SERIAL NUMBER 5751979 BARREL 18" CALIBER .30M1 MANUFACTURED WW2. Produced by Winchester during the later stages of WW2 with parkerized metal finishes and oil finished walnut stock and handguard. Winchester proofed undated barrel with Winchester marked round bolt assembly, unmarked wide type 2 barrel band and "H" marked slide adjustable sheet metal rear sight. Trigger assembly is all "W" marked small parts with unmarked push button safety and "M" marked magazine release. 2 rivet "JLB" marked walnut handguard with "WRA w/ Ordnance wheel marked low wood walnut stock with 1944 green cotton sling w/ "SI" marked oiler. "W" marked operating rod assembly. Not import marked. CONDITION, Very good with most parkerized finish remaining. Areas of brown patina on barrel and exposed areas of receiver as well as trigger assembly. Wood stocks are very fine with legible proofs and inspection. SERIAL NUMBER 31161 BARREL 24" CALIBER 8X57 MANUFACTURED 1944. Produced late WW2 by Wilhelm-Gustloff-Werke, Weimar (BCD Code). and dated with a single "4" on receiver bridge. Laminated stock and handguard with grey phosphate finish on barrel, receiver and bolt assembly. Butt plate remains in the white. Very late production rifle with small parts not arsenal numbered and serial number of proper period bolt is not matching to rifle. No import markings. Stock retains Eagle "H" inspection on butt . CONDITION, Very good with excellent bright bore and properly operating action. Stock is full sized with oil staining and slight bruising but solid with no real distress. Phosphate finish is thinning in exposed areas but most remains. A very good original German WW2 K98 battle rifle. C&R

Stocks are of Russian Arctic Birch with metal finished in blue. Chrome lined bore and marked with (M21) on left side of receiver. These early production rifles saw extensive use in Vietnam and other cold war conflicts. CONDITION. Good with the metal finish being a mottled plum and showing light surface pitting. Bore and action are very fine. Numbers are matching. This rifle is NOT import marked and is a probable Vietnam War bring back. Stocks have been lightly sanded and refinished. UNITED STAES PROPERTY marked with Frank J Attwood inspection. CONDITION. Excellent and retain over 97% of the refinish parkerized finish. The bore is excellent with sharp rifling and the action operates properly. Fitted with a set of MMC combat sights. A very nice late war (1945) example of the venerable 1911 pistol. C&R

S/42 G DATE 1935 LUGER PISTOL WITH HOLSTER

Lot # 23b (Sale Order: 25 of 777)      

SERIAL 3525. BARREL 4". CALIBER 9MM. Made at the Mauser factory using codes instead of dates as they were still trying to hide production from Post WW1 restrictions. Stan...moredard model made in 1935 with blue finish, straw color small parts, checkered walnut grips, fixed sights, grooved for stock. This example features all matching numbers. Both magazines have numbered wood bottoms not matching gun. Holster is stamped Berlin 1915 and has an American Gi's name written in pen. Missing flap strap. NO tool. Small hole at end of magazine pouch and rear strap replacement. Grips are not numbered and show usual wear. Gun retains at least 85% original blue with all the usual high edge wear. At least 50% straw remains. Bore is strong but lightly frosted. Nice example of early pre war Luger. C&R
