Taurus Judge - Stainless (3"), 45 Colt/ 410 Ga., Revolver, SN - DP181391

HISTORY: The Taurus Judge was originally called the 4410, but the name was changed to 4510 in 2006 to reflect its versatility. The name "Judge" came from Bob Morrison, the Executive Vice President of Taurus at the time, who learned that judges in Miami, Florida, were buying the 4410 for self-defense in their courtrooms. The Judge has shallower rifling than other handguns, which reduces the dispersion of shotshells and stabilizes single-projectile loads less. 1968 Daisy V/L Special Presentation (Dealers Only) , 22 VL, Air Rifle (W/ Hardcase), SN - A012419

Lot # 389

The Daisy V/L Rifle was only manufactured in 1968 & 1969. It was offered in three variants: V/L 0001 (first 1,000) sported wood stocks, had a name plate with the serial n...moreumber and came with a case; V/L 0002 "Standard" sported plastic stocks with approximately 19,000 made; and V/L 0003 "Presentation" sported the same features as the first 1,000 except the customer could have their name put on the plate with approximately 4,000 made. Daisy also issued "Special Presentation Models" to dealers to be used for display. These models sported all "deluxe" features, such as walnut stocks and a plaque marked "VL RIFLE SPECIAL PRESENTATION MODEL/ DAISY & HEDDON. This dealer's only Special Presentation Model is from a former firearms wholesale distributor and comes in the original brown Boltaron hardcase with original (factory issued) brass wall hangers and original manual. This gun is believed to be new/ unfired with no wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. ADDITIONAL INFO: The V/L ammunition consisted of a .22 caliber bullet with a small cylinder of propellant on the back and no primer. The rifle resembled a typical spring-air rifle, but the 2000 degrees hot, high pressure air served not only to propel the projectile but also to ignite the propellant on the back of the V/L cartridge. The rifle uses a small, unique and well designed part called an Obturator (obturator/ignitor) to compress the air as it is pushed through a tiny hole. This air is heated as it is pushed through the small hole enough to ignite the powder of the caseless round. The V/L guns and ammunition were discontinued in 1969 after the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ruled that they constituted a firearm, and Daisy, which was not licensed to manufacture firearms, decided to discontinue manufacture rather than become a firearm's manufacturer. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.
