Honus Wagner T206 Baseball Card
The Cobb/Edwards Honus Wagner card is a rare 1909 T206 unreleased version baseball card with a Piedmont-blue ink (Factory 25 dist. #) back. This card among the most rare of all T206 Honus Wagner cards, be it Sweet Caporal or Piedmont back. This card is also one of the world's most controversial baseball cards.
The Honus Wagner T206 Piedmont back has been referred to as the "Holy Grail" by card collectors and is often mentioned as, "The Card." Other cards with similar provenance have been sold in the open market, and all have attracted much attention as evidence by the purchase made by Arizona Diomandbacks owner Ken Kendrick, for $2.8 million in 2007.
