Rare Hope Style Saddle By Gallup & Gallitin

Lot # 367 (Sale Order: 351 of 440)      

Offered here for your consideration is a very rare Hope style saddle by Gallup & Gallitin. A great old saddle with a rare makers stamp, it is full of character, but in need of a little TLC. It is perfect for a restoration project or it is fine as a decorator like it is! 
MAKER: Gallup & Gallatin Denver Col. Saddlers (stamped). Gallup & Gallitin. Francis Gallup and Edward Gallatin formed the partnership of Gallup and Gallatin (circa 1863) and around 1873 Gallup bought out Gallatin's share.
APPROX AGE: 1863 to 1873.
SIZE: The saddle has a 10 1/2 inch seat and seems to fit an average size horse from back then.

Antique High Back Saddle By Lichtenberger & Ferguson

Offered here for your consideration is an antique high back saddle by Lichtenberger & Ferguson of Los Angeles. This center fire rig saddle has tooled leather, a leather wrapped horn and leather conchos on the 4 saddle strings down each side. In business from approximately 1900 to 1939 in Los Angeles, Lichtenberger & Ferguson were saddlers to the stars including Clark Gable as an example. A nice old saddle that would look great in your tack room or man cave. Bid now!

Pair Of Crockett Arrow Shank Bull Head Themed Spurs

This pair features silver overlays with an engraving of a bull on the outer heel bands and an arrow on the shanks. One of the nation's largest saddle suppliers until it closed in 1981 following a factory fire, Bona Allen produced heavy duty saddles for work and the trail. This saddle is a step above. Made of skillfully hand tooled leather and adorned with silver conchos, this saddle impresses. This is a great addition to any saddle collection. Bid now!
The saddle is pictured on a sturdy, attractive custom built stand. John Wayne Hat With Certificate By Resistol

Nice Condition Eduardo Garcia Horse Bit

Available here for your consideration is an Eduardo Garcia horse bit in very nice condition. Eduardo Garcia started making bits and spurs (having them produced in Mexico) in the late 1980s and continued until his death in the early 2000s. His legacy is carried on today by his grandson, who still produces bits and spurs under the E. Garcia brand. Decorated with silver inlay from end to end and a large silver concho at the cheek pieces, this is a nice bit. Even the slobber bar is decorated with silver inlay striping. Kelly Brothers & Parker Single Mounted Spurs - Circa 1915

Available here for your consideration are a pair of Kelly Brothers & Parker single mounted spurs. These old single mounted spurs have an elongated diamond silver overlay and 16 point rowels. Make them an addition to your collection or decor. Bid now to make them yours!
MAKER: K B & P. (Worn stamp with K.B.P. below the button visible). Kelly Brothers & Parker was a partnership between Pascal "PM"  Kelly (1886 - ?) and Clyde Parker. They produced high quality spurs from 1912 -1 919, and ended the partnership when World War One slowed down business. Kelly began making spurs as a child in his father's blacksmith shop. 
APPROX AGE: Circa 1915.
SIZE: The heel openings measure 3 1/2 inches, the band width measures 7/8 inches and the shanks measure 3 inches long overall. 
CONDITION: Average for their age with normal wear and  imperfections expected and someone has drilled a hole in the shank of one spur and a partial hole in the shank of the other. North & Judd Rearing Horse Bit And Other Items

Available here for your consideration is an old North & Judd rearing horse bit and other misc. items. There are three more plain old bits and two plain antique spurs, both with 8 point rowels, to complete the lot. A nice array of bits and spurs to start a collection or to decorate the man cave or tack room. Bid now!
MAKER: Rearing horse bit stamped with an anchor.  North & Judd was founded in 1832 and quickly grew into a leading supplier for the U.S. Army during the Civil War, Spanish American War and into World War I. In 1926, they bought out the Buermann Company and continued using the Buermann name. North and Judd was slowly phased out. 
APPROX AGE: Antiques (meaning made prior to the 1930s).
SIZE: North & Judd bit mouth measures 4 3/4 inches wide, and is 6 7/8 inches long overall on the cheeks. The other bits are 4 1/2 inches at the mouth and 6 1/2 inches overall, 4 1/4 inches at the mouth and 4 5/8 inches overall, and 4 7/8 inches at the mouth and 5 7/8 inches overall. The spurs measure 3 inches at the heel opening, with 3/8 inches wide bands and 2 inches at the shanks.

Group Of Crockett And Kelly Spurs

Available here for your consideration is a bargain group of Crockett and Kelly style spurs. The Kelly spurs and one pair of Crockett spurs are single mounted but due to age and use the decoration is substantially worn. The other pair of Crocketts is plain. One pair of plain Crocketts   has rawhide stitched over the heel bands and 12 point rowels. The other Crocketts have chap guards,16 point rowels and leather straps from Nelson of Grand Junction, Colorado. Each pair of Kelly spurs is taped on one heel band and they have nine point rowels. There is a pair of double mounted spurs which have been decorated with engraving and nine point rowels. Two Horse Bridles With Mexican Bits

Finely Braided Fifty Five Foot Rawhide Riata

Small Gallagher Wooden Redheaded Cowboy Carving - Statue

Best known for his Cigar Store Indians, Frank Gallagher also carved cowboys like this cigar smoking cowboy with one hand resting on his gun belt. MAKER: Although unmarked, Frank Gallagher verified this wooden cowboy - he wrote, "it was carved during the mid-1970s while in high school (15-17 years old). This was my first attempt making cowboys."

Fleming Silver Overlay Bit With Salinas Mouth

Available here for your consideration is a Fleming marked silver overlay bit with a Salinas port mouth. This bit has nice engraving on the cheek as well as a large concho on each side. There is a copper port and roller. It has a slobber chain and rein rings. Dick Fleming sold bits from a saddlery and later became a wholesaler and imported his bits and spurs from Mexico. This one is a fine example so make your bid today!

The bit is aluminum with engraving on the cheeks and slobber bar and on the two conchos. It is hallmarked Crockett. There are also braided reins attached. The other bridle is black leather with diamond shaped studs and decorative tooling. The attached bit is aluminum with engraving and a heart cut out on the cheek pieces. It is hallmarked Don Ricardo. Three Vintage Brown Studded Breast Collars

Offered here for your consideration are three vintage brown studded breast collars with a nice look about them. One of the breast collars is brown leather with elongated and conical studs. This collar has a ring on the studded center plate. It also has a maker's tag. Another collar is brown leather with a heart shaped studded center plate. There are also studs on the shoulder and tie down strap. The third is dark brown leather with studs along the shoulder straps and on the center plate.
