GLOCK 42 Subcompact (3.25"), 380 ACP, Semi-Auto (W/ Hardcase), SN - AAWT616

Lot # 367

The Glock pistol has without a doubt become the preferred sidearm of many law enforcement agencies in the United States. The commercial market is just as large if not the...more largest in the country. Throughout the world, the pistol has been adopted by Army and Special Forces units, law enforcement as well as competition, recreation and self-defense users. However, one very popular caliber that has always been missing in the GLOCK family was the .380 Auto (9x17mm). Oddly enough, Glock has made pistols in this caliber for many years, but they did not appear in the U.S. The reason for this is that in order to import pistols into the United States, there is a point scale that they must reach. GLOCK's configuration of their pistol chambered in .380 Auto caliber did not accrue enough points to be considered importable due to the caliber. So, GLOCK decided to build a 380 Auto model at their GLOCK USA facilities in Smyrna, GA. Released in 2014, the G42 is a striker-fired, subcompact pistol and is an excellent choice for personal protection. With 3.25" barrel, target sights, empty weight of under 14 ounces and ultra compact frame size, the G42 is truly a unique carry option. This gun comes in original black hardcase with (3) extra magazines and paperwork. This gun is in new condition with no wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order.

Circa 1910 Savage Model 1903, 22 S L LR, Pump, SN - 95135

Lot # 368

The Savage Model 1903 is a pump-action, side-ejecting, .22 rimfire rifle with an internal hammer that was produced from 1903 until 1916. The rifle's most unusual feature ...moreis a detachable magazine. Typically, pump-action rimfire rifles have a tubular magazine located under the barrel. The Savage Model 1903 is a Takedown Model with the takedown screw located on the right side of the receiver just above the trigger. Other features include a walnut stock with "half-pistol" knob grip & 11-groove forearm, curved metal buttplate, 24" octagon barrel, adjustable v-notch rear sight, dovetailed bead front sight and tang safety. This gun is in nice condition for its age, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Rather than a basic bolt-action or a lever gun, the 1903 used a pump-action system, something that was still pretty novel at the time. As such, it was an answer to the Colt Lightning and Winchester Model 1890 pump-action takedown carbines that had been introduced just a decade prior. However, one-upping Colt and Winchester, which both utilized underbarrel tube-style magazines, Savage's new gun had a detachable box magazine. Savage touted the loading system in a period advertisement as "An exclusive feature," saying several loaded magazines could be carried in a pocket and "instantly" loaded when needed. "This insures rapidity of fire and gives accuracy unattainable with other 22 caliber repeating rifles." Extra magazines could be had at the time for a quarter, and today they are still made by Triple K.
