1965 RAMBLER MARLIN ViN 4106130

Lot # 1

1965 AMC Marlin. 46,000 indicated miles-not verified. V-8, Power Steering, Power Brakes, original working AM radio. All lights worked as of 4-14-19. This car starts and...more moves but the brakes are spongy and grab. I drove it on the small service road adjacent to our building but not on the main highway because of the brakes. The new owner should at least have the brakes serviced before putting it on the road. I believe the car has been pulled out of long-term storage and shows evidence of mouse infestation. There is evidence of mice chewing on the wiring harness under the dash area. The wipers, horn, temperature and gas gauge do not work. The car was repainted at some time and there is evidence of overspray, fisheye and orange peel. The car was parked under another car on a lift and grease & oil dripped on the hood. Most of the greasy material was removed however the hood finish does have an area that does not exactly match the rest of the car. The carpets and seat edges have mildew/mold on them. The seams of the rear seat are split, the dash pad is cracked and the headliner sags. There is also an area of corrosion and metal missing behind the wiper motor where a cowl strut attaches as seen in the attached photos. This firewall area should probably be repaired before placing the car back on the road as it is a structural area. Tires have excellent tread but are old and exhibit some dry rot. I was told this car was purchased from original owner in nearby Virginia many years ago. Car is still tagged and insured. Rocker trim is held on by many non original sheet metal screws. First year for the Marlin which only lasted 3 years.

1967 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS-VIN 124377N232648

Lot # 2

1967 Camaro RS. VIN supports this car is a Rally Sport with the electric tilt away headlamps and back up lights mounted under the bumper and not in the taillight lenses. ...moreCar is equipped with 327 210 HP 2 BL carburetor and 2 speed Power Glide transmission, Power Steering and manual drum brakes on all 4 wheels. The odometer shows 52,436 miles which we cannot verify. However-there is a 1990 era Va. inspection receipt in the glovebox indicating 39K at that time. The car appears to have had the two front fenders and valance panel replaced along with new front & rear seat upholstery, headliner and carpets sometime around 2010-11. An aftermarket radio has been installed. The car was most likely repainted the original GM ‘Fawn’ color at the same time which matches the paint code of the cowl tag. All lights, horn and wipers worked when we tested them on 4-14-2019 The exhaust system appears to be replaced recently. The floors, pans and rails appear sound as seen in the attached photographs. The windshield cowl and rear lip of hood could stand to be adjusted slightly. Car starts right up with no strange noises and does not smoke. I drove the car on the highway adjacent to our storage building and the transmission shifts nicely, and the car pulls very nicely. The front tires are too wide and rub on the front suspension when the steering is fully locked. The paint shows very nicely except for a spot which has lifted near the driver’s side drip rail which can be seen in the attached photographs. There is no spare tire in the trunk. I was told this car was purchased a specialty car dealer at the Ocean City Maryland Cruise In event several years ago and driven back to Hagerstown Maryland where it had been regularly driven. The car still has current tags and registration

1966 FORD MUSTANG-CONVERTIBLE WITH FACTORY 4 SPEED. VIN 6F08C326494

Lot # 3

76B 4 66 22D 32 1966 Mustang Convertible. 40,787 Indicated miles-no verification. The data plate information confirms this car is a V-8 factory 4 speed car with Pony in...moreterior. Marti report confirms it was originally Silver with Black Pony interior and top. Car has been repainted probably in the 90’s. As you can see the car has been reupholstered in a white Pony interior and features styled steel type wheels. Lights all worked when tested 4-15-19. Horn is not working. The car appears to have had lower half rear quarter sections added along with repairs to the front torque boxes years ago and recently replaced upper ball joints. The torque box repairs would benefit by revisiting them and rewelding the tack welds with some additional welding. The car has very nice body line gaps. It appears to have been repainted with all of the trim off of it. The car has no power top, steering or power brakes. The manual brakes are a bit soft probably from inactivity. I drove this car out on the highway and it really pulls strong. The motor appears to have some of the high performance equipment such as the headers, 4 BL Holly carburetor and dual exhaust. The starter drags a bit when the motor is hot and the battery may need replacement soon. The gas tank appears to have been recently replaced. The Purple paint contains very subtle metal flake and is in very good shape for being on the car as long as it has. Again-I was surprised how strong the car pulled compared to some of the other cars from this collection. Unusual color combination picked by previous owner but why not dare to be different. A lot of work was done on this car in the past. It has good provenance and will always be a factory 4 speed car regardless of color

1969 AMX 390 AUTO A/C-RESTORED

Lot # 4

1969 AMC AMX. VIN A9C397X162938. 60,330 indicated miles not verified. This car appears to have received an extensive “on the frame restoration” several years ago. It is...more equipped with a 390 V-8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes. clock, radio and air conditioning. The air conditioning does not blow cold and most likely needs a recharge or service. The clock does not work. The radio does not appear to be hooked up. The motor appears to have a mild cam in it judged by the way it idles. The motor is equipped with aftermarket intake manifold, carburetor, and alternator. The original components are in boxes in the trunk. The car is equipped with aftermarket headers and exhaust system. The fit, door, panel gaps and finish are very nice. The front fender wheel arch overlay lip area has had the lowest several inches trimmed slightly at some time probably to accommodate larger tires. This cannot be seen when viewing the car’s profile. You must look up into the wheel well area to see it. We only noted several small spots on the hood and door edge which have been touched up along with a crack in the plastic trunk lid medallion. This AMX starts up and we drove it on the highway adjacent to our storage building up to 60 MPH where it pulled well tracked straight and stopped as it should. The exhaust system has some rattles in it and a possible leak at the junction between the headers and the exhaust system. I believe this car has only been driven several hundred “shake down” miles since completion and would benefit from a thorough inspection and tightening of the undercarriage components. The car has been reupholstered however the headliner material may not be original. a LOT OF TIME AND MONEY HAS ALREADY BEEN INVESTED IN THIS CAR-WHY RETORE A RUSTY OLD WORN OUT CAR. CHECK OUT ALL THE PHOTOS.

1966 RAMBLER AMERICAN 440 CONVERTIBLE-VIN A6KS75A138456

Lot # 5

1966 Rambler 440 Series Convertible. 6 cylinder motor, 3 speed manual column shift. 24K indicated miles –not verified. Carburetor on this car needs a new bakelite choke ...more riser cap which is broken and won’t allow the heat riser to actuate the bi metal spring. Carburetor would also benefit from an overhaul. I’ve driven it around our storage lot and the motor is quiet and the brakes stop nicely. Wrong radio in dash. Undercarriage and floors appear solid. Trunk is solid Paint on car is very thick with some orange peel and could benefit from wet sanding or buffing out. Decent body lines. Great “10 footer” with existing mag wheels and like new tires. Most of old trim is somewhat tarnished and one letter on "ambassador" has the leg broken off it. The header bow has been repaired on the passenger side. Please note broken latch tab on passenger side top release as shown in photos. Previous owners reupholstered the entire car including carpets, seats door panels and the top. You can see in the pictures that the weather stripping on the top frame rails does not fit well especially in the area right before the windshield. It appears a lot of the rubber weather stripping on the top frame could stand to be replaced. The key chain contains both door luck and ignition keys. Hard to find this AMC body style that was aimed at it’s 6 cylinder GM and Ford counterparts
