From the factory the .380 Government Model came with a capacity of 7+1. In 1986, Colt introduced a simplified version of their .380 with a shortened barrel, slide, and grip frame, holding two fewer rounds and sold it as the Mustang. In 1987, the Pocket Light version was introduced boosting the popularity because of the reduced weight of the weapon. In 1988, the Mustang Plus II was introduced, and it had the longer grip frame of the original Government Model. The Colt Mustang was produced from 1983-1996, and then reintroduced in 2011.

The M14 was developed to take the place of 4 different weapons systems: the M1 Garand, M1 carbine, M3 submachine gun, and M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR). It was thought that in this manner the M14 could simplify the logistical requirements of the troops by limiting the types of ammunition and parts needed to be supplied. Also, we will deliver this gun to Keokuk, IA, or West Quincy, MO, free of charge.

Heckler & Koch Full-Size VP9, 9mm Para, Semi-Auto (Hardcase & Accessories), SN - 224-118394

Lot # 131

The VP9 is Heckler & Koch's latest, and most successful pistol design. Features include a 4.9" barrel, Flat Dark Earth frame with blued slide, laser ax mounted front gree...moren-dot and comes in original hardcase with interchangeable straps/ extra magazine/ quick-loader & paperwork. This gun is in same-as-new condition with no wear, has a nice sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Experience gained by HK engineers with the P30 hammer-fired pistol had a direct influence on the design of the VP9, but the VP9 breaks new ground with its integration of a unique striker firing system with an enhanced HK light pull trigger. The net result is a pistol with custom-fit ergonomics with trigger quality unequaled in any production striker fired handgun. Every detail, including the grip angle, the contour of the front strap and the high rear saddle were chosen to fit the human hand. And the adaptable grip frame allows you to interchange both backstraps and grip panels in 27 unique configurations to fit your hand. All of these features help you get the same consistent grip, every time you pick up your VP. The VP trigger surpasses those found on competitors. It has a short, light take-up with a solid, single action type break followed by a short positive reset. In addition to these features, all controls are completely ambidextrous including HK's patented charging supports, simple components that are mounted on each side of the rear of the slide and provide better gripping leverage for racking the slide rearward. The charging supports speed reloading and make operating the VP9 easier for shooters with reduced hand strength. The VP pistols uses the proven P30 steel magazine. The VP9 has an extended Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail molded into its polymer frame for mounting lights and accessories. The rail has been tested and certified to handle mounted accessories up to 5.6 ounces. HK's famous cold hammer forged barrel made from cannon grade steel ensures long service life. Similar HK barrels on 9 mm P30 models fired more than 90,000 rounds in endurance tests in 2010. The polygonal bore profile, with no traditional lands-and-grooves rifling, contributes to longer service life as well as a slight increase in muzzle velocity. The VP9's machined steel slide is protected from corrosion and wear by HK's hostile environment finish. VP pistols are made in Heckler & Koch's Oberndorf factory in southwest Germany and are covered by Heckler & Koch's limited lifetime warranty.

Post-War Inland M1 Carbine (Detroit Police Dept.), 30 Carbine, Semi-Auto, SN - 4591

Lot # 132

This post-war M1 Carbine sports an Inland Mfg. receiver and is stock marked "DPD" (Detroit Police Department), "9" (rack number). Features include an 18" barrel, adjustab...morele rear peep sight, front band sight with ears and sling ring. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has an excellent sharp clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Between June, 1942, and August, 1945, ten primary contractors and dozens of subcontractors established manufacturing facilities tooled up, and produced over six million M1 carbines under the direction of the U.S. Office of Ordnance. In the years following the end of the war in Korea (July, 1953), surplus GI carbine parts began making their way to the commercial market. The surplus parts existed in sufficient numbers so that it was possible to build entire M1 carbines from these surplus parts. During the mid to late 1960s, the surplus GI parts started drying up due to widespread use. As each part became less available, commercially manufactured replacements were designed and produced. Some post-war commercially sold M1 Carbines were built entirely of surplus parts, others were only partial surplus re-builds.

