Factory Engraved Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Rifle

Manufacturer: Winchester Model: 1866
Manufactured in 1872. The receiver is factory engraved with floral scroll and punch dot designs. The sides of the forend cap and the buttplate tang have light floral scroll engraving and the bottom of the cartridge elevator has a simple border design and "44 CAL". The engraving has been recut. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/King's patent dates and the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver directly behind the trigger. Blade front and fixed iron rear sights, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a brass crescent buttplate, with compartment, and a sling swivel on the buttstock and forend cap.
