Russell, Charlie Russell, and "Kid" Russell, was an American artist of the American Old West. He created more than 2,000 paintings of cowboys, Native Americans, and landscapes set in the western United States and in Alberta, Canada, in addition to bronze sculptures. This is believed to be a first generation recast as it shows much more detail than most being produced in recent history, plus the current owner has personally owned it for approx. 45 years and it was an older piece when he acquired it. Headstalls have been woven here since the 1890s. This one has a unique "Dixie" theme to it and comes with a snaffle bit....It was purchased several years back directly from the program and has never been used. For your consideration here is a great older pair of handmade spurs. They are single mounted with what appears to be sterling inlay which is engraved with card suites. The spurs look similar to a No. 2402 "Ace" pattern from the old August Buermann catalog, except they have swing buttons and also solid buttons under that for a heel "leather." (Perhaps a custom order?) They are two piece...spurs with chap guards and handmade 16 point rowels. We could find no maker's mark on them. MAKER: Unmarked. APPROX AGE: Circa early to mid 1900s. Great Old Collectable Cowboy Spurs - Mike Morales

Offered here is a real nice old pair of single mounted spurs with spur straps. They are one piece, hand forged spurs...mounted with silver inlay which is also hand engraved. They also have nice leather spur straps with sterling conchos. They are marked with Mike Morales' squashed M and one also says,..."Hand Made". This is a great opportunity to own a pair of collectable Morales spurs! MAKER: Hallmarked by Mike Morales (1888-1934). APPROX AGE: Circa early 1900s. SIZE:...Heel opening is 3-3/8". Heel bands are 3/4" wide. Shanks are 3 1/4" long including the rowels. CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear expected.
