The plate on the back of the cantle says, Presented by Ed Bohlin to Stuart Hamblen Best All Around Cowboy Gilmore Rodeo....Stuart Hamblen (1908 ? 1989)...was an American entertainer who became one of radio's first Singing Cowboys in 1926, going on to become an actor, radio show host, and songwriter. In...1931, Hamblen began hosting a popular radio program. He also composed music and acted in motion pictures with cowboy stars including Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and John Wayne. In 1934, he became the first artist signed by the American subsidiary of Decca Records. Hamblen was known to participate in Rodeos during his teens and into his thirties. National Cash Register From the Arizona Territory

Up for your consideration is a National cash register shipped to the Arizona territory....This National Cash Register has a very cool look to it with a marble top above the drawer. Back in the day, the coins would be dropped onto the marble and the sound would tell if the coin was silver or counterfeit. All of the systems appear to work and the bottom of the drawer has a sticker saying it was sent to Globe, Arizona, in 1910. It is ornately fashioned and quite heavy. Bob is an artist when it comes to braiding and leather work and these items reflect that artistry. We were notified that Bob passed away (8-23-2001) while we were cataloging this auction.

He lived in Salt Lake City, UT,... with a foster family during high school. They gave him his first set of paints and brushes. While there, he met Hannah, another Navajo living with a foster family. She was to become the love of his life and the one who got his career off of the ground. They eventually moved to Gallup and Abeita was working as a draftsman. His boss recognized Jimmy's talent and helped him get a scholarship at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. His art career took off after that. MAKER: Jimmy Abeita. APPROX AGE: Circa 2000. He lived in Salt Lake City, UT,...with a foster family during high school. They gave him his first set of paints and brushes. While there, he met Hannah, another Navajo living with a foster family. She was to become the love of his life and the one who got his career off of the ground. They eventually moved to Gallup and Abeita was working as a draftsman.
