Winchester Model 1890 3rd Model Slide-Action Rifle

Winchester Model 1890 3rd Model Slide-Action Rifle, #684166, .22 WRF cal., 24" octagonal barrel, blue finish, straight grip walnut stock and 12-groove forend, crescent steel buttplate, dovetailed beaded blade front sight, and U-notch rear sight with elevation adjustment. Matching numbers on lower tang and bottom of the receiver. Winchester proof marks are present on top of barrel and receiver. Front edge of the receiver is stamped "W.R.F". Mfg'd 1923. Condition is very good. Approx. 85%-90% factory blue remains on the barrel and receiver. Magazine tube retains little finish, except in protected areas, and has a primarily brown patina. Octagon barrel shows normal light edgewear, address is clear. Receiver with mild patches of pitting and rust patina, frosting and thinning to the trigger guard and lower tang. There is a small amount of normal light handling marks present on the forend. Finish shows thinning from handling and use. Buttstock with scattered small to medium-sized dents and scratches, wood-to-metal fit is very good. Action is crisp and operates smoothly. Bore is primarily bright with a few small visible spots of erosion; rifling is very good. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)

Rare Winchester Model 65 Lever Action Rifle

Rare Winchester Model 65 Lever Action Rifle, #1004957, .218 Bee cal., 24" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, replacement white dot blade front sight in the original factory dovetail, replacement Marble's semi-buckhorn rear sight in the original dovetail, sling swivels removed and the holes left vacant, clear factory markings with sharp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front ring. Mfg'd 1941. Rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining 40%-50% thinning factory finish, with the barrel and button magazine going to an even gray patina, and traces of original finish towards the breech. Receiver shows considerable toning original finish with edgewear and light scattered erosion as the remainder drifts to lighter patina. Bottom metal has gone to gray patina with original finish on the lever, loading gate and in the protected areas. Bolt has two holes where a bolt peep was removed during the period of use. Stock is very good with indentations, scrapes and mars associated with carry and use. There is some darker oil staining around the receiver and tang. Wood-to-metal fit is very good. Buttstock ends with a checkered steel shotgun buttplate with correct widow's peak showing some light staining around the perimeter, providing a 13" LOP. Bore is good showing wear with light scattered corrosion and defined rifling. Action functions well and locks up securely. The Model 65 was mfg'd from 1933-1947 with only 5,704 produced. Antique Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, 3rd Model, #185040B, .22 Short RF cal., 26" round barrel marked with maker's name and address, "King's Improvement1860-66 patent dates on top, has pull-out .22 mag tube beneath. Receiver has sliding dustcover, brass lifter marked "22 Cal./Short" and "Model 1873" on top tang. Stocks of oiled walnut have a steel nose cap and crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1885. Condition is good to very good, the steel surfaces having been cleaned of moderate to heavy erosion to gray gunmetal with good edges and markings. Evans Lever Action Sporting Rifle, NVSN, .44 Evans CF cal., 30" round barrel, block-blade front and sliding ladder rear sights marked "Evans Repeating Rifle, Mechanic Falls, ME. Pat. Dec. 8, 1868 & Sep. 16, 1871 U.S.A." on top. Distinctive 18.75" receiver has serpentine trigger guard/lever that feeds cartridges from the rear-loading 28-rd. internal revolving magazine and right-side automatic ejection port. Walnut forend has diamond checkering and Schnabel nose; matching 2-piece buttstock has a curved buttplate with loading port. Mfg'd with blued finish by firms in NYC and Boston after the Evans Co.'s bankruptcy in Dec. 1879. Condition is good retaining perhaps 40% thinning/darkening blue with good edges and markings. Stocks are sound showing scattered generally light use marks with a couple gouges at left forend and fine checkering. Action is smooth, bore shows overall moderate erosion and very good rifling. Winchester Model 53 Lever Action Rifle, #983325, .25-20 WCF cal., 22" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock, factory dovetailed steel bead blade front and standard elevator semi-buckhorn rear sights, button magazine, clear factory markings with Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front ring. Mfg'd 1927. Rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining 40%-50% thinning blue finish, drifting to an even gray patina, with wear at the muzzle and along the barrel. There are scattered spots of pinprick pitting at the left side of the muzzle. Receiver shows considerable original finish turning to darker patina with light surface erosion and minor staining evident. Bottom metal is gray patina with the lever and loading gate showing original finish. Stock is very good with indentations and bruising. Wood-to-metal fit is very good with some dark staining around the edges of the ribbed steel buttplate, providing a 13" LOP. Mfg'd 1941. Rifle is in near excellent overall condition as refinished, retaining 98%-99% of an old quality reblue. There are minor handling marks and some old pinprick pitting on the right side of the receiver, under the new finish. Stock is near excellent, having been shortened during the period of use, showing light scratches and handling marks. Rear sling swivel has been removed and left vacant. Special Order Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Takedown Rifle, #958185, .32 WCF cal., 24" octagon barrel with half-length magazine, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock, brass tipped blade front and replacement standard