Chinese Type 53 Mosin-Nagant Bolt Action Carbine, with Side Folding Bayonet

Chinese Type 53 Mosin-Nagant Bolt Action Carbine, with Side Folding Bayonet, #3201280, 7.62x54Rmm, 20.5" barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock set, hooded post front sight and adjustable tangent rear sight. A fair condition steel cleaning rod is mounted under the barrel. Bayonet is in good condition with light patina to the blade, operating and locking in place smoothly. Carbine is marked on top of receiver ring with three characters for "53 Type"/1955/26/3201280". Matching numbers on magazine floorplate, mismatched numbers on bolt and buttplate. Condition overall is good, the metal retaining approx. 80% finish, with frosting and areas of patina to the receiver, magazine, and buttplate. Front of the forend has been "duffle bag cut" under the rear barrel band and will now slide forward. Condition of the wood is otherwise good with chips and handling marks to the arsenal finish. Action operates smoothly, dark bore rates as poor with poor rifling. No visible import marks. Est.: $250-$450. (C&R/PPT)

Early Beretta Model 1934 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #G30063, .380 ACP cal., 3.38" barrel, blade front and fixed rear sights, ring hammer, high-polish blue finish, textured plastic Beretta marked two-piece grips, lanyard ring, and one unmarked magazine with finger rest. Lot includes a brown leather police style flap holster with an extra unmarked magazine. Holster is in very good condition with tight stitching and light scuffs. Pistol is post-war production as serial numbers incorporate a letter prefix after 1946. Pistol is in fine overall condition retaining 90%-92% high-polish blue finish, with holster wear at the muzzle, along the slide, and highpoint edgewear throughout. Ringed hammer shows muted color case hardening. Left rear of the frame is marked with an "RE" under a crown for Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army). There are a couple of partial proofs at the right rear of the frame, and there is a crisp "BM" in a box next to the lanyard loop. Slide is unmarked and there are no visible import marks noted. The textured plastic grips are very good and fit well. Bore is very good with strong rifling and the action functions smoothly on this post-WWII era police pistol. Est.: $700-$900. (C&R/PPT)

Lot includes a period brown leather flap holster in very good condition with tight stitching and an additional unmarked 8-rd. magazine. Pistol is in near fine overall condition, retaining 90%-92% of the black enamel finish, with holster wear, scratches and scrapes along the frame and slide. There are no visible import marks. Grips are very good showing wear, use and sharp checkering. Bore is very good with light frosting and visible well-defined rifling. Lot of Two (2) U.S. Military Dummy Training Rifles, not serialized: (1) Victory Trainer marked "VICTORY TRAINER-1942/P.D. CO" on the buttplate. Rifle has an integral rear sight cut into the wood and the bolt was not made to click. Metal shows patina and wear from use. Stock is good with surface wear from use. The M1907 leather sling is solid but with wear and scrapes. (2) WWII Trainer marked "MADE IN U.S.A./PARRIS-DUNN/CLARINDA, IOWA" on the buttplate. Rifle has the bolt that clicks when the trigger is pulled but is missing the rear sight and the stacking swivel. The blued metal is good except the left side of the receiver is brown. The unmarked stock is in excellent condition with crisp finger grooves. The M1907 leather sling is solid and marked Boyt 43. Est.: $150-$300. (No FFL Required)

