(Filed). Tintype of Young Man in Hat. Includes a letter from Ron Petrovich commenting of the subject in the tintype. He dates it to late 1861 and early 1862. He also thinks that this was a confederate Cavalry soldier due to the chaps he is wearing and there is an insignia on the hat.

Oil on Canvas Painting of Thomas S. Ashe. Member of the Confederate Congress, Candidate for Governor of North Carolina, and a member of the House of Representatives. The painting is signed N.Y. Panting. It is marked on the back "Heritage Fine Arts". It is 29 x 35 inches. The canvas has wrinkles and there is a damaged area where something leaned against the painting, but did not puncture the canvas. One corner of the frame is damaged with losses. There are cracks in two corners of the frame.
