'Second Model' Exhibition embellished antique large frame lever action repeating rifle chambered in .45-75 Winchester. Manufactured circa 1880 and subsequently adorned with fine floral scroll hand engraving, 13 gold wire inlays, gold White-tailed deer bust on the left side of the receiver, gold cow moose bust on the right side of the receiver, gold bull moose game scene on the right side plate and elaborate wooded scene on the left side plate with gold bear fighting two silver dogs. Features a blued 28" octagon barrel, full-length magazine tube, dovetailed front sight with German silver blade, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sporting sight, smooth trigger, case hardened hammer with knurled spur, dust cover with knurled oval thumb piece, curved case hardened finger lever, case hardened forend cap with sling swivel, point checkered extra fancy walnut forend, and pistol grip shoulder stock with inlayed curved bare pistol grip cap, inletted sling swivel & nickel plated trapdoor buttplate containing a five piece cleaning rod. Includes a 1981 dated factory letter to Jim Wilkinson stating it's original configuration as: "rifle, octagon barrel, plain trigger, checkered stock, checkered pistol grip, globe & graduated peep sights", also that it was received in the warehouse & shipped October, 19 1880. The barrel is marked "WINCHESTER'S PEPEATING ARMS. NEW HAVEN. CT./ KING'S-IMPROVEMENT-PATENTED-MARCH 29.1866. OCTOBER 16.1860." and the upper tang is stamped "MODEL 1876." Rifle exhibits approximately 99%+ beautiful bluing and case hardening with no observed wear. The nickel plated buttplate displays a cloudy cloudy appearance and shows some small losses. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent, markings are clear and the extra fancy wood stocks are very good+ with some small scattered dings/depressions. This rifle is chambered in 22-250, engraving attributed to Bryan Bridges. Mr Bridges is an accomplished engraver and sculptor for private mints as well as an instructor. Barrel is marked with Rifle Ranch Diamond-E logo and "NO 1000 RIFLE RANCH - PRESCOTT ARIZ". Features American Classic style stock, hinged floorplate with side-throw lever under floorplate, swept bolt handle, Jaeger trigger, two position low swing safety, two piece scope mount, 22" barrel with front swivel stud mounted on band. Exhibition grade figured walnut stock has rubbed oil finish with checkered panels at sides of wrist & forend, pistol grip, contrasting lighter wood forend tip, left side (right handed) pancake style cheek piece with shadow line, rear sling swivel stud, 13-1/8" length of pull. Bottom metal is deep relief engraved with floral scrolls, images of prairie dog on floorplate and rabbit on triggerguard bow. Grip cap shows what appears to be a marmot. Trapdoor buttplate shows a standing nude woman in a glade within a forest. Bolt knob is checkered top & bottom, with wolf or coyote faces on front and back. Configuration: Blued finish, 24 1/2" medium contour barrel with quarter rib fitted with a fixed sight marked for 50 yards & triple drop leaf express sights marked for 100, 200 & 300 yards, ramped & hooded blade front sight with brass bead, finely knurled trigger, three-position safety gold inlayed with "FIRE" & "SAFE", bright machine turned bolt with two panel teardrop knurling on the handle, internal box magazine with engine turned follower & hinged floorplate, single square bridge Mauser magnum length action with machine turning on the right side where the extractor slides across it, swivel studs and select walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with ebony forend tip, hand cut point checkering, steel grip cap, gold oval escutcheon engraved "W.L.L.", beaded right handed pancake cheekpiece, red rubber recoil pad & 14 1/4" LOP. The barrel is marked "No 2223 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC NEW YORK". The underside of the receiver shows a stamped Mauser banner logo with the serial number 111568. Case contains keys, a leather sling and Parker Hale branded brass jag, cleaning brush, patches and cleaning rod. The stock is contoured on the left side to match the lines of a magnum action with the thumb cut, though this action does not have the thumb cut. Rifle retains approximately 98% of it's original blued finish showing a small amount of thinning and a few light scratches. Action