1952 Russian Tula SKS 45 - Numbers Matching - Letter Series, 7.62x39, Semi-Auto, SN - LO3353I

Lot # 200

This Russian SKS 45 is visible numbers matching: stock, receiver, bolt, magazine, trigger guard, rear receiver cover and rear sight. This gun sports the Tula Arsenal Star...more stamp/ "1952" on the left side of the stock, as well as the Tula Star on the left side of the receiver. The serial number on this gun has a Russian letter (English letter I) at the end, as well as an unmarked (blank) receiver cover which is referred to by collectors as a "Letter Series" SKS. These "letter series" SKS models were part of a late non-standard small production run of guns in the 1950s. There are six "x's" stamped into the left side of the stock which indicated that it went through a factory inspection and was reworked before being put into surplus. Features include a ruby red laminate stock with rear cleaning kit compartment (includes kit), 20.5" barrel, retractable bayonet, adjustable folding rear sight, hooded front post sight, sling rings with tan canvas sling and 10-round internal stripper clip fed magazine. This gun is in nice condition with very light wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The SKS is a semi-automatic rifle designed by Soviet small arms designer Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov in 1945. The SKS was first produced in the Soviet Union but was later widely exported and manufactured by various nations. It was manufactured at Tula Arsenal from 1949 to 1958, and at the Izhevsk Arsenal from 1953 to 1954. A few years after the SKS was brought into service in 1949, it was rendered obsolete for the Soviet military by the new AK-47 which was adopted in increasing numbers by Soviet front-line units throughout the 1950s. Throughout the Cold War, millions of additional SKS carbines and their derivatives were manufactured under license in the People's Republic of China, as well as a number of countries allied with the Eastern Bloc.

Scarce - 1982 Ruger New Model Blackhawk, 357 Maximum (7.5"), Revolver (NIB), SN - 600-00298

Lot # 201

According to Ruger's Serial Number Database, this New Model Blackhawk Maximum (with transfer bar) was made in 1982. Features include 7.5" barrel, adjustable rear sight pi...morenned to the channel, Patridge front sight, grooved hammer and smooth walnut grips with medallion logo inlays. This gun comes in original box & cardboard sleeve with paperwork. This gun is from a former firearms wholesale distributor and is believed to be new-old-stock/ unfired with light box wear and appears to be in good working order. In 1982, Ruger introduced its New Model Blackhawk chambered in .357 Maximum. It was a .357 caliber revolver utilizing a cartridge case .315 inches longer than a standard .357 Mag. The cartridge was intended for handgun hunters and metallic silhouette shooters. The cartridge was designed to generate energy levels comparable to the .44 Mag. but without the recoil. After only two years of production, Ruger stopped manufacturing this high-performance handgun. The new Maximum featured a longer cylinder than earlier guns with a frame sized appropriately for the stretched cartridge and cylinder. To fully eject the longer Maximum cases, both the ejector rod and its housing were lengthened. The grip frame was steel and manufactured in the Dragoon-style which was utilized on the original Super Blackhawks chambered in .44 Mag.

Scarce - 1968 Albanian SKS Type 56-1, 7.62x39, Semi-Auto (Numbers Matching), SN - 01218-68

Lot # 202

The Albanian SKS Type 56-1 is a rather rare variant of the SKS rifle that was produced from 1967 to 1978 at the UM GRAMSH factory, located in Gramsh District in Albania. ...moreTotal production is estimated to be less than 20,000 rifles. Some estimates are less than 15,000, based on current known serial numbers. Although the Albanian SKS is, at its heart, a pretty straightforward SKS rifle, it does have some interesting features that set it apart. The most obvious visual difference is the Albanian’s full-length wooden upper handguard. Unlike other SKS rifles, this handguard extends the full length of the gas tube. The profile of the rifle also reveals an oddly shaped magazine body extending below the rifle. Unlike the gentle upward sweep of other SKS magazine bodies, this one has an abrupt, upward angle on its forward face. A closer look at the rifle reveals several more unique features. One is the bolt carrier handle which is more like that of an AK-47 than other SKS rifles. Another is dual storage compartment doors, rather than one - presumably for both the cleaning kit and an oiler bottle. Another is a rear sling swivel mounted on the left side of the stock. The last notable difference is the folding bayonet which is a spike type bayonet similar to the ones on Chinese SKS except for the color and design of the blood grooves - all Albanian bayonets are black. The serial number on this Albanian SKS Type 56-1 represents a 1968 production date and is visible numbers matching: receiver, rear receiver cover, magazine, trigger guard, bolt and rear sight. Features include a dark wooden stock, 20.5" barrel, adjustable folding rear sight, hooded front post sight and 10-round internal stripper clip fed magazine. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has a perfect sharp/clean bore and appears to be in good working order.

