John Deere Short Lever Manure Spreader with Original Paint & Decals

Lot # 5 (Sale Order: 6 of 350)      

Offered is a circa 1950 John Deere short lever manure spreader. The toy is made of pressed steel and has its original green and yellow paint with the original decals. The tires are rubber and both rims are metal; the wheels rotate, and the beaters turn when one of the handles is engaged. This 1/16 scale spreader is approximately 8-1/2" x 4" x 3-1/4" (not counting the length of the tongue). The spreader's front tongue is original and the rivet that holds it on has separated; we did not want to replace or repair it and have included both pieces as received. Pendleton Woolen Mills Sign

Offered is an original sign for Pendleton Woolen Mills in Portland, Oregon. The sign dates from sometime after 1956, as this is when the company obtained its registered trademark for the design and used the wording displayed on this sign. The sign is approximately 26-1/2" wide x 13-3/4" tall and is made of hardboard with a painted face. This sign has a single nail hole top center that is not original and is slightly off center. Pendleton Woolen Mills is recognized worldwide as a symbol of American heritage and craftsmanship and still operates mills and factories in Oregon and Washington....more

Marklin 7.7 MM Field Gun

Woman's Gold and Diamond Ring

Columbia River Caramel Agate Arrowhead

Lot # 14 (Sale Order: 15 of 350)      

Offered is a Columbia River Broad Head arrowhead found at the Wakemap Mound site in Washington. The arrowhead is approximately 1-5/16" x 1-1/16" and is made from multi-colored caramel agate. This artifact or point was found by Frank Buehler, founding member of the Oregon Archaeological Society (OAS). His artifacts were found from the 1930s through the 1960s at OAS dig sites in the region. Buehler was a well-known and respected amateur archeologist, historian, and collector, and all the artifacts from his collection we are offering have not been offered for public sale before....more

Byng titled, "Old Home Town," features businesses in a town, including several movie theaters, The Salvation Army, a department store, a meat market, a newspaper, etc. The top of the poster shows a train passing through town, as well as horse-drawn fire wagons and police patrols. This is an original drawing and shows Byng's pencil lines, erases, and marker runs from water damage. There are tack holes in the corners and tape in several places along the edges.
