***Auction Highlight*** 1797 1 Above 1 C-11 Liberty Cap half cent 1/2c Graded vf30 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 477 (Sale Order: 401 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** 1797 1 Above 1 C-11 Liberty Cap half cent 1/2c Graded vf30 By SEGS. Manley Die State 4.0. A fairly late die state with multiple obverse die...more cracks and a swollen field near the cap. The medium brown surfaces are fairly smooth, with some roughness, more so on the obverse. Regardless of the variety, few high quality half cents of 1797 are known. In fact, just 11 Uncirculated 1797 half cents (of any variety) listed in Walter Breen's Encyclopedia of United States Half Cents. Although that reference was published two decades ago, and much has changed in the numismatic scene since that time, the information contained therein still provides a good general indication of the importance of such pieces. On the 1797 1 Above 1 variety, when the die was made, the date was first started too high, crowding the bust of Liberty. Attempts were made to remove the errant date before repunching the digits in their correct position. Nearly the entire digit 1 remains visible from the original date, in the space above the final digit 1. Remnants of the other digits are also visible. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away Coin

Lot # 479 (Sale Order: 403 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** PCGS Very Scarce US 25c Fractional Currency 3rd Issue Fiber Paper FR 1298 Graded cu63 By PCGS. 0 Fractional or postage currency has a rich hi...morestory. At the beginning of the Civil War people starting hoarding coins for their precious metal content. Coins became difficult to find because of the hoarding. People started to try to use stamps instead of coins as a means of commerce. The government decided to help ease the hoarding issue by issuing “paper coins” also known as postage currency or fractional currency. Fractional currency was first issued on August 21, 1862 and they were last issued on February 15, 1876. Three cents, five cents, ten cents, twenty-five cents, and fifty cents notes were all issued. Fractional currency is physically smaller than other United States money. It also does not have a serial number.

***Auction Highlight*** 1851-c Charlotte Gold Dollar $1 Graded ms61 By SEGS

Lot # 480 (Sale Order: 404 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** 1851-c Charlotte Gold Dollar $1 Graded ms61 By SEGS. The 1851-C has the highest mintage of any Charlotte gold dollar issue, yet the product...moreion of its 1851 Philadelphia cousin was more than 80 times greater. The '51-C is scarce in all grades, and becomes rare in nice mint condition. This impressive Mint State specimen offers a vastly superior strike with crisp details in Miss Liberty’s hair and lustrous orange-gold surfaces that are lightly marked for the grade.

***Auction Highlight*** 1893-p TOP POP! Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms62+ DMPL By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 502 (Sale Order: 425 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** 1893-p TOP POP! Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms62+ DMPL By SEGS. Up for Auction is a true Numismatic Rarity. An 1893-p Morgan in DMPL. Its one ...morething to come across a numismatic rarity in a niche type series, but to come across it in one of, if not the most widely collected series is incredible. I have never seen a DMPL in 1893 in all my years in numismatics. I could not believe it when it came upon my eyes. The Mirrored fields are just that. True Mirrors. Please closely examine the closeup mirror pics. The Cameo is superb. To Quote PCGS “Availability of proof like coins: True proof like coins are rare, and DMPL coins are exceedingly rare. Only a few exist.” To further quote them “Proof like coins: Proof like coins are very rare, and DMPL pieces are exceedingly rare.” In fact they are so rare, that in the Wholesale dealer Greysheet, no 1893-p in DMPL is even listed! PCGS estimates that 12 PL examples exist. Our coin is NO PL, it is a DMPL with sharp deep mirrors. PCGS has only ever graded 7 coins as PL, none above 62 PL. In DMPL PCGS has only ever graded 4 coins DMPL, again none above ms62 DMPL . I am including pictures of the lone ms61 dmpl and lone ms62 dmpl to go to auction. They sold for $14,950 and $14,375. One in 2008 and one in 2005. None at auction in the last 12 years….UNTIL Tonight. I will also add that the lone ms62 DMPL, was in an OGH, Old Green Holder, and as any long time coin person will tell you, PCGS’s standards for PL and DMPL years ago, when they used the Old Green Holder was much less strict than today. I am 100% certain that that ms62 DMPL if graded today would not get DMPL, it might not even get PL. Trends on an ms62 DMPL is $25,000. I do believe you are looking at the single finest known 1893-p DMPL. I wish you good fortune and good luck in securing this once in a lifetime opportunity. It has been a true pleasure to be its caretaker this past month A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
