Krieghoff Model 32 4-Barrel Skeet Set

Lot # 122 (Sale Order: 126 of 842)      

Krieghoff Model 32 4-Barrel Skeet Set, #3079. All four pairs of 28" separated barrels feature ventilated ribs with target beads, 3" chambers, and Skt/Skt chokes. The action is based upon the previous Remington Model 32 which ceased production after WWII, and features a single selective trigger, inoperative safety, very fast lock time, and auto ejectors. The receiver appears to have been elaborately engraved at a later date with game scenes on left and right sides, plus extensive scroll engraving on sides, bottom, trigger guard, top tang and opening lever. The beavertail forend with finger grooves and the pistol grip buttstock with hydro-coil recoil absorption feature are of high-gloss "C" Grade dark European walnut, with Whiteline grip cap and butt pad, and featuring full checkering on the forend with skipline checkering on the grip. Stock dimensions are 14.75"x1-5/8"x2". Original 12 ga. gun and barrel made in June 1967, with 20 ga. in late '67, 28 and .410 barrels made in early '68. Gun with all barrels is contained in a very nice brown Naugahyde case. Condition is near excellent showing little wear to all working parts, almost no marks to wood, and correct operation of action; bores are all bright. Est.: $4,500-$5,500. (C&R/PPT)

The action is standard Superposed and features a single selective trigger, non-automatic safety, and auto ejectors. The receiver has standard Browning engraving. The slender forend and round knob pistol grip buttstock are high-gloss "A" Grade walnut, with an original Browning buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14.25"x1.5"x2". Mfg'd 1967 at FN in Belgium. Remington Model 1100 Semi-Automatic Shotgun, previously owned by Shooting Champion and Actor Robert Stack, #538221V. 12 ga. 28" vent rib barrel has 2-3/4" chamber, is choked Mod., and has a muzzlebrake installed. Action is standard gas-operated 1100. Forend is standard 1100, with pressed checkering and Dymo label "Stack" affixed. Buttstock is aftermarket custom, with fancy high-gloss walnut, leatherette rollover Monte Carlo cheekpiece, nice checkering, black grip cap and Pachmayr "Whiteline" Skeet model recoil pad. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2"x1-5/8"x1-7/8". Originally mfg'd 1968. River Patrol Force decal on righthand side of stock. Condition is good to very good, as used but not abused by a skilled target shooter. Winchester Model 23 XTR Pigeon Grade Side-by-Side Shotgun, #PWK20122. 20 ga. 26" vent rib barrels have target beads, 3" chambers, and are choked IC./Mod. The boxlock action has double underlug lockup and features a single selective mechanical trigger, automatic safety, and auto ejectors. The coin-finished receiver features rolled scroll engraving, with a standing pigeon on the bottom. The beavertail forend and round-knob pistol grip buttstock are of high-grade "C" Grade walnut, with extensive checkering and a black plastic Whiteline buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14-1/4"x1-1/2"x2-1/2". Made by Nikko in Japan for Winchester, approx. 1980. Condition is excellent showing little use. There are few handling marks to the wood and little wear to the action which closes very tight and functions correctly; bores are mirror bright. A great gun for Upland birds or Skeet. Weatherby Regency Model Field Grade Over/Under Shotgun, #R01388. 20 ga. 28" vent rib barrels have 3" chambers and are choked IC./Mod. The boxlock action locks up via a Kersten crossbolt, and features a single selective mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety, and selective ejectors. The receiver has sideplates mounted, all in coin finish, with complete coverage of floral scrolls and "Weatherby Regency" in gold on the bottom; engraving done by engraver "F.S.". The finger-groove forend and pistol grip buttstock are of high-gloss "C" Grade "tiger stripe" European walnut, with distinctive Weatherby White Diamond wooden grip cap and Whiteline recoil pad. Extensive checkering done at 18 LPI. Stock dimensions are 14"x1-5/8"x2-1/2". Gun comes with original shipping box. Mfg'd 1990. Condition is very good to near excellent with few handling marks to wood, bright color to receiver, and little wear to action, which closes very tight and functions correctly. Mfg'd 1926. Rifle is in near excellent overall condition as refinished, retaining 98%-99% of an old quality reblued finish, with scattered pinprick pitting under the finish, primarily along the barrel. Factory markings remain sharp. Stock is excellent with an extra coat of varnish added during the period of use. Butt ends with a ribbed steel buttplate providing a 13.5" LOP. Savage Model 1899H Lever Action Rifle, #80385, .25-35 WCF cal., 20" featherweight barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock, pinned German silver blade front and Savage No. 21 adjustable V-notch rear sights, color case hardened lever and assembly, brass cartridge counter, period Lyman adjustable peep sight added at the rear of the receiver, Schnabel forend, and sharp factory markings. Mfg'd 1907. Rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining 90%-95% thinning factory finish, with light wear at the muzzle, small marks along the barrel, and highpoint edgewear. Receiver shows toning finish with light scratches and edgewear. Front ring is drilled and tapped with two vacant holes. Lever and assembly display vivid color case hardening, particularly in protected areas. Stock is very good with numerous indentations, scratches and handling marks associated with field activities. There is some crackling of the finish on the right side behind the receiver. Butt ends with a checkered hard rubber buttplate with the "SAVAGE QUALITY" marking and brave's head emblem providing a 13" LOP. Bottom end of the buttplate is broken, approx. 1" of the plate is missing with a tiny chip at the toe. Additionally, there is tape residue around the butt that should clean. Bore is bright with well-defined rifling. Action is crisp and locks up securely on this early Savage, desirable in the .25-35 Winchester chambering. Est.: $1,000-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)**