Lot of Four (4) WWII German Helmets: 1) Luftwaffe (Airforce) Double Decal M-35 Helmet, with original gloss gray paint partially painted over with matte gray showing scratches, surface rust and wear on dome and exterior. Original Luftwaffe (Airforce) decal 75+% on area of original gloss paint. Original Tri-Color decal 80% with scratches and chips. Shell exterior shows splotches of matte and original gloss paint. Original leather liner is in complete moderately worn condition with some drying and flaking, has original drawstring, complete chinstrap with 'RBN' number in good condition; shell size 'ET 64' and lot number '3819'. Interior paint is very good with no dome stamp present. Has white painted name in rear of skirt "Nienhaus". 2) Luftwaffe (Airforce) Single Decal M-42 Helmet, with original textured dark field gray paint 80+% with scratches, surface rust and wear on dome and exterior. Original Luftwaffe (Airforce) decal 60+%. Original pigskin leather liner in complete very good condition, some drying and flaking, size stamps '58' in two places. Inked names "Karl Kasvoboda" and "Kan. Kramer" on liner with original drawstring. No chin strap is present. Shell size 'ET 60' and lot number '1870'. Interior paint is good, some surface rust with no dome stamp present. Overall good complete large size original helmet. 3) Luftwaffe (Airforce) M-34 Lightweight Four-Vent Helmet, with original satin dark blue paint 65+% showing wear and scrapes on top and paint spots, front has a white paper sticker "M - 1935 Luftwaffe 85.00". Original Luftwaffe (Airforce) decal 60+% on left side, Tri-Color National shield decal is 85% complete on right side with some patina. Most of original leather liner and dome pad are present in very good condition, with ink size stamp "58" and illegible stamp on top pad, Chinstrap is missing. Another paper tag is tied to liner hole "M - 1935 Luftwaffe 85.00". 4) Heer (Army) No Decal M-35 Helmet, with repainted shell and interior in green paint 80% with minor rust and scratches. Both sides look to have decals painted over with non-matching paint at a later time. Original wartime leather liner has been reinstalled in complete worn condition, some dryness with non-original drawstring present. Large '56' in a circle stamped on liner. Repainting has obscured size and lot stamps - no other markings present. Est: $600-$800/Lot.

Helmet looks to be ground dug, painted semi-gloss black with painted over rust pits on exterior and interior. Paint is approx. 80% with dents, scuffs and scratches present. Police bordered decal 80+% on right side, original Party shield decal on left side 80+%, both applied over repainted rusty shell. No liner or attachment hooks are present, no other interior stamps or markings. 2) M-34 Lightweight Double-Vented FeuerSchutzpolizei No Decal Helmet, with black paint 40% intact, showing rust, scratches and wear to exterior and dome. Aluminum comb has been removed and not plugged. Right side has partial decal visible. Very good original light tan leather liner in nearly complete dry condition, no other markings visible. Foam piece is installed where dome pad would be, no drawstring, partial black leather chinstrap and fittings with repair. Est.: $200-$300/Lot.

Lot of Two (2) WWII Helmets: 1) M-35 "Beaded" Luftshutz-SHD, with satin smooth dark blue finish. Paint is approx. 95+% with minimal dents, scuffs or scratches present. Typical M 38 Luftschutz with winged silver/gold large eagle decal at front in very complete condition. Late-war original ersatz impregnated fabric liner (like oil cloth) in nearly complete condition with some tears at lacing holes. Has cork spacers where liner is attached to shell, original drawstring is present. Complete thin brown leather chinstrap remains but shows heavy wear. Interior paint is good, shell marked 'Q 66' and '31174' with no other interior stamps or markings. An excellent late-war issued paramilitary helmet. 2) M-34 Lightweight Vented "Luftschutz Warndienst" Air Raid Warning Service Single Decal Helmet, for Luftschutz branch of the Luftwaffe, retaining 98+% of matte feldgrau green paint. Original silver tint LUFTSCHUTZ decal in 94% condition. Original complete brown leather liner in worn condition with dryness and flaking, no chinstrap or drawstring. Rear of skirt has 5 punch marks in the shape of a 'T'. Research shows original green painted Luftschutz helmets are considered rare and this is an excellent example. Est.: $300-$500/Lot.

