GM Fabrication Laser Precision Robotic Cell Machine for Welding (17,000 Lbs)

Lot # 971102

This Robotic Cell Machine is being sold to recover funds for the insurance company after a claim was filed as it was hit by a freight train during transport.
  • Product: 17,500 lb box or cell that houses high precision, light tight/sound tight robotic equipment.
  • There are gears and wires which perpetuate a carousel/ferris type operation inside the cell/box.
  • This cell/box is used in conjunction with two others to build three parts for the new Enclave for General Motors.
  • There is no other equipment of this type in existence and the damaged unit cannot be activated without the other two units.
  • Qty: 1 unit.
  • During the insurance company's visual inspection, it was noted that the frame was bent and the unit was no longer air tight or light tight which is required due to its high precision laser operation.
  • Application/ use: It was to be used in conjunction with two other cells to build three parts for the new Enclave to debut this Summer.
  • * Please see pictures to see more details-
  • Bent frame on precision piece of equipment.
  • Buckling on parts of precision machine that is no longer "light tight".
  • Gaps - nothing is square or tight fitting anymore.
  • This bearing has come out of the sleeve - It should have been inside the sleeve up to the white marks.
  • Two hi-lows and crane were used to offload and move the equipment.
  • Note: Bid acceptance is pending seller's review. Seller has the right to reject all bids.