Mfg'd 1917. Rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining 90%-92% thinning factory finish, with light wear at the muzzle, small marks along the barrel, and highpoint edgewear. Receiver shows scratches and edgewear with the majority of the loss of finish occurring on the bottom metal, which is drifting to gray patina. Lever and assembly display vivid color case hardening, particularly in protected areas. Stock is fine with light indentations and handling marks associated with field activities. Butt ends with a checkered hard rubber buttplate with the "SAVAGE QUALITY" marking and brave's head emblem providing a 13.25" LOP. Bore is bright with well-defined rifling. Right side of stock with Savage Arms medallion. Sights include a brass-plated blade and folding elevator rear sight. Sides of the receiver with scroll engraving, left side is marked "Savage Arms", right side "Model 1895". Includes the original matching numbered box with polychrome sleeve, commemorative manual, hang tag, and other misc. factory paperwork. Condition is excellent. Approx. 99%+ factory blue remains. Brass is a little tarnished in a few spots. Wood appears like new. Action is crisp and operates smoothly, bore is bright with excellent rifling. Possibly unfired. SEDGLEY, INC. PHILA. PA. U.S.A." barrel address. Topped with rings and a Lyman Alaskan fixed 2.5x rifle scope finished in gloss black with a single post reticle, providing clear and bright optics. Rifle is in near excellent overall condition, retaining 90%-95% thinning finish, with wear at the muzzle, under the banded front sight and along the barrel. Receiver and bottom metal show only minor handling marks. Stock is near excellent with a Schnabel forend, horn grip cap and pancake cheekpiece. Stock shows light indentations and minor storage marks. Butt ends with a diamond checkered blue steel Winchester style buttplate providing a 13.75" LOP. Bright bore is very good with well-defined rifling. Action functions smoothly with a crisp trigger. Reginald F. Sedgley was one of the pre-eminent American gunsmiths of the 20th Century, beginning in 1897 and continuing until his death in 1938. His rifles were considered the equal of his contemporaries like Griffin & Howe and Hoffman Arms, among others. Rifle is in near excellent overall condition, retaining 94%-95% thinning factory finish, with light marks and scattered spots of erosion. Receiver shows lightening and thinning finish with modest edgewear. Bottom metal and trigger guard displays light edgewear and scattered spots of light corrosion. Stock is near excellent with indentations and light marks. Butt ends with a smooth steel buttplate, with widow's peak providing a 14" LOP to the front trigger. Bore is good with even light erosion and strong rifling. Action functions smoothly and locks up securely. Limited in production to approx. 4,000 rifles. Charles Newton was a pioneer of American Sporting rifles who had unfortunate timing, attempting to introduce his new line of rifles in the middle of WWI. Rifle is in near excellent overall condition, retaining 96%-97% blue finish, with light scratches and handling marks consistent with field use. Bottom metal and trigger guard show loss of finish and edgewear. Barrel address features Jaeger's post-war address "PAUL JAEGER-JENKINTOWN, PA." Custom steel grip cap is also marked "JAEGER CUSTOM". Stock is near excellent with indentations, compressions, and a deeper bruise on the left side at the bolt release. Stock features a slim contour with a beaded cheekpiece and fine checkering. (9.3x64), 24" barrel, blue finish, finely checkered English walnut one-piece pistol grip stock, horn forend and grip caps, barrel and sling swivels, commercial Mauser action, banded blade brass tipped blade front and 5-leaf folding Express sights, Buehler scope mounts added, contoured bolt handle, two-position safety, legible factory markings, barrel marked "Specially made for Chas. A. Heyer & Co., Nairobi". Mfg'd 1930-1931. Rifle is in fine overall condition as refinished, retaining 96%-97% of an old quality re-blue, with light handling marks. There is light pitting under the finish on the magazine base plate. Left side of the front ring features the Mauser "BUG" and "N" over crown proofs. The caliber marking has been re-stamped on the left side of the barrel at the breech, ".375 x 64". Bolt handle has been bent to accommodate scope mounting. Stock is fine with sharp checkering, outstanding mineral streaking, and a beaded cheekpiece. Butt ends with a black spacer and red solid rubber Pachmayr pad providing a 13.75" LOP. Czech BRNO Model 21 Mauser Bolt Action Sporting Rifle, #34874, 7x57 cal., 23" barrel, blue finish, finely checkered custom English walnut pistol grip stock, front and rear sights with vacant dovetails, barrel band sling swivels, replaced bolt handle contoured for optics. Topped with Conetrol two-piece bases, rings, and a Leupold Mountaineer fixed 4X rifle scope in gloss black, with a fine wire reticle providing clear and bright optics. Mfg'd 