1959 Chinese - Jianshe Arsenal, Type 56 SKS (Numbers Matching), 7.62x39, Semi-Auto, SN - W2952

Lot # 204

The serial number on this Jianshe SKS Type 56 represents a 1959, or possibly early 1960, production date ("W" prefix = 1959, triangle 26 = Jianshe Arsenal). This gun is v...moreisible numbers matching: receiver, rear receiver cover, magazine, trigger guard, bolt and stock. Features include a dark wood stock/ handguard with grooved forearm, metal buttplate with cleaning kit compartment, 20.5" barrel, retractable bayonet, adjustable folding rear sight, hooded front post sight, and 10-round internal stripper clip fed magazine. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has a perfect sharp/clean bore and appears to be in good working order. The SKS is a semi-automatic carbine chambered for the 7.62×39mm round designed in 1943 by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. It was first produced in the Soviet Union but later widely exported and manufactured by various nations. The Chinese Type 56 SKS was introduced in 1956 and is still made today. Numerous minor tweaks were made to the Type 56 from the original Russian SKS including lack of milling on the bolt carrier, partially or fully stamped (as opposed to milled) receivers and differing types of thumb rest on the take-down lever. The Chinese continually revised the SKS manufacturing process so variations can be seen even between two examples from the same factory.

The term "Super Single-Six" refers to those models which have fully adjustable target sights, introduced in 1964. The early models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload, and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. A transfer bar was added to all models in 1974.

This gun is in nice condition with no wear to speak of, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. This gun is from the Terry Lee Brown Estate. The Ruger Single-Six is a six-shot, single-action rimfire revolver that was introduced in 1953, when westerns were popular in movies and television. Colt had discontinued the iconic Single Action Army prior to World War II, and few single-action revolvers were available to meet market demand for cowboy-style revolvers. The term "Super Single-Six" refers to those models which have fully adjustable target sights introduced in 1964. The early models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload, and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. A transfer bar was added to all models in 1974.

2000 Ruger Old Army (7.5" Stainless), 45 Cal., Percussion Revolver, SN - 148-92308

Lot # 219

According to Ruger's Serial Number Database, this Old Army black powder percussion revolver was made in 2000. Features include a 7.5" barrel, stainless finish, Hogue blac...morek rubber combat grips, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, Patridge front sight and 6-round cylinder. This gun is in nice condition with very light wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore (appears to be unfired), grip is missing the bottom screw, and appears to be in good working order. The Ruger Old Army is a black-powder percussion revolver that was made from 1972 - 2008. It was not based on an historical design but was a modification of Ruger's Blackhawk model which was itself based upon the cartridge-firing Colt Peacemaker. The Old Army revolver accordingly incorporates many modern design features though employing antiquated black-powder component loading. The design was built around the Blackhawk, but it takes its styling cues from the Remington Model 1858 cap and ball pistol. This is due to the frame being longer in front to accommodate the loading lever and pivot pin. Unlike the Blackhawk, the Old Army did not make use of Ruger's transfer bar safety; instead the revolver relied upon a series of safety notches between each chamber on the cylinder like some models of the Remington/Colt or other black powder revolvers of the mid-19th century had. The revolver was tested by loading each chamber to capacity with Bullseye smokeless powder and a lead ball. While this might result in catastrophic failure in other firearms, the Old Army proved to be strong enough to handle the pressure.

Ruger PC Carbine (16.25"), 9mm Luger, Semi-Auto (NIB), SN - 910-39579

Lot # 220

The Ruger PC Carbine Semi-Auto Rifle is a well-balanced, fast-handling weapon that is reliable in all situations. It comes with interchangeable magazine wells that accept...more the readily available Ruger and Glock magazines. Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart. The dead blow action features a custom tungsten weight that shortens bolt travel and reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise. The bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability. The reversible magazine release and reversible charging handle support ambidextrous use or one-handed control manipulation while maintaining a proper firing grip. The 16.25" cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling provides exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning. The heavy contour barrel provides consistent accuracy, while barrel fluting sheds unnecessary weight and allows for quick handling. The threaded barrel with included thread protector allows for use of standard muzzle accessories. The sighting system is an adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight and non-glare, protected blade front sight. The soft rubber buttpad with spacers allows the rifle to be properly sized for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear or defensive gear. The durable, glass-filled nylon synthetic stock features sling swivel studs for rapid sling attachment and forward mounted accessory rail to allow for a variety of accessories. A light, crisp trigger pull with minimal overtravel and positive reset utilizes proven 10/22 trigger components. The receiver is CNC-milled from an aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum billet, includes an integrated Picatinny rail and is Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability. This gun comes in the original box with (1) SR-Series magazine, an additional magazine well that accepts Glock magazines, stock spacers and paperwork.