elevator rear sights, clear factory markings with sharp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front ring, and good takedown assembly. Mfg'd 1926. Rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining 75%-80% thinning factory finish on the barrel and magazine, with thinning finish, edgewear and sharp edges. Rear sight is a later unmarked replacement. Receiver has gone to gray patina with traces of original finish in the protected areas and on the loading gate. The takedown collar shows light dents and knackering, particularly on the left side. Left side of the receiver has a couple extra holes from an old aperture sight, filled with tap screws. Stock is very good with indentations and deeper scratches, especially the right side. Wrist and tang areas show darker with old oil staining, while the wood-to-metal fit is good. Butt ends with smooth steel crescent carbine style buttplate showing light surface rust and erosion, providing a 12.75" LOP. Stock is very good showing considerable sanding and has taken on a mottled appearance. Butt ends with a black spacer and ribbed H&R marked solid rubber recoil pad providing a 13.75" LOP. U.S. Army Ordnance Marked Remington Model 11 Semi-Automatic Riot Shotgun, #463230, 12 ga., 20" barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, light roll engraved receiver with game scenes, steel bead front sight, sling swivels, chambered for 2-3/4" shells and Cylinder choked, clear factory markings with additional U.S. Army Ordnance Flaming Bomb emblems on the barrel and left side of the receiver, left rear of the receiver marked "PCCD". Mfg in August of 1942. Shotgun is in very good overall condition, retaining 85%-90% thinning factory finish, with scratches and scuffs along the barrel. Receiver shows edgewear and toning finish beginning to drift to patina. Bottom metal shows thinning finish and edgewear, along with the trigger guard. Stock is very good with minor indentations, scuffs and small marks, showing no visible cartouches. Butt ends with a ribbed Bakelite buttplate providing a 14.25" LOP. Austrian Made Gewehr 1871 Mauser Single Shot Bolt Action Rifle, #4533P, 11.15x60(11mm Mauser) cal., 33.5" barrel, no finish, hardwood stock, inverted "V" front sight and folding leaf rear sight with V-notch. A fair condition steel cleaning rod is mounted under the barrel. Marked "I.G.Mod.71" on left side receiver rail and "OESTERR.WAFFB.GES." (Austrian Weapons Factory Ltd.) on top of barrel shank. There are crowned proof and inspection stamps on the right-side receiver and barrel. No markings on stock. Matching numbers on receiver, barrel, and bolt handle. Mismatched number on buttplate. Regimental "R.7.R/9.147" stamped on buttplate tang. Condition overall is fair with the cleaned metal showing brown toning and areas of deep pitting. The sanded and stained wood is fair with a putty repaired section behind the rear band. Dark bore rates as poor with pitting and visible rifling. Action operates stiffly but is functional. There is a faint Argentine stamp on the right-side buttstock. Matching numbers. Condition overall is good, the blued metal retaining approx. 50% finish, with wear to the nose cap and trigger guard/magazine floorplate. The bright receiver and bolt assembly have been cleaned, now in good condition, with traces of patina. Handguard has a chip to the left side, and the wood is good with scratches, dents, and impressions. Action operates smoothly, bright bore rates as good with good rifling. No visible import marks. WWII German P.38 Walther ac/45 No-Letter Semi-Automatic Pistol, with Two Magazines and Holster, #2015, 9mm, 4.9" barrel, blued finish, dark red Bakelite grooved grips, drift adjustable blade front sight and fixed rear sight with "U" notch, hammer drop safety, lanyard loop, bottom magazine release, and two (2) blued steel magazines. Magazine #1 is marked "P.38v/U" (for unhardened feed lips) on left side with a Walther "(eagle)359" on the rear spine. Magazine #2 is marked "P.38v" on the left side with a Walther "(eagle)359" on the rear spine. Condition for both is good to very good with scratches and wear to the finish. The black leather second type holster is marked "gxy 1945" and "P38" on the rear. Condition is very good to excellent with scattered scratches to the finish. All straps and fittings are intact. Pistol is marked on right side slide "(eagle)359/firing proof/(eagle)359 final inspection stamp". There are additional "(eagle)359" stamps on the left side frame and barrel and right side of the bright block. Matching numbers on frame, slide, barrel and block. No import marks. Factory markings are partially muted on the left side slide. Condition overall is very good, the re-blued metal retaining approx. 90% finish, with light wear around the muzzle, trigger bar and trigger. Grips are possible reproductions and show light use. Action, hammer drop safety, and hold open all function properly; bright bore rates as good with fair to good rifling. A hard-to-find late-war pistol with no letter code in the serial number. U.S. Remington Arms Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action Rifle, #4084481, .30-06 cal., receiver marked "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3/4084481", with an adjustable peep sight. The 24" two-groove barrel is marked "RA/(Flaming Bomb)/9-43/P". All visible parts are correct for Remington. The arsenal refinish is very good with light patina on the trigger guard and butt swivel. Stock is marked "(boxed)FJA," crossed cannons on left side and a "(circle)P" proof with the four factory symbols at magazine well. An AAO (Augusta Arsenal) is stamped on left side and partial "P" rebuild stamp are present. Wood is very good with light handling marks. Included is a reproduction M1907 sling marked "MILSCO/1944" in very good condition. Action works properly, bore is very good. No import marks. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)

