Lot of Two (2) German WWII Leuchtpistole 34 Single Shot Flare Pistols, with Holsters, 26.5mm smoothbore cal., 6" round barrels with octagonal chambers, duralumin construction with blackened/anodized finish, checkered black bakelite grips with steel lanyard rings on butt of grips. No sights. Break-open actions with lever releases. Matching numbers on both frames and barrels: 1) #7078b. Marked "ERMA-ERFURT/1938" on left side frame. Right side frame and barrel marked with "stick eagle" proof stamps and "(eagle)77" inspection marks. Condition overall is good, the metal retaining approx. 50% finish, with edgewear and especially wear around the muzzle. Grips are very good with mild handling marks and flattening to the checkering. Bore rates as good with flare residue that may clean better. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Black leather holster is ink marked on the inside flap with a partially visible mfgr's name over "1939" and a faint stick "(eagle)WaA" stamp. Condition is fair showing cracking, scratches, and scuffs to the finish. Shoulder strap has rust frosting and wear to the leather. Steel cleaning rod with strap shows rust and patina. 2) #2641. Marked "ERMA-ERFURT/1939" on left side frame. Right side frame and barrel marked with "(crown)B & U" inspection stamps. Condition overall is good, the metal retaining approx. 65% finish, with dents, scratches, and edgewear to the finish. Grips are good with chips and flattening to the checkering. Bore rates as fair with areas of pitting. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Black fiber holster has a leather strip riveted to attach the flap which is ink stamped "gig/1942/eagle-swastika". Both pistols have matching numbers on frames and barrels and are marked with "(crown)B,U" and "(eagle)359" inspection stamps on right side frames and barrels: 1)#976. Marked "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis(Thur)/Walther banner/1939". Condition overall is fair, the metal retaining approx. 30% finish, with wear, scratches, and rust patina to the trigger guard and release lever. Muzzle has impact marks and is no longer round with damage to the right side. Black bakelite grips are good with wear, chips, and scratches to the bottoms. Bore rates as fair with pitting and darkening. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Black leather holster is unmarked. Condition is poor, the belt loops have been removed from the rear, and the bottom cap and stitching are missing from the last 3". 2) #880b. Marked "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella Mehlis(Thur)"/Walther Banner/1936". Condition overall is good, the metal retaining approx. 70% finish, with edgewear, scratches to the frame and barrel, and rust patina to the trigger guard, release lever, and hammer. Grips are good with chips and wear to the checkering. Muzzle has a small impact mark and is no longer round, with damage to the lower right side. Bore rates as fair with patina and dark spots. Action locks up and operates smoothly. Synthetic black holster is unmarked. Condition is fair with stiffness, impressions, and handling marks to the body and rust to the belt rings and rivets. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with fancy cast fittings showing age and scattered rust patina. All fittings have a dark aged patina. Broken finger chain remnants at pommel. 2) N.O.P. fraternal sword with 25.75" etched decorated double-edged blade with a very dark heavy rust patina. Fancy cast guard with knight and shield, black leather covered grip with decorative single wire wrapping shows scuffs and minor losses. Knight's helmet pommel with eagle on top, missing the finger chain. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with fancy cast fittings, missing the drag fitting, and having a very dark rust patina and dents. All the fittings have a dark aged patina. 3) N.O.P. fraternal sword with 30" etched decorated double-edged blade with gold wash and having a dark rust patina. Missing the finger guard chain. 4) N.O.P. fraternal sword with 30" etched decorated double-edged blade with dark rust patina and old dried grease. Fancy cast guard with knight on horseback, castle, and eagle above the oval, black leather covered grip with beaded single wire wrapping shows heavy wear and losses to the leather, knight's helmet pommel with eagle on top. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with fancy cast fittings showing age and heavy rust patina. All fittings have a dark aged patina. Intact finger guard chain from pommel to guard. 