added (usually 5% over the WTP rate) as a pass thru of their premium fee charged to WTP. Check auction details on each platform individually for specific fees. State sales tax applies. Applicable sales tax is added to purchases within AZ (and any other states when applicable) unless a valid resale certificate is provided prior to bidding. “Buy it Now” is a versatile option which may be offered at the discretion of Western Trading Post, with the cooperation of Sellers. How this works is if a buyer is willing to pay the high estimate plus applicable fees (which would include a 13% Buyer's premium and applicable shipping and handling) for a particular auction lot, they can buy the item(s) now and not wait till auction day. This option is generally available during the first five days the auction is posted on our website and is subject to seller approval (which we generally get at the time of consignment). Please see auction description for details. Item Withdrawal. WTP reserves the right to withdraw any lot when sold through the buy it now option, or for any other reason, and neither assumes nor accepts any liability contemplated by a potential buyer for such withdrawal. Payment and Card on file. Bidders shall have a credit card registered prior to bidding activity. In house bidders must pay for items in full on the day of the auction and a receipt is required prior to removal of any items. Online bidders will be sent an invoice at the close of the auction (auctioneer may elect to charge the buyer's card for purchases before shipping is calculated). By agreeing to the terms and conditions and placing bids, bidders grant Western Trading Post permission to charge their credit card (if and when applicable) without further question, for charges related to purchases. Charge backs by the cardholder are strictly prohibited and the buyer shall be held legally responsible for any such activity. Alternative forms of payment (check, money order, wire transfer, etc.) are also accepted. Shipping: Items bought from afar can generally be shipped by Western Trading Post, or we work with a few different shipping services (see catalog for specific lot details). But please remember, we are shipping the item(s) for you, at your expense, and are not responsible for damage or loss caused by the shipping service. Buyer shall pay the shipping cost of items shipped, plus there is a minimum handling/packaging fee (see catalog listing for advertised cost on each lot). This charge is in addition to the cost of postage. We generally send packages priority mail with insurance, but if you want to make sure it is sent some other way, let us know immediately after the auction. Buyer takes the risk for un-insured packages. Once shipping is calculated, buyer will receive a final invoice and instructions on how to pay. This may include a Quickbooks invoice and/or wiring instructions. If we do not hear from online or absentee bidders within 24 hours, we reserve the right to charge their card (if on file) and ship the item(s) to the address provided without further notice. New buyers paying by credit card or check, and buyers wishing to have items shipped to another address other than the billing address of the card they are using, are subject to having the auction house hold their items for up to 30 days in order to make sure the payment clears. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please note international shipments now have to be serviced through a specialty shipper to accommodate certain requirements such as duty forms, etc.. Regarding Firearms: Any person(s) bidding on firearms in our auction are required to be at least 18 years of age for long guns and 21 years of age for hand guns. His legacy is carried on today by his grandson, who still produces bits and spurs under the E. Garcia brand. These single mounted spurs are covered from the heel band to the end of the shank in a silver floral design with twisted silver rope on the edges. In addition to the silver work, these spurs have 40 point rowels and chap guards (with their own 20 point rowels) plus two sets of jingle bobs. A great piece of western and entertainment history, this chuck box was used for storing items related to cooking and eating out on the range or at the Wild West shows. It contains many original items from the days it was used. The outside is stenciled with 101 Ranch in the middle of a pair of longhorns on the top and the front is stenciled with the remainder of the steer's skull along with the letter W and the name Woody, likely the camp cook. 101 Ranch was a large cattle ranch near Ponca City, OK that was owned by the Miller Bros. It is where the 101 Ranch Wild West Show began in 1907. 101 Ranch Wild West Show began the tour circuit in New York. The Miller Bros all worked the show, but Joe Miller, the oldest brother, was an exceptional equestrian and star performer. Available here for your consideration is a pair of Blanchard iron spurs (appear to be #4s) with the rare San Antonio, NM mark on them. These solid iron spurs are unadorned, except for the Indian Head penny mountings on the swing buttons. They have chap guards, six point rowels and plain leather spur straps. Edward Fred Blanchard was a true cowboy spur maker in the Southwestern part of the United States. He worked on ranches in New Mexico where he began making bits and spurs as a sideline. He eventually moved to Arizona and became a full time bit and spur maker. Items made by Blanchard have become very collectible since his passing in 1982.
MAKER: Although hard to see due to age and use, they are marked E F Blanchard San Antonio N. M. - for Edward F. Blanchard (1894-1982).

Offered here for your consideration is an early 1900s Deer Lodge hitched horsehair bridle. This bridle and reins are hitched horsehair with rosettes of a horse's head for accents. The Mexican bit has chevron inlays and Greek keys for decorations. Deer Lodge Montana's horsehair braiding program was one of the most known and popular inmate programs of its kind. Frank Conley, long time warden at Deer Lodge, created various programs in order to keep inmates busy as he believed it would keep them out of trouble.
