Lot # 302

This M38 Turkish Mauser is dated 1940 on the receiver ring, along with "TC ASFA ANKARA" (Republic of Turkey Askari Military Factory) and the Ottoman crest. This is an ori...moreginal military surplus rifle that was imported to the U.S. by C.A.I. and comes with a period correct bayonet. CONDITION: This rifle is in used surplus condition with Cosmoline lubricant in the bore & receiver, has a sharp bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: At the end of the 1930s and mid-1940s, it is easy to imagine the situation of Germany, the former main supplier of the Ottoman Empire which had become the Turkish Republic in 1923. Their new purely Turkish assembly rifle launched in 1938 and will lend its designation to the old Ottoman rifles modernized to this "38" standard. The Turkish M38 Mauser isn't really a single model but rather a common set of features. This was the first Mauser type rifle made by Republican Turkey. It is an assembly of original Mauser and Zbrojovka Brno parts with a Turkish stock and some mechanical elements machined by them. Markings on Turkish M38s vary, and some rifles will sport complete Czech actions and others may not. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. Scarce - 1952 Hungarian M52 "PU Sniper", 7.62x54R, Bolt-Action, SN - BC0477

Lot # 317

This Hungarian M52 Mosin-Nagant Pattern 91/30 PU Sniper Rifle is dated "1952" on top of the barrel shank along with the Hungarian country code "02". The "02" code can als...moreo be seen on just about every component of the weapon, including the side mounted scope base. This rifle has no import markings and is all visible numbers matching: barrel, bolt, stock, floorplate and buttplate. This sniper rifle sports an authentic (period correct) Russian 3.5 power PU type scope, marked "5-20839" (1952 sn-0839), with original leather covers. SPECS: Darkly blued steel, turned down bolt handle, 29" barrel, adjustable folding tangent rear sight, hooded front post sight, metal buttplate, full length birch wood stock & handguard with grooved forearm, period correct green canvas sling with leather straps and 5-round integral box magazine. 1976 Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight (20" Smooth Slug), 12 Ga., Pump, SN - 371576637

According to Ithaca Gun Company's "37 Repeater" serial number chart, this shotgun was produced in 1976. SPECS: Checkered hardwood stock with fleur-de-lis pattern & fluted...more comb, etch engraved receiver with game bird hunting scenes, original black checkered buttpad with embossed "Ithacagun", black grip cap with white spacer, 20" Deer Slayer smooth slug barrel, adjustable elevator rear sight, front ramp with orange v-pin sight, sling studs & black nylon sling. CONDITION: This shotgun is in good condition with some various light wear, has a shiny/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The Ithaca 37 is the only pre–World War II shotgun still in production. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.