is very smooth, the bore is bright with good rifling & what appears to be light pitting near the muzzle, markings are crisp and the wood stock is very good with a .5" hairline crack at the top of the wrist, one small rectangular repair & one small square repair on the left side near the butt. Rifle features blued finish, 24" barrel, swept bolt handle, low swing two position safety, quick detach side scope mount, front sight removed. Barrel has a band mount for a forend stock retaining screw. Action mounts a Lyman receiver sight base with the peep removed and a blank insert filling the vertical dovetail. Scope is a Pecar 2.75x with fine crosshair, mounted using a E.C. Herkner "ECHO" mount. Stock has ebony tip, blued steel checkered grip cap & buttplate, pistol grip and left side (right hand shooter) cheek piece, checkering at wrist wraps all around, checkering at forend had fleur-de-lis inset and fancy nested panels with raised divider, sling swivel studs, 13-3/8" length of pull. Colt Single Action Army .32-20 SN: 274111

Revolver, single-action. 6-rd capacity. The classic American Colt SAA 1st Generation chambered in .32 W.C.F. (32-20). Blued metal finish, case-hardened frame, with blac...morek, hard rubber checkered grips with Rampant Colt. 4 3/4" barrel, with open iron sights., with V-notched frame. 2 line Colt address on top of barrel. Caliber on left side of barrel. Patent dates, and rampant Colt on left frame. Serial numbers match on frame, triggerguard, and backstrap. Numbers, and markings are clear. Assembly number is clear on the loading gate. Manufactured in 1906. Cylinder chambers appear very good. Bore appears good except there is a ring of pitting about mid-way. Blued finish is about 25%, with some finish remaining triggerguard, cylinder, and ejector housing. Also in protected areas. Some very slight traces of the case-hardened colors remain of the left frame. The rest has turned to a dull gray/brown patina, with some areas of surface rust, especially around the rear frame by the hammer. Correct ejector, and cylinder pin for this model, Grips serial numbers match the gun. Also on the inside of the left grip, someone has craved two dates, 12-25-47, and 12-7-72. (Christmas, and Pearl Harbor day??) Cocking action id crisp/tight. Provenance from the consignor is that it belonged to consignor's Great grandfather, James Kimsey, who came to Arizona in 1890 and settled in Winslow, Arizona. He managed Sunset Dairy of Brigham City. James Kimsey and his brother are mentioned in the book "The town is born" An interesting SAA, with Arizona history. Includes a Colt factory letter stating it was shipped January 20, 1906 to Simmons Hardware Company in St. Louis, Missouri in a 25 gun shipment. NRA Condition-Very Good. C&R Firearm. $1,750-2,500

Spectacular, engraved medium game bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield utilizing a large ring medium length Mauser action. Built by Franz Sodia of F...moreerlach, Austria circa 1961. Ferlach has a long and upstanding tradition of producing some of the finest hunting weapons of all types dating back to the 1500's and continues to this day. Ferlach firearms are known to have the perfect balance of quality, beauty, craftsmanship and functionality. The Sodia family began building guns in Ferlach in 1910 and closed down their factory in 1988. During their many decades as gunmakers they produced a magnitude of hunting gun models with customers including Carl Gustav of Sweden, Juan Carlos of Spain, Leonid Breschniew, Nicolae Ceasescu and others. The engraving work is master quality and is very reminiscent of Josef Fugger. It covers the receiver, triggerguard, floorplate & bolt handle featuring a diamond quilt pattern on the receiver ring & bridge, fine acanthus scroll throughout with ribbons on the floorplate, a full bodied buggling red stag in a forest scene on the floorplate and “FRANZ SODIA FERLACK” in an oval surrounding a large “S” on the triggerguard bow. Rifle exhibits approximately 98% of its blued finish showing a couple small scratches on the barrel with a minute amount of pin prick pitting observed on the right side under the scope. The receiver shows no visible wear but the rear stock screw shows some light damage. Action is very smooth, the bore is pristine, optics are excellent with clear glass & crosshair reticle and the custom stock set is fine.
