Welcome from Cozy Cove Resort! Cozy Cove Resort is located on Marion Lake near Perham, Minnesota. The owner was born in Lincoln, grew up on Oakland, and graduated from Midland College. His family had season tickets for football and he was court side when Herschell Turner and Albert Maxey defeated Wilt Chamberlain and the Kansas Jayhawks. The cabins range from 1-5 bedrooms. They are completely equipped stove, refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, glasses/ cups, dishes, silverware, coffee pot, TV/ VCR for movies, Weber grill and picnic table. All bedrooms are air conditioned. The cabins are decorated based on a theme. They have a fisherman’s cabin, two sports cabins and a John Wayne cabin. Obviously, cabin one is the Husker cabin. The newest cabin is the Big Red Max cabin named after David Max from Husker Max who fishes at Cozy Cove 2-3 weeks per year. Your cabin will be based upon what we have available for the week you select. We will be open this year until September 26, 2015. A free 14-ft. skiff comes with the cabin and they rent 8-HP and 15-HP outboard motors, or you can bring your own motor up to 25-HP. We also rent pontoon boats. The lake 1,664 acres and up to 70 feet deep. It is fed by seven springs so it stays cold all summer and you catch crappie in August. The primary species are walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, blue gill and bullheads. The lake is very clear and clean, so swimming and skiing are very popular. Frazier led his team to consecutive national championships in 1994 and 1995, and is one of five quarterbacks to have done so since the 1950s: Oklahoma's Steve Davis, Nebraska's Jerry Tagge, USC's Matt Leinart, Alabama's A.J. "The 47-catch season in 2014 gave Bell at least 30 receptions in each of his four years with the Huskers, a first for Nebraska players. Bell also became the first player in school history to lead Nebraska in receptions four consecutive seasons. Bell also had a team-high six touchdown receptions in 2014, increasing his career TD total to 21, good for third on the Nebraska career list. Bell caught a pass in each of the final 28 games of his career, the third-longest streak in school history. He also owns the fourth-longest streak with a 23-game stretch earlier in his career, and caught at least one pass in 51 of his final 52 games. Appearing 23 times and starting 10 games, Duensing pitched his way to an 8-0 season with a 3.00 ERA. He was at his best against Oklahoma State on April 3, picking up his fifth win of the season in a complete-game shutout. He notched six strikeouts and allowed only three hits in the victory. Duensing finished the season with 52 strikeouts and 84 innings pitched, earning honorable mention All-Big 12 and first team Academic All-Big 12 honors. Duensing was a college teammate of New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain and Kansas City Royals left fielder Alex Gordon at the University of Nebraska. Gordon played every game of his final two seasons at NU and closed his career with 171 consecutive starts.
