Sporting ladder rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Bbl. marked with Henry's Patent. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube are brown patina with scattered oxidation. Brass receiver has worn edges; pleasant mustard color. Hammer & lever are dark brown patina. Stocks have undersized fit with added varnish. Left side of wrist has a crack. Toe of stock has repaired lg. chip. Left side of wrist has a crack. S# matches to rifle. Bore is dark with some pitting. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 4 piece cleaning rod with brass tip. Cal. 44 RF. S# 90356. Bbl. 24" octagon. Standard markings. Front sight is dovetail adjustable blade. Rear sight is original sporting leaf graduated 100-900 yards. Walnut forend & buttstock with heavy brass crescent butt & brass forend cap with sling swivel. Buttstock has inletted original sling swivel. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube have aged to a pleasant brown patina. Receiver has been lightly polished some time in the past & has turned a nice mustard color with very few dents & scratches. Lever & hammer are mostly brown with hammer showing faint case color. Forend is in solid condition with light oil staining & a few dents & scratches. Buttstock is much darker. Has been sanded & oil finish added. Lower tang screw is replacement. Repaired crack near upper tang causing wood fit to be sub par. Has had dark oil finish added. ENGRAVED LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF. S# 6759. Bbl. 22". Standard markings plus oval "P" proof & "STAINLESS STEEL" on bbl. Raised integral ramp front sight with Marble's 57 insert. Rear sight is Marble's elevator adjustable. Style 9 factory engraved pattern with bighorn sheep on left side of receiver & whitetail deer on right. Fall 2010 edition of "WINCHESTER COLLECTOR" has article on page 12 titled "A Very Special Winchester with a "Stainless Steel Barrel"" by former President of the Winchester Collector's Association, David Bichrest that states "Stainless steel barrels were offered from the 1920's up through the 1930's for Winchester Rifles and Shotguns produced in that era. Stainless steel barrels were available on "Special Order" only at an extra charge." The article also states "The takedown feature, engraving, pistol grip fancy walnut stocks, special checkering and cheek-piece are also special order items. All of these special order features would have significantly added to the overall price of this rifle." CONDITION: stainless steel bbl. has been drilled & tapped for long base scope with no traces of Japan black except in bbl. address letters. Receiver has 60% original bright blue with sharp edge wear turning silver. Forend is highly figured deluxe walnut with H style checkering slightly flattened. Buttstock has extra H style checkering with pistol grip cap & 4 extra panels. Raised cheekpiece has possibly been slightly reshaped with refinishing. Steel shotgun buttplate is mostly silver. Lower marking is found on top flat under rear sight. Top flat marked "OLD RELIABLE / SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT, CONN." Dbl. set triggers. Schnabel forend walnut stock with curved steel butt. Weight 11 lbs. 7.3 oz. Rifle belonged to same owner as the following Colt SAA, Lot 3023A. Included with the Colt is an ammo belt designed to hold cartridges for this rifle and the revolver. CONDITION: patina metal with scattered light pitting having series of sm. knicks behind rear sight. Forearm has worn finish with heavy handling marks.