Colt Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #461715, .45 ACP cal., receiver is marked with inspector eagle on the left side; the UNITED STATES PROPERTY was removed; right side with serial number. Wood diamond grips are good showing wear from use. Slide has the Colt factory markings with the logo in the center, patent dates to 1913 on the left side, and "U.S.ARMY MODEL 1911" on the right side. Front sight is missing. The 5" Springfield Armory barrel is parkerized and marked "S P". Pistol was reblued and has wear spots on top of the slide and at the grip area. Magazine is marked "34759" on the floorplate. Included is a crazed leather pouch with two very good Colt magazines, one is 7-rd. the other is 8-rd., both are Colt marked. Scarce Colt Army Model 1894 Double Action New Army Revolver, #60170, .38 cal., 6" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece grips with cartouches, half-round blade front and fixed U-notch rear sights, frame, crane, barrel and cylinder are all marked"170". Cylinder bears a "RAC" inspection mark for Rinaldo A. Carr on the inside edge, as well as at the left rear of the frame, bottom of the left grip panel and underside of the barrel. Mfg'd 1895. Revolver is in very good original condition, retaining traces of original finish in the protected areas with the remainder drifting to gray patina. There is light pinprick pitting at the left side of the muzzle, scattered surface erosion and edgewear. Grips are very good and are marked "170" in pencil on the inside of both panels. Additionally, the base of the left panel bears another "RAC" stamp. The left panel is faintly marked "1894" above an illegible cartouche. Right also bears an illegible cartouche. Butt is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1894/No. 60/170. Bore is good with light corrosion and wear showing visible rifling. Action functions well with the cylinder rotating counter-clockwise. An interesting original US Army Model 1894 that deserves further research. Est.: $800-$1,000. (Antique)

Smith & Wesson Victory Model Revolver, #V360964, .38 S&W cal., 4" pinned barrel, parkerized finish, smooth walnut two-piece grips with lanyard ring, half-round blade front and fixed square-notch rear sights, color case hardened hammer and trigger, all matching visible serial numbers and no visible import marks. Mfg'd 1942-1945. Revolver is in near fine overall condition, retaining 85%-90% parkerized military finish, with holster wear at the muzzle, along the barrel and frame. Cylinder shows leading edgewear with an index line and scattered surface erosion. Factory markings are sharp. Straps show thinning finish and minor edgewear. Grips are very good with light indentations and scratches. Butt is marked with the serial number, as are the cylinder and underside of the barrel. Bore is very good with light corrosion and well-defined rifling. Action functions well and locks up securely. Lanyard ring has a dog tag style property tag added with the revolver's information.