1946-1956. Rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining 97%-98% factory finish, with light handling marks only. There are Czechoslovakian proofs on the left side of the barrel and receiver. Left side of the barrel is also marked "MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA". Stock is finely checkered English walnut with an ebony forend tip, grip cap and beaded cheekpiece. Stock displays outstanding mineral streaking, fit and finish. Butt ends with a black spacer and Pachmayr solid rubber recoil pad providing a 13-5/8" LOP. Topped with Conetrol two-piece bases and rings with a Weaver K4-1 fixed-power rifle scope finished in matte blue, with a duplex reticle providing clear and crisp optics. Mfg'd 1946-1974. Rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining 97%-98% factory finish, with light handling and storage marks only. Factory markings are sharp with Czechoslovakian proofs on the left side of the barrel at the breech. RIght side of the rear bridge is marked "MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA". The custom stock is finely checkered Claro walnut with ebony forend tip, Fischer style grip cap and outstanding mineral streaking with fiddle back figure. Custom Hillsdon & Hillsdon Farquharson Single Shot Rifle, #3063, .243 Krag cal., 24" barrel, blue finish, finely checkered custom English walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, no sights, barrel-mounted scope bases, and tang-mounted safety; receiver shows sharp border engraving, engraved screw heads and English view mark. Rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining 98%-99% of an old, quality refinish, with light handling and storage marks only. Barrel is marked "RCBS" just ahead of the front sight base and was likely completed in their custom shop. The finely checkered Claro walnut stock is in excellent condition and displays horn forend tip, grip cap, and pancake cheekpiece with outstanding mineral streaking, fit and finish. Butt ends with a color case hardened checkered steel buttplate providing a 13.75" LOP. Bore is minty bright and the action functions well, locking up securely. C.E. Hillsdon began his gunsmithing operations in Sussex, England in 1888. The company ceased trading in 1986. Farquharson Falling Block Single Shot Rifle, NVSN, .30-40 Krag Improved cal., 23.25" RCBS marked barrel, blue finish, finely checkered two-piece California Claro walnut pistol grip stock, exotic wood forend tip, Fischer style blue steel grip cap, deluxe sling swivels, quarter rib, border engraved receiver, factory markings are clear, marked "WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co./LONDON" on left side receiver. Topped with a custom mount on the quarter rib, rings, and early Leupold M8-4x fixed-power rifle scope in gloss black, with a fine wire reticle providing clear and bright optics. Scope is in very good condition having gone completely to a plum color. Rifle is in excellent overall condition as refinished, retaining 98%-99% of an excellent rust blued finish. Receiver displays sharp border engraving and clean screw heads. Rifle was re-barreled during the period of use by Jack Ellis of RCBS in the early 1960's and is marked "RCBS" as a result. According to the consigner, the stock was built by noted stock maker, N.B. Fashingbauer of Lac Du Flambeau, Wisc., with a California Claro walnut blank provided by the owner. Stock is in excellent condition with fine checkering, exotic wood forend tip, beaded cheekpiece and steel grip cap. Butt ends with a black spacer and red Old English solid rubber recoil pad providing a 13.5" LOP. Bore is near excellent with well-defined rifling, Action functions well and locks up securely. Topped with a custom mount on the rifle's quarter rib with rings and a Leupold VARI-X III 1.5x5 variable-power rifle scope in gloss black, with a duplex reticle providing clear and bright optics. Rifle is in near excellent overall condition as refinished, retaining 97%-98% of an old quality re-blued finish, with light scratches and handling marks. There is old scattered fine pinprick pitting under the new finish on both sides of the receiver. Receiver shows fine border engraving, decorative surrounds for the screw heads, and crisp address on the right side. Stock is excellent with fine checkering, exotic wood forend cap, blue steel grip cap, exaggerated beaded cheekpiece and outstanding feather crotch figure throughout the length of the stock. Butt ends with a Decelerator black rubber recoil pad providing a 13.75" LOP. Bore is bright with well-defined rifling, action functions well and locks up securely. W.J. Outstanding Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Sporting Rifle, #545124, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, checkered walnut one-piece Monte Carlo stock, blue finish, hooded steel bead blade front and folding rear sights, receiver is factory drilled and tapped with screws in the tap holes, sling swivels and a hinged internal box magazine. Lot includes the original Winchester two-piece cardboard box with matching yellow end label, instruction manual, hang tags and associated packaging materials. Mfg'd 1962. Rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining 99%+ factory finish, showing little, if any use. Sharp factory markings with crisp Winchester "WP" proofs stamped on the barrel and front ring and the bolt etched with the matching serial number. Stock is excellent with sharp checkering. Butt ends with a correct checkered plastic buttplate providing a 13-5/8" LOP. Action is crisp, bore is minty bright and has been fired very little.