5.) N.O.P. fraternal sword with 28" plain nickel-plated blade with only a name in panel etched on the surface, mostly bright showing rust spotting and losses to the plating. Clamshell type crossguard with wreath, lily flower, and "U. R." for the Unform Rank of N.O.P. Group of Four (4) Interesting Fraternal Organization Swords. Post-Civil War to 1930's, many diverse fraternal organizations were active in America: 1.) Fraternal sword for the "Knights of the Tented Macabees" features a circular tent on the brass pommel, 28" plain double-edged blade with dark rust patina. Fluted black wood grip in good shape. Brass 'S"-shaped crossguard with shield is bent on one side. Steel scabbard with 3 hanging rings, missing the drag fitting, dark rust patina overall. 2) Fraternal sword for the "Independent Order of Odd Fellow" Patriarchs Militant branch. 30" etched decorated blade with member's name, showing light rust patina. Decorative brass crossguard, spiral wood grip with leather covering and beaded wide single wire wrap, brass world globe with crown for a pommel. Light wear to brass fittings. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with ornate brass fittings, scattered light pepper rust and light age toning to the fittings. 3) Unidentified fraternal sword, 28" double-edged plain blade, age graying and light rust patina. Nickel-plated crossguard with raised decorations, spiral cast aluminum grip, nickel-plated knight's head pommel, fittings show light oxidation. Black painted steel scabbard with single frog stud and decorated brass drag, with scratches and scuffs to the paint. Has a brass chain attached to the frog stud. 4) Fraternal sword for the "Knights of Pythias" in relic condition. 32" etched decorated blade with age graying and light rust patina. Fancy cast crossguard with knight, spiral grip with beaded wire wrapping, missing pommel. Guard and grip have been painted with gold paint over everything. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with fancy cast fittings, missing cap at throat, showing a dark rust patina and rust patches, the fittings have been painted black and the top one has some silver painted highlights added. Lot of Three (3) European Court Swords: 1) Spanish court sword, 30" plain double-edged blade, marked at the ricasso "TOLEDO" and dated 1867. Decorated brass clamshell guard with Spanish royal coat of arms surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, rear partial upturned guard with floral decorations and dog's head quillion. Brass grip simulating twisted wire wrapping, decorated finger guard and rounded pommel. No scabbard. Condition is fair, the blade with a dark rust patina overall but no edge nicks. Guard and hilt fittings have a dark uncleaned patina with remnants of the gold gilt finish in protected areas. Finger guard has an "S"-shaped bend to it. 2) Spanish court sword, 30" plain double-edged blade, marked at ricasso "TOLEDO" and dated 1871. Decorated brass clamshell guard with Spanish royal coat of arms surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, rear partial upturned guard with floral decorations and dog's head quillion. Brass grip simulating twisted wire wrapping, decorated finger guard and rounded pommel. On the underside of the front clam shell is an engraved presentation that reads "Recuerdo de Dn Basilio San Martin a suhermano Eduardo Asuero". Worthy of further research. No scabbard. Condition is fair, the blade with a dark rust patina overall but no edge nicks. Guard and hilt fittings have a dark uncleaned patina with remnants of the gold gilt finish in protected areas. 3. European court sword, probably French, late 19th or early 20th century, 33" blade with a double edge from the middle to tip, light engraved floral motifs, no maker markings. Clamshell front guard with goddess wearing a helmet with a bird on top. Flat finger with goddess decoration, curved pommel with helmeted goddess face. Grip panels are missing and were probably mother of pearl. Decorated brass side bands to grip. No scabbard. Condition is fair, the blade with a dark rust patina overall. Guard and hilt fittings have a dark uncleaned patina with remnants of the gold gilt finish remaining only in protected areas. Est.: $300-$500/Lot.

Lot of Three (3) European Boxlock Percussion Pocket Pistols: 1) #15, 10.35mm, 3" octagon SXS barrels marked "15" under each breech, iron frame marked "A.G.L." under breech with twin boxlock hammers/triggers, loop trigger guard, and 1-piece walnut bag grip. Condition is very good with traces of blue finish, else brown gunmetal with scattered dings to barrels. Grip is sound and smooth with light marks and most original varnish. Actions function (right hammer won't hold cock), smoothbores show light roughness. (2) NVSN, 10mm, 3" round SXS barrels have tiny illegible mark at right breech, iron frame has twin boxlock hammers/triggers, loop trigger guard, and 1-piece walnut bag grip. Condition is very good retaining no original finish but smooth gray gunmetal, scattered erosion to barrels. Grip is