Lot of Three (3) WWII Japanese Type 90 "Tetsu-Bou" Helmets

Lot of Three (3) WWII Japanese Type 90 "Tetsu-Bou" Helmets: 1) Japanese Infantry type with star emblem on front and camo net, mfg'd by the Daido Steel Co., marked 'large' size. Exterior of shell shows very good original matte brown paint coverage 90+% complete with a few scratches at dome top and sides and vents holes at crown. What looks to be original to this helmet net cover for holding various camouflage material to shell - net is in good condition with several breaks present and a large knot at the top of dome. Original wartime pigskin leather liner is present in complete very good condition with complete cloth chin cord also in very good condition. Top of shell is marked white painted 'kanji' at dome, also at rear of skirt. Inside of shell skirt paint is nearly complete with some light rust and corrosion. 2) Japanese Infantry combat helmet with star emblem on front, mfg'd by the Kobe Steel Co., marked 'large' size. The shell constructed from chrome molybdenum steel, retaining 95% of its matte brown paint with four vent holes present. Lightly stamped along its rear interior apron is the 'kanji' character for size 'large' and some other characters are painted in the dome in black. Nice complete leather liner and cloth chin cords are present. Over the entirety of the helmet's exterior is loosely fitted the standard 2nd pattern padded cover, issued to Japanese Army troops after 1943. Its khaki-colored water-resistant cloth exterior is comprised of six machine sewn pieces, meeting at the apex of the crown and gathered along their tunnel-looped base by an adjustable tie string. A yellow wool, five-pointed IJA star and round wool backing is machine sewn to the front of the cover. Cover is in excellent condition with some scattered rust spots and has two weak ink stamps on its interior. There are some issues with its construction that appear to make the originality of the cover questionable and a reproduction. 3) Japanese Civil Defense type helmet with star emblem on front. Exterior of shell shows very good original matte brown paint coverage 90+% complete with dents in the top of the dome and a few scratches at top and sides. Each side of the exterior have large 'kangi' symbols in white paint and there is a white painted stamp in the rear of the skirt. There are numerous white paint spots over the exterior presumed from the vet's storage. Original wartime tan canvas liner comprised of a canvas liner band, four canvas fingers, drawstring and a cloth chin cord, all in excellent condition. Top of inside of shell has mild rust and corrosion. Est.: $300-$500/Lot.

Lot of Five (5) Steel Helmets:  1) U.S. Model 1917 steel shell with swiveling bales for chinstrap, leather liner has blackened interior with string and wool netting. Stamped with "ZE33" steel batch number on rim. Condition is fair, missing the crown rivet, washer, chinstrap, and padding. Shell retains approx. 40% green-painted finish showing rust and patina. Liner is fair missing part of the wool lining.  2) U.S. Model 1917 steel shell with swiveling bales for chinstrap. The crown pad and part of the broken leather chinstrap remain. Stamped with "YJ160" steel batch number on rim. Condition of the steel shell is good, retaining approx. 80% sand-infused green paint with areas of light rust and patina. The crown is poor, missing one side of the wool padding and all of the suspension system. Broken sling is poor, missing both ends.  3) East German M56/66- steel shell, with six-tongue leather liner and four point buckled chinstrap. Liner is stamped "II" over a partially visible letter. Condition is good, with scratches to the shell and darkening to the still pliable liner and chinstrap. Foam liner pads are in poor condition, dried out and crumbling.  4) German M34 Fireman's (feuerwehr) steel helmet, nine-tongue tan leather liner with crown pad and black leather chinstrap marked with size "57". There are no holes for the aluminum comb or leather neck protector and no decals attached. Condition is good, with a shallow dent to the left side and retaining approx. 50% black-painted finish showing scratches and handling marks. Liner and chinstrap are fair with cracking and aging.  5) Austrian M17 steel, with eight-tongue pig skin liner. Chinstrap buckles attached to aluminum insert. Faintly stamped "54" on crown. No decals, left tab is in place but missing main chinstrap. Condition is very good, retaining approx. 80% applied light green paint. Liner is good with stiffening and darkening. Est:$300-$500/Lot.

Paint is in 98+% complete condition with minimal dents, scuffs or scratches present. Typical M38 Luftschutz winged silver large eagle decal at front in almost mint condition. Light tan original leather liner with some small tears and has cork spacers where liner is attached to shell, original drawstring is present. Liner has '56' size stamp and 'RLM' stamped in a box. Complete wide black leather chinstrap is in place and in excellent condition. Interior paint is very good complete condition, shell marked 'NS 64' and '6183' with no other interior stamps or markings. An excellent late-war issued near mint paramilitary helmet. 2) German/Austrian M16/18 Transitional helmet, repainted in satin black paint with approx. 50% paint remaining, showing much surface rust and large rusty scratch on the dome and has two screened vents. Reissued for the Luftshutz-SHD, "LUFTSCHUTZ" with winged silver decal in approx. 95% condition at the front of the helmet along with a 'H' scratched over it. Para-military leather liner is present in dry but very good condition, no markings except inked 'H' on one tongue. Complete transitional chinstrap still remains along with liner rivets. Shell size and maker are not readable through repaint. Interior repaint shows much finish remaining. 3) German "Luftschutz Warndienst" Air Raid Warning Service Single Decal helmet, repurposed captured Dutch helmet for Luftschutz branch of the Luftwaffe, retaining 85+% of gloss black repaint. Original silver and black LUFTSCHUTZ decal in near 80% condition. Original complete black ersatz Luftschutz reinstalled liner, small pieces of chinstrap still attached. Has what appears to be a portion of a leather rear neck skirt attached to rear of liner band. Est.: $250-$400/Lot.