1979 Sig-Sauer P6 (West German Police), 9mm Luger, Semi-Auto (W/ Hardcase), SN - M425906

Lot # 133

This Sig-Sauer Model P6 West German Police Pistol is marked "10/79" (Oct. 1979), and BMI (German Police Unit) on the slide. Features include a double-action (DA/SA) trigg...moreer, 3.75" stainless barrel, matte finish, rear slide serrations, dovetailed white-dot sights, round serrated hammer, thumb safety, slide stop, black checkered grips with serrated backstrap and grooved front strap. This gun comes in the original blue hardcase with extra magazine and paperwork and manual. This gun is in nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. In the mid 1970s during the height of the Cold War, when Germany was divided into East and West Germany, the West German police force decided to replace its aging handguns and created a set of specifications for a new pistol. The German police, who were carrying a Walther PP chambered in .32 ACP, wanted a similar-sized pistol, only chambered in 9mm. SIG presented the P225 which was a slimmed-down version of its P220. The P225 used all the features of the P220 but in a more compact size. The German government approved these pistols for sale to police and designated the models for police (Polizei), and after the P225 was configured to West German standards, it was called the P6.

1926 Winchester Model 52 "Pre-A" (28") 22 LR, Bolt-Action, SN - 6074

Lot # 134

According to Winchester Arms Collector Organization, this Model 52 (pre-letter prefix) was made in 1926. Features include a 3/4 length walnut stock with grooved forearm &...more hand cut checkering, checkered metal buttplate, 28" barrel, Lyman fully adjustable rear peep sight, Lyman front globe sight, scope bases, period correct brown leather sling and 5-round detachable box magazine. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The Winchester Model 52 is a bolt-action .22-caliber target rifle introduced in 1920. For many years, it was the premier small bore match rifle in the United States, if not the world. Known as the "King of the .22s," the Model 52 was ranked by Field & Stream as one of "the 50 best guns ever made" and described by Winchester historian, Herbert Houze, as "perfection in design". However, by the 1970s, the World War I-era design was showing its age and had given way in top-level competition to newer match rifles from Walther and Anschutz; the costly-to-produce Model 52, which had long been a loss leader prestige product by that time, was finally discontinued when US Repeating Arms took over the manufacture of Winchester rifles from Olin Corporation in 1980. It was produced in several styles and sub-variations (updates) which were noted by an alphabetic SN suffixes - A, B, C and D were applied specifically to changes. Sub-models & variations included: Speed Lock (1930), 52A (1935), 52B (1937), 52C (1951), 52D (1961), International Match (1969), and 52E (1969). Initially, the Model 52 was priced at $42.35 for a standard model. This was a substantial amount for a rimfire at the time. Extra-heavy barrels tacked on $25 to that price. The reason for these then-exorbitant prices was the handwork that went into each rifle. Model 52s were given lavish hand fitting and tuning, and this was a significant reason that they were consistently winners in competition. From 1920 until 1980, 125,233 Model 52s were made, which may seem light, but recall that this was a high-end premium rifle.

This gun is in nice condition with light battle wear, has an excellent sharp clean bore and appears to be in good working order... The Pattern 14 (P14) Rifle, US designation M1917 Rifle, is one of the first standard rifles to be used in the sniper role in modern warfare. It also emerged as one of the finest Sniper rifles of either side during WW1. In the earliest part of the 20th century, the British Army had some doubts about the effectiveness of its newest infantry weapon, the famous Rifle, Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield, or abbreviated: SMLE. Because of these doubts, the government arms factory at Enfield Lock was set up to produce a Mauser-pattern rifle and new rimless ammunition for it. By the year 1912, such a rifle was produced in the form of the Enfield P13 (pattern 1913) rifle, alongside powerful magnum-class .276 Enfield ammunition. Being too powerful, this cartridge produced excessive muzzle flash and recoil, and wore barrels out too quickly. The Great War (WW1) effectively stopped the development of a new cartridge, and also put the British troops into desperate need for more and more rifles. As British industry had no spare capacity to produce Lee Enfields, in 1915, the British Government decided to order rifles from private US contractors. The P13 rifle was especially suited for rapid mass production, so it was ordered for British troops, rechambered for the standard British .303 ammunition. The .303 caliber rifles were manufactured by the three major US arms plants, Remington, Winchester and Eddystone (a subsidiary of the Remington).

