Each has paper mache shoulder head with black sculpted hair in an elaborate coiffure, painted features, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs, painted orange flat shoes. Including smaller doll with very full ringlet curl clusters at each side of face and a chignon at the back of head, wearing original muslin body and undergarments. And larger doll with her hair looped smoothly over each ear and captured in a tightly-coiled braided chignon, wearing original (worn and spotted) costume and undergarments.
