By participating in Hertel’s Coins auction hosted by Proxibid, Bidders and Buyers (hereinafter may be referred to as “auction participants”) agree to all terms set forth by Hertel’s Coins. Item(s) are sold "AS IS", "WHERE IS" with no guarantees of any kind except for the “genuineness” or authenticity of the item(s). For the purpose of our auction and descriptions provided “genuineness”, or authenticity, of an item is defined as Hertel’s Coins (hereinafter may be referred to as “we” or “us”), if applicable to an item, ensure we correctly list the appropriate denomination, that item is made of the metal the item is to be made of , and minted by the proper minting authority in the year stamped on the item. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Credit card chargebacks will NOT be accepted, no exceptions. As it relates to item “grading”, each person, or auction participant, has their own opinion as to the “grade” of an item. Grading is a subjective description in the opinion of the cataloguer, Hertel’s Coins or third party grading service. It is the responsibility of auction participant to examine and grade (or self-grade) and determine condition and value of item, if desired by auction participant, to their own satisfaction and determination, before bidding on an item. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY RETURNS OR PROVIDE REFUNDS TO BUYER ON THE BASIS OF GRADE FOR ANY ITEM INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO COINS, PAPER MONEY OR OTHER ITEMS THAT AN AUCTION PARTICIPANT MAY grade or self-grade. Auction participant shall enter into this purchase agreement by relying solely on their own personal inspection and information. Auction participants are solely responsible for their bids and knowing which item they are bidding on in the auction. We are not responsible for inaccurate bids made by auction participants. Once an auction participant has won an item, auction participant effectuates a contract with us to purchase item(s) and is expected to pay for item(s) won in auction. RETURNS: BUYER may request a return & refund within 3 days of receipt of item in the event that item is not authentic, but NOT on the basis of grade (as stipulated above). Professionally graded items will NOT ever qualify for a return (this includes items graded by PCGS, PMG, NGC, ANACS or ICG; or other recognized professional grading service companies). Based on this understanding, should BUYER still wish to initiate a return request, BUYER agrees to follow these instructions: 1. BUYER must notify us, in writing via electronic communication (hereinafter referred to as “e-mail”) to coinguy60@comcast.net. BUYER’S e-mail must include the following: Detailed reason for return, Item description as provided for in auction, value paid of item (not including Buyer’s premium or shipping charges which are NOT refundable). 2. We will respond to BUYER’S request for return within 3 days in writing via e-mail to confirm receipt of BUYER’S return request. 3. BUYER will respond in writing via e-mail providing the following information within 3 days of receipt of our email confirming receipt of BUYER’S return request: Shipping service selected by BUYER (USPS, UPS or FedEx) & tracking number provided by selected shipping service. BUYER is solely responsible for return shipping fees and appropriate shipping insurance for any item purchased for in the amount of $100 or more). Should BUYER’S package be lost in shipping & BUYER chooses not to purchase insurance on package, BUYER forfeits any refunds that may have been provided by us. 4. We will send BUYER receipt of delivery via “e-mail” upon item being delivered & received by us. Items will be inspected and so long as the original item shipped to BUYER is the exact item returned to us, and said item is returned in the same holder and condition as they were sold to BUYER, BUYER will qualify for a refund on purchase price of item ONLY less a 15% restocking fee (minimum restocking fee is $10.00). Note, shipping charges billed to BUYER on original invoice are NOT refundable. BUYER’S premium is NOT refundable. Hertels Coins guarantees the authenticity of coins or other items being auctioned, but in no way guarantees the condition or grade of an item being auctioned regardless of any subjective opinion put forth by Hertels Coins or Buyer or Buyer’s 3rd party. It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to be the judge of the coin or items grade/condition in our online auction.
