This gun is in nice condition with light battle wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The M1A1 was folding-stock version of the M1 Carbine that developed in 1942, after a request for a compact and light infantry arm for airborne troops. The Inland Division of General Motors was the only manufacturer of the M1A1. They were produced two product runs, also referred to as "First Contract" & "Second Contract", starting in late 1942. First Contracts were issued solely to the 82nd & 101st Airborne Divisions. Second Contracts were issued to all U.S. Army Airborne units as well as the U.S. Marine Corps. The initial subcontractor for the special M1A1 stock was Royal Typewriters, Inc. in Hartford, Conn. The wooden components of the stock were supplied by the S.E. Overton Company of South Haven, Mich., and Royal produced the wire butt and assembled the completed stocks. Royal apparently experienced some problems in its capacity as the lead subcontractor, and eventually, Overton assumed responsibility for assembling the M1A1 stocks and shipping them to the Inland factory. The Second World War ended with the carbine firmly entrenched in the U.S. military’s inventory, and the M1A1 Carbine a mainstay of the American airborne units. DISCLAIMER: This item is not legal to own in Illinois (semi-auto with a folding stock). This gun will need to be picked up by, or shipped to, a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer. Also, we will deliver this gun to Keokuk, IA, or West Quincy, MO, free of charge.

1980 Colt Trooper MK III (8"), 22 LR, Revolver, SN - Y26978

Lot # 78

According to the Colt Archives serial number database, this Trooper MK III was made in 1980. SPECS: 8" ribbed barrel with shrouded extractor rod, Patridge-style pinned fr...moreont sight, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, checkered walnut Presentation Target grips with Rampant Colt gold medallion inlays, polished blued finish, grooved rear strap and casehardened hammer. This gun is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: Introduced to the firearms market in 1953, the double-action Colt Trooper was designed with the intention of addressing the medium frame revolver market as law enforcement officers had long complained about the weight of earlier models. The Trooper was made in three different variants/production runs - Original Trooper 1953 - 1969, Trooper MK III 1969 - 1983 & Trooper MKV 1982 - 1986. Intended to be the first major advancement of Colt's designs since the beginning of the 20th century, the MK IIIs used a new "J" frame and had no parts interchangeability with older models. The new revolvers employed transfer-bar lock work system so that the revolver could fire only if the trigger was deliberately pulled completely to the rear. The springs used in the MK IIIs internals were also an improvement. Unlike the older flat style, they were coiled and made entirely of corrosion-resistant stainless steel.

HISTORY: Few arms have served the U.S. military as long or as well as the famed "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903." For generations of American servicemen and arms enthusiasts, the M1903 has gained an enviable reputation as one of the best bolt-action military rifles of all time. The M1903 was manufactured by Springfield Armory at varying levels of production from 1903 until the late 1930s, and at Rock Island Arsenal from 1903 until 1913, and again from 1917 until 1919. Even though large numbers of M1917 "American Enfields" were manufactured and issued during World War I to supplement the supply of M1903s, the "Springfield 1903" remained a standard issue rifle throughout WWII alongside the M1 Garand. World War II saw new production of the Springfield M1903 at private manufacturers such as the Remington Arms and Smith-Corona Typewriter companies. As the already worn tooling began to wear beyond use, Remington began seeking Army approval for a continuously increasing number of changes and simplifications to both speed up manufacture and improve performance. This resulted in the replacement of the M1903, in favor of the M1903-A3, in 1942. The most noticeable visual difference in the M1903-A3 was the replacement of the barrel-mounted rear sight with a smaller, simpler aperture rear sight mounted on the rear of the receiver which was designed by Remington; it was primarily adopted in order to speed familiarization by soldiers already trained on the M1 Garand which had a similar sighting system.

1986 Remington XP-100 (10.75"), 221 Rem. Fireball, Bolt-Action Pistol, SN - B7505223

Lot # 92

The date code "LV" on the barrel of this pistol represents a February, 1979, production date. SPECS: 10.75" barrel with vent-rib, Mohawk Brown nylon stock with white diam...moreond inlay/ black forearm tip & checkered grip and scope base with rings with Burris 5X scope. This gun is missing the two front screws on the rib, but otherwise in excellent condition with no wear to speak of, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working. HISTORY: The Remington XP-100 is a bolt-action target pistol produced from 1962 to 1998, and was one of the first handguns designed for long-range shooting. It was noted for its accuracy and is still viewed as competitive today in the sport of handgun varminting, which it helped create, as well as in metallic silhouette shooting. The XP-100 was based on Remington's short action bolt action carbine, the Remington Model 40X, which influenced the later Remington Model 600 rifle. It was initially introduced with a 10.75" barrel set into a nylon stock with a unique center-mounted grip. The XP-100 went through a number of changes during its production run, and many variations were only available through the Remington Custom shop. The most significant changes in the later versions were to barrel length which went to 14.5", and the grip location which eventually was moved to the rear of the stock. The calibers also changed with the elimination of the original 10.75" barrel.