sound and smooth with most original varnish. Actions are strong, bores clean with rust to left side. (3) NVSN, 12mm, 2.5" single barrel, iron boxlock frame with tiny illegible mark under breech, and walnut bag grip. Condition is fair to good, being generally smooth gray gunmetal with scattered pitting. Grip is badly broken and missing wood at left frame juncture. Lot of Three (3) Antique Foreign & U.S. Percussion Muskets: 1) Converted to Fowler, NVSN, 16 ga., 37" round barrel marked "30/76" at breech. Lockplate is marked "1866/Tower" (presumed spurious as no British proofmarks are visible). Walnut halfstock has trapdoor in belly for percussion caps, iron nose cap, rib, 2 ferrules and ramrod. Condition is about good, the metal deep-aged brown with scattered erosion and good markings. Stock is sound with worn checkering at wrist and forearm, occasional nicks. Action functions, smoothbore has moderate roughness. 2) NVSN, .66 cal., 34.75" barrel is marked "110/KOT/517" atop 8.5" octagonal breech, flat lockplate has Rampant Lion holding a crown. Hardwood fullstock painted "D 7/74" at left butt has 3 thin brass bands and nose cap, iron ramrod. Condition is fair to good, the metal deep brown with scattered erosion, the stock with much wear and a metal repair at wrist, cracks/losses. Action is crisp, bore shows heavy erosion. (3) U.S. Model 1842 Musket Converted to Fowler, NVSN, 10 ga., 32.75" barrel is unmarked. Lock has Federal Eagle over "US", "Spring/Field/1848". Barrel shortened from 42", stock cut ahead of rear band, iron ferrule under barrel retains steel ramrod. Condition is about good as configured, showing dark brown gunmetal having scattered roughness, pitting at breech/nipple area, fair edges and markings. Stock is sound with many age and use marks. Trapdoor breechblock is marked "US/Model/1873" at hinge, flat lockplate has usual markings. Walnut stock has clear "SWP/1890" cartouche at left wrist, curved buttplate marked "US", was shortened to 4" above band. Condition is about good as configured having no original finishes, being dark gray gunmetal with scattered oxidation/roughness. Action is crisp, bore shows overall light erosion, good rifling. Antique American Muzzleloading Percussion Halfstock Plains Rifle, NVSN, .38 cal., 33.5" single key-retained octagonal barrel, buckhorn sights and drum percussion bolster, marked "C. Siebert Columbus, O" (brothers Charles or Christian Siebert, active in Columbus 1851-1915) on top flat; serpentine back-action lockplate bears the same markings; brass furniture includes scrolled finger-rest trigger guard, crescent buttplate with separate lower tang, "teardrop" sideplate, pewter nose cap, 2 iron ferrules retain the plain hickory ramrod; varnished tiger-striped maple halfstock. Double set triggers. Mfg'd ca. 1850s-60s. Condition is good retaining no original finishes but smooth brownish gunmetal gray barrel, dark gunmetal lock, rust-pitted hammer, and brass shows moderate age toning. Stock has a crack at the wrist and is otherwise sound and smooth, showing minor marks and darkened varnish with nice age patina. Nipple and ramrod replaced. Edges and markings are very good, action does not hold cock, bore shows overall black-powder etching and sharp rifling. Est.: $300-$400. (Antique)

Antique U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Infantry Rifle, #381204, .45-70 Gov't. cal., 32-5/8" barrel has front sight that doubles as lug for socket bayonet (not incl.), Buffington rear sight, "V/P/(Eagle head)" proofs at breech, trapdoor breechblock marked "U.S./Model/1884" at hinge. Flat lockplate marked "(Eagle)" and "U.S./Springfield" ahead of hammer. Oil-stained walnut fullstock has standard steel fittings, script "SWP/1889" (Master Armorer Samuel W. Porter) cartouche at left wrist. Mfg'd 1889 with blued finish but for casehardened trapdoor and tang. Condition is very good, the barrel and bands being smooth brown, the balance smooth dark-gray gunmetal with fine edges and markings. Stock is sound and smooth, likely having been sanded and re-oiled but with clear cartouche. Action is crisp, bore is bright with sharp rifling. Est.: $900-$1,500. (Antique)