Original paint 50+% with scratches, chips, stains and light rust; paint has darkened with age, rust and patina. Original M-17 liner present made of leather that is very well worn, heavily damaged and dry, no drawstring present. No chinstrap is included. Interior of shell shows rust, dirt and staining. Large '66' is stenciled on left side of skirt. No other markings are visible. Interior paint is in similar condition to exterior of shell. 2) Original steel M-16/18 helmet shell, hand-painted camouflage in three colors - light tan, feldgrau green and brown over heavily rusted and corroded shell. Colors are separated by finger-wide black stripes as directed by Army General Staff directive. Interior is completely void of liner, liner band and chinstrap. Lot of Three (3) U.S. WWII Single Shot Break-Open Flare Pistols, 37mm, all with 8.2" round barrels, checkered integral grips with lanyard holes and good condition rope lanyards attached. No sights: 1) #946. Brass construction, marked "SKYLAR/LOS ANGELES CALIF" on right side grip and stamped "PT/3.44" on left side barrel. Condition overall is very good, with patina to the steel screws and pins and dark toning to the frame and barrel. Dark bore is good with flare residue present. Action and lockup operate smoothly. 2) #Z3855. Alloy construction, with holster, marked "SKYLAR/SIGNAL PISTOL/SAN FRANCISCO" on left side frame and stamped "PT/5.45" on left side barrel. Condition overall is good, the silver-colored finish mostly worn off, now darkened and showing patina. Bore is fair with flare residue present. Action and lockup operate smoothly. The black leather holster is unmarked and in fair condition with deep scratches to the front and other handling marks. All straps and fittings are present. 3) #B1068. Brass construction, marked "VAN KARNER CHEMICAL ARMS CORPS" and "VK-M12/PARACHUTE SIGNAL GUN" on frame. Left side grip stamped "PT 9/45". Extractor stamped "1017". Condition overall is fair, the metal retaining approx. 25% finish, showing wear, dents, scratches, and patina to the trigger guard. Grips are fair with stains and flattening to the checkering. Brown leather holster is marked "Kern Kiager & Cie/1941/BERLIN/(eagle-swastika)". Condition is very good retaining a bright color, now with water spots to the rear and scuffs to the flap and belt loops. There are eight small holes punched into the front at the flap line. All fittings and stitching are intact. 2) 268k. Marked "ayf 42" on left side frame. Condition overall is very good, the metal retaining approx. 85% finish. Grips are very good with an area of chipping to the right side. Bore has a few dark spots, otherwise rates as very good. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Lot of Four (4) French WWI Single Shot Break-Open Flare Pistols, 25mm, all with brass frame construction and round steel barrels, checkered hardwood grips with steel lanyard rings attached to butts, no sights, and matching numbers on frame and barrel: 1) #7878,7" barrel, marked "Mod.1917" and "Mecanicarm/"V half moon" on left side frame. Condition overall is good, with most of the finish worn from the steel parts, now showing scratches and patina. Brass has darkened with small spots to the left side. Left side grip has been reshaped and both sides are fair with wear and dents to the checkering. Bright bore has a couple of small spots, otherwise very good. Action and lockup operate smoothly. 2) #258. Model 1917 style with 7" barrel marked only with "V half moon" on left side frame. Condition overall is good, with patina to the steel surfaces and darkening to the brass frame. Grips are fair with a crack to the right side, handling marks, and flattening to the checkering. Bore is good. Action and lockup operate smoothly. 3) #2825, 4" barrel, marked "Mod. 1918 BteS.GD.G" on left side frame. Condition overall is good, with toning and patina to the steel parts and toning to the brass frame. There are battering marks to the right side frame and hammer. The black-painted grips show wear and handling marks. Bore is very good. Lockup is loose but the action operates smoothly. 4) #1693, 4" barrel, "Mod.1918" markings have been mostly removed from left side frame with "A inside hexagon" stamp present. Condition overall is good, with wear and patina to the steel parts and darkening to the brass frame. There are battering marks to the right side frame. The black-painted grips are good with wear to the checkering. Bore has a couple of spots, otherwise good. Barrel fits loosely to the frame but the action operates smoothly. Est.: $500-$750/Lot.