MARKINGS: Barrel - "HS"/ Flaming Bomb/ "P" (proo...morefed); Top Receiver - "U.S./ MODEL OF 1917/ EDDYSTONE/ 1119696"; Left Side Of Receiver - Flaming Bomb acceptance stamp; Top Of The Receiver - Eagle Head acceptance stamp (twice); Bolt Handle - "R" (bottom) & Flaming Bomb (top), Rear Sight Ladder & Base - "E" (Eddystone), Front Sight & Dovetail - "W", Bayonet Lug - "W", and Left Side Of Stock - "O.G.E.K". SPECS: 26" barrel, adjustable folding aperture rear sight, wing-protected front post sight , metal buttplate with cleaning kit compartment (does not include kit), walnut stock/ handguard with grooved forearm, sling rings and bayonet lug. CONDITION: This gun is in nice condition with light battle wear, has a sharp bore with light pitting and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The M1917 Enfield, or "American Enfield", is an American modification and production of the British Pattern 1914 Enfield (P14) rifle (listed in British Service as Rifle No. 3) which was developed and manufactured during the period 1917-1918. When the British Empire entered World War I, it had an urgent need for rifles, and contracts were placed with companies in the United States. In the case of the P14 rifle, Winchester and Remington were selected. When the U.S. entered the war, it had a similar extreme need for rifles. Rather than re-tool completely, the factories, under the close supervision of the US Army Ordnance Department, altered the P14 design for the 30-06 caliber. Winchester produced the rifle at their New Haven, Connecticut, plant and Remington at their main facility at Ilion, New York, and at another plant in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. Numerically, it was the main rifle used by the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I. This new rifle was formally adopted as the new standard U.S. Service rifle and named the Model of 1917. It was manufactured by: Eddystone (1,181,908 rifles), Remington (545,541 rifles) and Winchester (465,980 rifles). Design changes were few; the stripper clip feed, internal box magazine, bolt face, chamber and rifling dimensions were altered to suit the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and the US pattern 5-round stripper clips. The stock was slightly redesigned, lightening it somewhat, and the volley fire sights on the left side of the weapon were deleted. The markings were changed to reflect the model and caliber change. The M1917 was used alongside the M1903 Springfield, and quickly surpassed the Springfield design in numbers produced and units issued. By November 11, 1918, about 75% of the AEF in France were armed with M1917s. An M1917 Enfield rifle was used by Sergeant Alvin C. York on October 8, 1918, during the event for which he was famously awarded the Medal of Honor.

Cased 1960 Ruger Super Blackhawk (7.5"), 44 Magnum, Revolver, SN - 2170

Lot # 94

According to Ruger's Serial Number Database, this "Old Model" Super Blackhawk (without transfer bar) was produced in 1960, which was the second year of production. This g...moreun comes in the original dovetailed Mahogany display case which was only offered from 1959-1961. SPECS: 7.5" Barrel, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, Patridge front sight, smooth walnut grips with silver/ black logo medallion inlays, serrated hammer and 6-shot cylinder chambered for 44 Remington Magnum. CONDITION: This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Ruger Blackhawk is a six-shot, single-action revolver that was introduced in 1955. The Super Blackhawk (chambered for magnum loads) was introduced in 1959. Ruger’s Super Blackhawk can certainly be called an overwhelming success. It was a hit right from the beginning and was to become the flagship of their single action revolver line. Finished in a superior high polish compared to the standard Blackhawk guns, wearing a long grip frame with a distinctive dragoon-style trigger guard, there was nothing quite like the "Super" at the time. The early Blackhawk models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload, and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. In 1973, in order to eliminate accidents occurring from the hammer jarring against a round loaded in the sixth chamber, Ruger introduced the "New Model" Blackhawk. The New Model Blackhawk did not require the hammer to be half cocked for loading and unloading, and it employed a transfer bar mechanism which prevented the cartridge under the hammer from being fired without the trigger being pulled. All Super Blackhawks, new & early styles, are capable of operating with much higher pressure handloads than factory produced ammunition in .44 Magnum. It is one of the top choices for handgun hunting and is capable of reliably taking down deer, elk, caribou, moose, lion, grizzly or brown bear and even cape buffalo. It combines the reliability and simplicity of a revolver with the energy of the famous magnum cartridge.