Founded in 1999 by Rick Uselton, former U.S. Army Ranger, Uselton Arms, Inc., specializes in custom M1911s. Uselton Arms uses American-made, CNC-machined 416 stainless steel components. To further enhance durability, Uselton's Ceramic Armor Coat is applied to all components and areas except the barrel, the two-piece guide rod, the bushing and the feed ramp. The coating's natural lubricity and non-marring traits are especially desirable in a personal-defense handgun. Uselton Arms prides itself on tight tolerances, both in machining and fitting, and they are reportedly held within 0.001 of an inch, though oftentimes better. The slide is hand-fit to the frame, resulting in an exceptionally tight lockup with virtually no side-to-side movement throughout its travel.

This gun is in nice condition with battle wear, has a nice sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The M1917 Enfield, or "American Enfield", is an American modification and production of the British Pattern 1914 Enfield (P14) rifle (listed in British Service as Rifle No. 3), which was developed and manufactured during the period 1917-1918. When the British Empire entered World War I, it had an urgent need for rifles, and contracts were placed with companies in the United States. In the case of the P14 rifle, Winchester and Remington were selected. When the U.S. entered the war, it had a similar extreme need for rifles. Rather than re-tool completely, the factories, under the close supervision of the US Army Ordnance Department, altered the P14 design for the 30-06 caliber. Winchester produced the rifle at their New Haven, Connecticut, plant and Remington at their main facility at Ilion, New York, and at another plant in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. Numerically, it was the main rifle used by the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I. This new rifle was formally adopted as the new standard U.S. Service rifle and named the Model of 1917. It was manufactured by: Eddystone (1,181,908 rifles), Remington (545,541 rifles) and Winchester (465,980 rifles). Design changes were few; the stripper clip feed, internal box magazine, bolt face, chamber and rifling dimensions were altered to suit the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and the US pattern 5-round stripper clips. The stock was slightly redesigned, lightening it somewhat, and the volley fire sights on the left side of the weapon were deleted. The markings were changed to reflect the model and caliber change. The M1917 was used alongside the M1903 Springfield, and quickly surpassed the Springfield design in numbers produced and units issued. By November 11, 1918, about 75% of the AEF in France were armed with M1917s. An M1917 Enfield rifle was used by Sergeant Alvin C. York on October 8, 1918, during the event for which he was famously awarded the Medal of Honor.

Markings include: Barrel - "RA"/ Flaming...more Bomb/ "5-43", Left Side Of Stock - "FJA" with Crossed Cannons ordnance stamp, Bayonet Lug Band - "R", Front Underside Of Barrel "P", Underside Of Stock At Grip - circle "P", and Underside Of Bolt Handle "R". This gun is in nice condition with light battle wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. This gun is from the Terry Lee Brown Estate. Few arms have served the U.S. military as long or as well as the famed "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903." For generations of American servicemen and arms enthusiasts, the M1903 has gained an enviable reputation as one of the best bolt-action military rifles of all time. The M1903 was manufactured by Springfield Armory at varying levels of production from 1903 until the late 1930s, and at Rock Island Arsenal from 1903 until 1913, and again from 1917 until 1919. Even though large numbers of M1917 "American Enfields" were manufactured and issued during World War I to supplement the supply of M1903s, the "Springfield 1903" remained a standard issue rifle throughout WWII alongside the M1 Garand. World War II saw new production of the Springfield M1903 at private manufacturers such as the Remington Arms and Smith-Corona Typewriter companies. As the already worn tooling began to wear beyond use, Remington began seeking Army approval for a continuously increasing number of changes and simplifications to both speed up manufacture and improve performance. This resulted in the replacement of the M1903 in favor of the M1903-A3 in 1942. The most noticeable visual difference in the M1903-A3 was the replacement of the barrel-mounted rear sight with a smaller, simpler aperture rear sight mounted on the rear of the receiver which was designed by Remington; it was primarily adopted in order to speed familiarization by soldiers already trained on the M1 Garand which had a similar sighting system.
