William Welch, was an eccentric lawyer here, formerly of Madison, Wis., who has been indicted hy the grand jury for libeling Postmaster General Vilas in the The Home Diary, "which Welch publishes for his own amusement". He also charged that once Postmaster-General Vilas wrecked the Madison Insurance Company. Dates from 1896 and 1897, very interesting and eccentric articles. Sized 8" x 14" in good condition. Has small bylines supporting William J. Bryant for President.
