Presented for sale in this lot is a Colt model 1911 slide on an Essex frame. This pistol is in good condition, while showing some signs of use. It has Pachmayr hard rubber grips and a rubber bottom magazine for ease of removal. This pistol seems to function properly, however we have not fired it. Great self defense type of weapon. MAKER: Colt/Essex. Serial No. on the frame is 9417. APPROX AGE: Slide is old, frame is from circa the 1980s. SIZE: Barrel length is 5 inches and it's a .45 caliber.... The slide has the matte finish and the frame has a blued finish. It has checkered wood grips, a Bo-Mar adjustable rear sight, a blade front sight and a wide trigger extender. It has a blued slide, with matte finish on the gray...frame. The rear sight is adjustable and it has "Signature model" rubber grips (one side the emblem has been ground off the grip).