Ornately Embellished Belgian Folding-Trigger Double-Action Pocket Revolver, NVSN, 7.65mm CF cal., 1.75" round barrel has hinged ejector rod with knurled head (marked "3"), removable cylinder pin below. Round 5-shot "scoop flute" cylinder has "3", "(star)/P" and "(crown)/ELG/(star" Liege proof on rear face. Solid frame has "(crown)/R/(star)/P" lug proof and loading gate at right, folding trigger, integral straps with 2-pc. mother-of-pearl grips. Nickel-plated frame/cylinder are profusely hand-engraved in a very fine floral-scroll motif. Condition is excellent retaining 97% frame/barrel nickel, 80% on cylinder with a couple small rust spots; mother-of-pearl grips have brilliant iridescence, one tiny spot of discoloration at left heel from rust on strap. Engraving, edges and markings are sharp. Action is crisp, lightly-frosted bore shows fine rifling. Easily concealed in a vest pocket, or in the purse of a "lady of the evening". Est.: $400-$600. Lot of Three (3) Flintlock and Percussion Muskets Altered to Smoothbore Fowlers: 1) European Flintlock, NVSN, .56 cal., 21.25" octagonal barrel. Rounded lock has scroll engraving, "swan's neck" cock. Hardwood halfstock has carved apron at top tang, ornate oval plate atop the thin wrist, brass trigger guard with urn front finial, peaked buttplate, fancy floral sideplate, shortened to 7" ahead of lock. Condition is good-to-very good, the barrel showing overall dark brown heavy pitting, else generally smooth metal with good detailing. Stock is sound having wear to carving, scattered wormholes, 3" secure crack at right butt, brass plate where cut square at nose. Lock appears to be original flintlock with unbushed touchhole. Included brass-tipped tompion. Action is strong, smoothbore shows heavy erosion. 2) U.S. Model 1863 Percussion Rifle-Musket, Type II, NVSN, .60 cal., 36" barrel has 1 iron ferrule retaining the hickory ramrod, "1864"-dated lockplate. Walnut stock shortened to 7.25" ahead of lock, has pewter nose cap, coarse checkering at wrist and forend. Condition is good-to-very good, showing heavy erosion to barrel and iron fittings, smoother lock with clear markings. Stock shows age/wear but is sound. Action is strong, smoothbore shows mild erosion. "Step-down" iron frame has barrel release push-button at left, central hammer, trigger guard with rear finger loop, varnished walnut buttstock with crescent buttplate. Mfg'd 1870s to ca. 1895. Hall/H. Ferry/U.S./1825". Iron fittings incl. trigger guard with sling swivel and scrolled finger rest, buttplate, 3 pinned bands (middle with swivel, top of the double-strap type retaining the button-tip ramrod). Oil-finished walnut fullstock. Condition is fair retaining no original finish, the brown-toned barrel having general cleaned pitting, as does the breechblock. Markings have been restamped or are double stamped. Stock is sound showing secure break repairs at top of wrist and right side below receiver, normal marks, and later varnish. Antique Composite U.S. Model 1816 Harpers Ferry Flintlock Musket, Type III, Shortened to Model 1817 Artillery Length and Re-Converted from Percussion, NVSN, .74 cal., 36" round barrel marked "V"/"P"/(eagle head)" at left breech; beveled lockplate with separate brass pan is marked "(federal eagle)/US" ahead of reinforced cock, "Harpers/Ferry/1831" vertically behind; steel fittings include 2-pc. trigger guard with sling swivel on rounded boss, straight buttplate, 3 spring-retained bands (top of the double-strap type with blade sight, middle with swivel stud, lower marked "19"). Oil-finished walnut 48.37" fullstock has a typical high comb. Mfg'd ca. 1831. Condition is fair as configured, the barrel shortened and shot (or bored) out from .69 cal., having crude weld repairs at top tang and area of former percussion nipple, not drilled for touchhole. Lock with replacement frizzen and spring, the cock missing its top jaw and screw, the high-comb stock perhaps from a M-1812 Type I musket. Metal shows generally smooth gray-brown, scattered cleaned erosion (pitting at barrel breech), good markings (sharp on lock). Stock shows old repaired thru-break at wrist, chips at top tang/rear of lock, crude re-shaping at middle band, and chipping at ramrod channel. Ramrod is a crude replacement. Condition is good, the iron showing no original finish but overall moderate erosion, brass with deep age patina, the forestock with scars of military use, the buttstock with worming and wood losses (esp. lower sides) but sound. Post-Civil War Roberts Breechloading Alteration to a Model 1863 U.S. Rifle-Musket, Type II, NVSN, .58 Roberts CF cal., 37" round barrel, block-blade front (also lug for angular bayonet) and 3-leaf rear sights marked "B" at breech, was fitted with new 4.5" receiver (marked "Robert's Pat/June 11, 1867" at left) having elongated rear tang with hook-type catch that drops open the hinged breechblock for cartridge loading/extraction; beveled lockplate marked "(spread-wing federal eagle)" and "U.S./Springfield" ahead of hammer, "1864" behind. Steel fittings include 2-pc. trigger guard with sling loop, curved buttplate marked "US" at top, 3 spring-retained bands (middle with sling loop), nose cap retaining the tulip-tip ramrod. Fullstock of oil-stained walnut. Mfg'd 1864, altered ca. 1869-70. Condition is fair to good, having suffered the trauma of a major stock break at the front of lock/receiver common to all Roberts conversions. There is a 3"x3/4" wood loss at left side.
